That first spike attempt “I told you to back off of him” me - “yeah thanks for the 2 second heads up and the worst aim attempt ever” lol I’m not knocking the officer but damn, he should’ve not said that “I told you to back off of him” when he literally gave the primary officer literally no warning ahead of time. Usually you give them a heads up that they are about to approach someone with strips so they have already backed off a little not that quick of a warning
love how he instantly started defending himself, didn't even have the bad kids in the car yet, or check on the trooper that came in second in the race to the ditch
I believe there is more of a lesson to learn here for the spiked tires rather than just blaming Officer Kou. Officer Wilhite announced at 1439 hours and 52 seconds that his location was at Interstate 430 and Stagecoach Rd. At 1440 hours and 21 seconds Ofc. Wilhite calls on the radio for Ofc. Kou to “back off of him” At 1440 hours and 27 Seconds Ofc. Wilhite threw the spikes missing the suspect vehicle as the suspect swerved to the shoulder on the opposite side of the road as Ofc. Wilhite. At 140 hours and 30 seconds Ofc. Kou ran over the spikes. In my opinion only I believe the location of where Ofc. Wilhite set up the spike was not the best location. From his location headed back there was only a straight stretch of road of roughly 530 feet most of which had trees on both sides of the road After Ofc. Wilhite Announced his location there was only 29 seconds between that and when Wilhite said to Kou to “back off” From the time Ofc. Wilhite said to “back off” to when he threw the spikes was only 6 seconds. After Ofc. Wilhite threw the spikes Ofc. Kou only had 3 seconds to determine where he was going to go before he got spiked. After the spikes were deployed and failed it appeared Ofc. Kou was going to assume Ofc. Wilhite was going to pull the spikes in so Ofc. Kou would go to the left of the spikes. Except Ofc. Kou veered to the right of the spikes at the same time Ofc. Wilhite pulled the spikes back causing Ofc. Kou to run over the spikes and putting him out of the pursuit. Here is me Monday morning quarterbacking because I know the Adrenaline when there is a police pursuit. I personally believe both officers should be at fault for this but not in trouble here is why. I believe the lesson to learn here is trying to communicate better and find a good spot to set up spikes as this location seemed to be not the greatest. I believe there just wasn’t that much time to back off as fast as he needed to and I personally feel that once you commit to go one way you stick with that direction because I think that if Ofc. Kou Would have stuck with veering to the left of the sticks he would have been fine. Lastly I also believe Ofc. Wilhite is throwing Ofc. Kou under the bus to the other guys on scene trying to articulate to the Sgt. calling him on how the flat tires are not his fault at all. All that said good job gents for getting bad guys off the street. Stay safe and thank you for your service.
The priority placed on public safety was evident as officers took decisive actions to mitigate potential risks, such as deploying stop sticks and terminating the pursuit when necessary. Their commitment to safeguarding both civilians and fellow officers is commendable and reflects their dedication to their sworn duty.
It would be easy to use one... Even two videos... or just slap together a video showing one cam then the other. Thanks for making the concerted effort to edit all this together!
Yes I’m aware of California law enforcement hands being tied in many ways. I thought the speed had to be below 35. I didn’t mean any disrespect to our officers. I couldn’t begin to endure what they do. Prayers for all law enforcement everywhere 🙏🙏🙏
NST have the best videos out there for ASP content. Great attention to detail and they always give a good event timeline that makes it easy to understand what's going on. A lot of other channels could learn a thing or two from NST. Great pursuit! I wonder what the life expectancy of an ASP patrol car is? 😂 They never let up and its impressive how they run down the suspects and force them to make driving mistakes. And LRPD did a great job at the start. Definitely teamwork between the agencies. Once again NST provides a thoroughly great account of this pursuit. Thank you very much. I may put a request in for a Bumper Sticker for my girlfriend as she loves these videos also. ❤
I love watching your videos. You could teach California a thing or two, especially how to pit a car. Thanks for sharing. Prayers for your safety always 🙏🙏🙏
California traffic officers ( PD, sheriff's, CHP) know how to PIT but are not allowed unless there are no cars around and speed is around 50 mph or less. Law enforcement will pursue felons with a fleet of helicopters from just about every agency (even small departments like Covina, El Monte, Glendale, Beverly Hills, Glendora, Burbank; share helicopters and pursue by air) California's goal - pursue till they run out of gas or the wheels fall off, etc. As long as no one gets hurt, they'll continue this method.
Man. As they're putting suspect in patrol car, that cop actually doubled down on blaming the other guy for his own bad stop stick deployment: not cool. It's one thing to blurt it out on the spur of the moment, but... man up.
Great video of all cops and troopers and it makes clear the haughty officer threw the spikes in front of the police, not the perp, and he should have kept his mouth shut afterwards. 🙄
In Washington state, if your pulled over in a school zone and have illegal drugs on you, it’s automatically a class one felony and your going to do at least 10-15 in the state penitentiary.
