- Labour is speeding up asylum claims for tens of thousands of migrants who were supposed to be sent to Rwanda.
Of the 90,000 migrants told they could be deported, around 60,000 are now expected to have their claims approved.
Some migrants took their cases to the High Court and were told yesterday that their claims will be processed within a week as a priority.
Former PM Rishi Sunak's policies blocked illegal arrivals from getting refugee status, causing a huge backlog of cases over the past 18 months, with no deportation flights to Rwanda.
Sir Keir Starmer, who has ended the Rwanda scheme, announced that processing will start on the estimated 90,000 claims.

I think you may mean "Prohibited Entry". "Prohibited Immigrant" gives the impression that a person has perhaps ALREADY been given (at least provisionally) permission to enter and stay. Just a nitpicky point, but significant.
You guys are only pointing at the symptom but not the actual root cause of the problem , most of the migrants who come here or to any other developed nations are mostly english speaking and were part of former colonies. Unlike UK take France for example or even spain as they never against taking immigrants from their former colonies as they speak same language and use it as a strength to build a better future for everyone without any issues so the problem lies with British Empire who's committed endless horrors and crimes in their former colonies which is why most of the freedom moment was from British colonies unlike other two where till this day they share healthy relationship between them and transfer of power was done amicably after the world war ended.
So the solution is to house the asylum seekers in a separate place where they could peacefully settle and give them financial aid to improve their lives without complaining and appoint someone who share their roots to explain them about the values and culture of the place inoreder to make easier for them to integrate .

The immigrants coming over illegally are being exploited by criminals making money from them, and many of these immigrants are dying along the way. The boats need to be immediately stopped, and people sent back to where they came from. It's called illegal for a reason! Our country has its right to protect its own people and its integrity and values. Alot of immigrants don't work and they live off benefits, they don't segregate properly in communities and they live like animals. We see it everywhere, so stop turning blind eye to what's really happening. It's been a problem for a long time. People are get fed up, angry and frustrated and if things carry on the way they are there will be more than just riots. The British people rightly want things to be sorted and we can't afford to carry on living like this when the NHS is pretty much finished, young people can't afford housing, the cost of living is sky high, interest rates are rising and day by day it's getting worse and worse. We aren't going to house asylum seekers in a separate place. If they want to come to our country they will segregate, learn the language, get a job and pay their bills like everyone else. It's not a holiday. They will get some money to begin with but the rest is up to them. If they don't find a job within a certain amount of time or segregate properly then out they go. This country isn't responsible for paying for those who come to to this country to doss around, have 5 kids and live off benefits for the rest of their lives. It doesn't matter where you come from the same applies.

I am white english, back in the mid 80's during the summer, i used to pick fruit, bus was full of english people, young and old women (old women were the ones who picked the most, super quick), why do we need migrants to pick fruit, there is enough english kids, older people who would love to earn a bit of extra cash
We do where I live. I live in Kent and not one British person can get a job fruit picking as all their employees come from Eastern Europe. Not Muslims. Bus loads turn up on a Friday at my local Tesco and the. Send all their money back with money grams. I worked farms as a teenager and made lots of money. But my kids were turned away
I would suggest that the British people not worry too much, because seeing the way things are going there, very soon

The problem with raising CGT is that it doesn’t just affect the wealthy living off their investment portfolios, essentially replacing income with capital withdrawals. I have run a very small business for the past 40 years which I am just about to sell for a modest sum, it’s a one-off opportunity for me to realise some value from my life’s work. Currently, I will pay CGT at 20%, which seems fair but to increase this to 45% does not! I have paid income tax on my earnings throughout the 40 years and have been happy and privileged to do so but to have my business sale taxed at 45% after all these years just seems grotesque. It is also anti-aspirational and anti-growth; what will be the point of building a business at all?

Genuine refugees are not economic migrants, they are guests, here on a temporary basis until it is safe for them to return to their own country. They can study, volunteer, but letting them work just means we have added an unskilled category to the legal Tier based system that we have zero control over. If we built secure camps and refused them the right to ever work, the numbers would probably fall. They come here because they know they are not going to be sent back, will be put in an unguarded hotel, and can slip away during the day to do delivery work. Starmer's migrant swapping idea is not a bad one, as who will pay three grand to traffickers just to be swapped with someone else in Europe. That flaw lies in the fact that the EU will only want genuine migrants, not economic ones and certainly not criminals.
All pay rises in the Public Sector should be conditional on employees dumping the WOKEISM Iin the work place.
