Also, that Magnet was dual purpose which don't just used to levitate statues in air But That magnet use to protect temple from any invadors coming through sea route (as temple was surrounded by sea water that time)..it deviates the compass needle of ppl whoever tried came that way & mislead their locations....
But unfortunately, after Islamists entering through other side of country.. reached there & removed that magnet from top which led to destruction/fall of that Main Part/Sec. of temple.

The Konark sun temple actually moved. And was built in the middle of the ocean. Each of its wheel is a sundial Currently the wheels are fixed with Cement and other stuff. And it has been plundered over the years quite a lot, especially for the magnet and other precious gold and ornaments. The dome of the temple was laid by a kid of an artisan who was hired for the manufacturing of the temple out of the 10k. Who had been at it for the 12 years. The artisan had not seen his child since his wife's pregnancy. The kid laid down the dome and jumped off of it into the ocean to save all of the artisans' lives from the emperor's wrath.
Konark is just 40km away from Lord Jagannath Temple, Puri (Eastern Dham), Odisha, India. Konark temple is a UNESCO world heritage site and is known as the Black Pagoda often helping sailors in the Bay of Bengal, while the Jagannath Temple at Puri known as the White Pagoda did the same. The Puri Jagannath, The Sun temple at Konark and the Lingaraj Temple at Bhubaneswar 60 km away dedicated to Lord Shiva are said to form part of a single triangle.
P.S. Emperor Narasimhadeva I (Fondly remembered as Langula Narasimhadeva I (due to his overuse of long robes which flowed behind him like a tail(Langula in vernacular))) laid down the Konark. Or commissioned the laying of it.

A big salute to Rogers for effortlessly spelling out those difficult sanskrit words of cities & places. 🙏 Even most of the Indians can't spell out properly the city name Thiruvananthapuram so lot of people call it Trivandrum in short. Lol
For more further curiosity.... I'm giving you two names. Find out the story/historical or ancient facts behind them.
    1) the underwater submerged city of Dwarka
    2) the Ram setu aka Adam's bridge.
    3) Mount Kailash
    4) Lord Jagannath temple in Puri
Both science and mythology approved their stories of existence.

India is the birthplace of all types of knowledge. Ancient india was highly advanced because it was spiritually advanced. Ancient Indians were dieties of God and soul concious. With power of soul one can do anything impossible because body has limitations and soul does not. Hence that era was known as satyuga or golden age.

Kailasha temple was constructed by an weapon given by lord Shiva to the king, that was actually a lazer gun powered by nuclear energy. That weapon is still believed to have been hidden in cave under the temple. That weapon is believed to be used in future by Lord Kalki. King had taken a vow to fast untill he sees the top of the temple, means not to eat untill temple construction is completed. Hence to save His devotees life lord Shiva intervened and gave the weapon and the idea to carve from top.

That is the Lotus Footprint of Lord ShriRam when He came there in search of Sita. Jatayu, a devotee of Lord Ram risked his life in saving Sita from being kidnapped and as a result, was taking his last breaths when Lord Ram arrived with His Younger brother Lakshman.
When he was found, ShriRam held him in His Arms and repeatedly told the Mighty Eagle," Rise oh bird, rise oh bird!"
According the Language spoken there (Telugu), it is said as," Le, pakshi".
Soon, the place got its name as Lepakshi. There is a Samadhi for Jatayu, the place where he attained liberation. He is so fortunate to leave his body in the Arms of ShriRam, The Supreme Lord!!!
The funeral rites were performed by ShriRam and Lakshman, post which, The Duo headed South in search of Sita, towards Rishyamukh mountain, near Kishkinda in Karnataka.

It is believed that Hindus in ancient times, very early on, had advanced tools, technology and archeological expertise which the Moguls destroyed and we lost all that knowledge. The universities and the books burnt for weeks on end, there was that much material. We were very advanced, the old temples have stood test of time and changing climates over centuries- 1000 of years later, those are still standing and the carvings and structure are still intact. So very fascinating. It’s a shame Indian government doesn’t promote these amazing aspects for tourism or maintain these marvelous temples.