This was a long and arduous pursuit! So intense! You treated us to some of the most amazing high-speed driving available! One bad pull-back by that cop with the spike strips, he really should have been able to do better than that. I even felt my own adrenaline pump a bit during this one. Thanks very much NST ASP and Little Rock PD. Good work! One concern I do have watching the last half of the video, is that Ofc Wilhite is very concerning to me and many others here in the comments section. If Wilhite was the Officer who threw the stop sticks, then pulled them back directly into the path of the oncoming cop vehicle, then he's going to need a few things to happen to/for him...discipline for throwing the blame onto the driver of the police vehicle that he spiked, lots more training if he is to ever handle spike strips again, and at least a lecture from much higher ups about his unbecoming behavior while on duty. If he'd been paying attention at all, he would NOT have pulled the spike strips all the way back across the road placing them directly in the path of an officers vehicle pursuing the perp. Instead, he had his mind made up on what HE WANTED to do, and did not take spatial awareness into account at all. That was poorly executed.
My niece and I were about to turn onto John Barrow off Tanya as this pursuit came by on our green light. I wish people would be more logical when driving. But obviously they don’t care too much about the people that’s on the road with them. So glad they caught the driver.
Bro tried to say "I told you to back off of him" yeah well you still completely missed him and then pulled them right in front of OFC Kou. Should have walked across the road, laid the stop sticks down, let you line out, went back across, pulled slack, locked crank, then pull. But wait.... there's more. Then tried to make OFC Kou look bad over the entire net... Ya hate to see it. I remember my first day 😂
I love your videos. You guys are amazing and you do not give up. I watch your videos daily. I’m all for getting those who violate the law. Hats off to your service and dedication.
How many times is that LR officer going to blame his other unit for following the Malibu too close when he trhrew the sticks...he warned him like 3 seconds ahead of time. Let it go already!! The other unit was trying to stay in the chase and didn't have time to back off. You don't berate another officer over the air! Needs to be reprimanded!
I haven’t lived in LR for 40+ years but it’s cool to watch these pursuits where I grew up. A lot has changed but still familiar areas. ASP - be like heat seeking missiles.
For anyone curious: At 5:33 and 11:52, the pursuit passes what is essentially a castle on the left as they travel down Stagecoach Rd. (which you can obviously look up and view on Google Maps). It's well known locally here in Little Rock by most who are familiar with the area. And then immediately afterwards at 5:46 and 12:04, they pass what is known as the "Stagecoach House" on the left, which has actually a Civil War era construction, and there are historic Civil War markers very close to this area of southwest Little Rock. I'm very familiar with this area, being as they pass what was the entrance to my dad's house for several years in the mid 90's (at around 12:18), although you can't even really see what that property looks like now. I've got very fond memories of spending time there, and I will always revere that property. No clue who lives there now, or over the last 30 years or so since it was my dad's, but I loved it in my youth.
23:23 My GOD ! .........what happened there?????? Neither the camera car or the Trooper hit him when they had the chance. Unbelievable ! ! ! ! !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Little Rock PD REALLY needs to invest in the new automatic suitcase spike strip deployment and rewind after hit system, no more law enforcement damage, although 2X90 did try very well!
41:14 No, you pulled them directly into their path......if you had left them, they would have missed them.....but it was a split second decision and not a wrong decision.....

So glad to hear you still loving cars. Im only 65 but have a 429 in a 68 Cougar. Been to Perth a bunch of times. Much love to our friends in AU.
Too cool! Nice post. ❤
I love the charges being shown over "Arkansas (You Run Deep in Me)". Classy touch NST. Great video.
Enjoyed the chase but i sure do miss the driving skills of trooper j. Byrd
I told him to back off.... smh. He pulled the stop sticks and made him run over them.
He still didn't back off. He needed to be back far enough so he had time to clear. But he wasn't.
Thanks NST for another exciting chase through your beautiful state. You have the best, fine tuned police videos on YT.. ❤️
A clean car is a fast car.
Did he pass the disabled LRPD vehicle that got spiked earlier? That's hilarious 😂
Yes he did it tripped me out at first but realized it was a second pass by because it was a trooper behind him instead of a black and white haha
yep. like a circle around
Yes he did 😅
The cop at 29:18 has nice moobs and beer belly.
ooh the ASP boys got 'em a whiskey tango goober.... good work ! I just wonder how many units the state has to junk out each year because of wrecks while chasing fleeing perps.
Why would they care, it's our tax dollars funding it.
@@metalmamasue3680 I didn't say they cared. I said I'm curious. You may pay for it. I don't live in AR.
Ah I wanted a Free Sticker but I live in Canada. At least Little Rock Police/Arkansas State Police are not after me. I like the videos but I find it sometimes difficult to hear the officers speaking on the radio, but I like the action. Thanks Natural State Transparency and also Thanks to all Police Officers who put their lives in danger so humanity can have some safety in their life. Thanks Truly!!!
Fill out the form anyway and put your CA mailing address. I'll send ya one.
OK thanks I will do so. A nice gesture for sure on your part. @@NaturalStateTransparency
Usually you give them a heads up that they are about to approach someone with strips so they have already backed off a little not that quick of a warning
that is the worst stop stick deployment i have ever seen. stage it on the far side and pull toward you
Or at least pull it back before the other officers hit the sticks. Either way I agree that's a bad deployment
Idk man he got all 4 tires, just on the wrong vehicle. lol
love how he instantly started defending himself, didn't even have the bad kids in the car yet, or check on the trooper that came in second in the race to the ditch
Kou to “back off of him”
At 1440 hours and 27 Seconds Ofc.
