- Britain could offer Albanians a “bespoke route” to have their immigration cases heard quicker in a bid to “grip” the number of arrivals, the Government has said.
Immigration minister Robert Jenrick said the proposals under consideration could make it easier to return unsuccessful applicants to Albania, with talks expected with Tirana and the French to ease the “serious” situation.
MPs previously heard that some 12,000 Albanians have arrived in the UK after crossing the Channel so far this year, of whom 10,000 are single, adult men. This is compared with 50 in 2020.
Mr Jenrick said he will be “giving a lot of thought in the coming days” on what can be done in conjunction with the Albanian authorities.
He told the Commons: “Around a quarter of those individuals who crossed the short strait this year alone have come from Albania. On some boats 80% of the individuals are coming from Albania.

We can't look after our own never mind millions of illegal immigrants. Why should the people of Britain suffer in every single way to provide for people who the majority are here to commit crime or just for the freebies, because there is no way these thousands upon thousands of people are coming here for work, a small minority might be but the majority aren't.
This sir Roger MP makes no logical sense, acuses Jeremy of being ignorent to defne them as criminals. He states there is no evidence to suggest they are criminals but it has been recognised by the police commisioner that Albanians gangs causing crime in London has gone up significantly. 2 If this rules of his argument are consistent we actually don't have any evidence IF they ARE NOT criminals which is why we have a legal immigration system if which they are more than happy to break the law to enter illegally which is a clear suggestion as to their mindset that they feel if they are justified they will break the law again while in United Kingdom. 3. He has s**** all over the system in place but has no alternative. 4. The truth he probably has a nice house in London and a second in the countryside, gets driven around everywhere so he isn't affected but the average native person here is. 5. He said intially they come illegally because they can't afford to get a visa but in the same breath says they are paying huge amounts to the traffickers🤔this country isn't doing well economically so they arnt coming here for legal jobs.

I'm glad the man from London mentioned the Suffolk and Norfolk coasts as my mother lives in Felixstowe and they have rowing boats appear on their beaches early in the mornings , her and my dad are scared to leave their home without other members of the family with them. They have stopped using their garden and stay locked in their home as they are on the seafront, they will not even have their windows open while it's just them. How is this any way to live? They are not the only ones to now live this way, most of the elderly seafront population are living the same way. Why on earth should they be scared to leave their own homes? It's not like the authorities don't know it's happening as they have been told time and time again!!!

I also felt offended by his interpretation/impression of the type of people who complain about this situation!!! Whilst on holiday in Spain a couple of weeks ago we went to a restaurant that was owned by an Indian guy, who was telling us he went from India to the Uk to attend university, after getting his degree he applied for a Uk visa and was refused, so he ended up in Spain.
Many of the migrants coming to UK have already lived in Germany, France , Italy before coming to Uk for Freebies.

People looking into this are finding, the way it's set up, at least 80%(and rising) of pensioners will be affected by this. I am also one of them. Does England have a lot of veterans who are homeless? We have so many here in the US. It seems like the politicians can always find the money to put illegal immigrants into hotels. And many of those hotels are 3, 4 & even 5 star hotels. We also feed, clothe, educate & give them free medical care. But when it comes to veterans who are homeless, all we hear is crickets. A veteran can make an appt. with the VA but, most appts. are at least 6 months away. Even for mental health.

Sanctimonious MPs like Sir Roger make my blood boil! My Ukrainian wife had to apply for 3 separate visas over the course of 4 years to be able to remain with me in the UK whilst genuinely escaping a troubled war-torn country. We paid for her NHS fees as a separate payment, paid for the application, collected a ton of supporting documents. She has been in full time employment for over 3 years now paying for her way. And then you have individuals, in some cases criminals that are simply looking for a more prosperous life, that can just jump on a boat, arrive to the UK, front of the queue and have all of their expenses paid for. If the laws don't work for the nation - change them, simple, if only our ruling elite had the appetite for change.