From his location headed back there was only a straight stretch of road of roughly 530 feet most of which had trees on both sides of the road
After Ofc. Wilhite Announced his location there was only 29 seconds between that and when Wilhite said to Kou to “back off”
From the time Ofc.
Hope the trooper is okay with that broken finger ouch!!
Tell me you need two on the request form and I got u. Ty brother!!
When the troopers step in they are awesome. Well trained and relentless.
It's amazing how oblivious drivers are.
AWESOME JOB OFFICERS/TROOPERS, STAY SAFE TY.
I can’t imagine being that officer with the flat tires getting passed by the pursuit that he started. #feelinghelpless
You Must Be From L.A.😂
Man. As they're putting suspect in patrol car, that cop actually doubled down on blaming the other guy for his own bad stop stick deployment: not cool.
It's one thing to blurt it out on the spur of the moment, but... man up.
Blue Falcon. He was quick to dime him out.
nearly 2 dozen times it was mentioned in this video.(under the bus type co worker m/o)
He just seems to be a know it all. Probably irritating to other officers.
@@PeggyLowman-ug6vo BINGO
Word has it officer Wilhite's arms are still shaking to this day.
Great video of all cops and troopers and it makes clear the haughty officer threw the spikes in front of the police, not the perp, and he should have kept his mouth shut afterwards. 🙄
Me thinked he protested too much!😂😊
Thank you blue for all you do ❤
THANK YOU NST! WAS A WELL CONSTRUCTED RIDE. YOU'RE THE BEST. 😊
Kudos to these officers 👮. Good job officers ❤
The one police officers arms were shaking when he was pointing his gun. The adrenaline was running high
Just getting around to watching this one, NST. Brilliant editing. Really, really good. Keep it up! Congrats on 100K+!
In Washington state, if your pulled over in a school zone and have illegal drugs on you, it’s automatically a class one felony and your going to do at least 10-15 in the state penitentiary.
That was the most convenient car wash in history.
Outstanding job, ASP!!!
Failed pits surprised me. These guys and gals are the best in the game.
bravo pour l'arrestation, pour cette magnifique chanson et ce superbe couché de soleil!!
Arkansas doesn’t play! God bless the Leo’s out there, we appreciate and respect your work!
Thank you for putting this together. This was the most exciting pursuit video I have ever seen.
A beautiful song ❤ 🎶
W White calm down buddy. You want that man to get in trouble. It’s giving I wanted all credit for this stop. A car 🚔 is damaged but White hold up.
Glad y’all are okay! LR be wild sometimes!
It definitely does! I love your videos!💫💫
The chase that had it all!
Unbelievable…they don’t make near enough money . That was the craziest chase ever. This channel’s so addictive .😮
Who ever was driving that car had no regard for life.....
That driver has a future in NASCAR if he ever gets out of jail
Epic exit out of the car wash
Gotta look the best for the pursuit.
8:42 Did that cop come straight out of a car wash into high-speed pursuit?
I absolutely love and respect the work that the ASP does, along with supporting police forces!
Transporting Fentanol should be prosecuted as attempted murder.
It is in Arkansas at least the governor is trying to make it that way
That trooper was shaking like crazy
Love how the cop takes out the other cops tires lol
My heart starts pumping when I hear Arkansas Troopers’ music.
Thought Arkansas was a sleepy state. It’s one heck of a ride!
Be safe Troopers. 💜💜💜
I haven’t lived in LR for 40+ years but it’s cool to watch these pursuits where I grew up. A lot has changed but still familiar areas. ASP - be like heat seeking missiles.
For anyone curious:
At 5:33 and 11:52, the pursuit passes what is essentially a castle on the left as they travel down Stagecoach Rd.
31:57 "What do you want me to do?" A: "All my paperwork and let me take a nap!" 😂 Great answer!
23:23 My GOD ! .........what happened there?????? Neither the camera car or the Trooper hit him when they had the chance. Unbelievable ! ! ! ! !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Haha cop did a horrible throw in those spikes then blamed it on the other cop. When really they both just got too excited and screwed it all up.
Little Rock PD REALLY needs to invest in the new automatic suitcase spike strip deployment and rewind after hit system, no more law enforcement damage, although 2X90 did try very well!
Is that really a thing?
Stopsticks should be put on the shelf, too dangerous, pit is much safer for the officers
They shouldn't do high speed chasing for non violent crimes. It's illegal in some places because innocents get killed.
Sad.... one cop throwing another one under the bus.
Call me a sexist, but that job is made for men. Bless them.
That was an epic chase
I'm not a cop, but I have to say the Little Rock Police out performed the Troopers
If you can hear the sirens it’s too late to deploy spikes. They will be using that one as a training tool on HOW NOT to deploy spikes.
41:14 No, you pulled them directly into their path......if you had left them, they would have missed them.....but it was a split second decision and not a wrong decision.....
