- Isabel Oakeshott tells Dr David Bull she was “shocked” by what she witnessed in Boston, Lincolnshire, adding that is had been “overrun with migrants”.
"Those who were born in Boston, particularly women, are now afraid to go to the town square at night,” she adds.

I have been working for almost 50 years and paying my taxes. I was unemployed for 6 weeks in 2009 and was offered £42 per fortnight. That didn't even cover my weekly food bill. I have been a foreigner living in this country since 2000. I was recruited in my own country to come and work in the UK, to do one of those jobs English people aren't very keen on doing. I settled, adapted to the British way of living and their culture and their laws. Later, I finished my education degree, changed jobs, and carried on living in the UK,. In the meantime, I've witnessed the changes this country has been slowly subjected to, all due to the increasing number of emigrants flooding the British borders. I can testify that everything Isabel says is truly happening, and this is a foreign citizen witnessing it!

i think the ppl at the top end of society live in a bubble where the only migrants they meet live in their posh circles and are all doctors etc, i worked in benefits and i met the other side of the coin in large numbers who were not doctors etc, who i had to get an interpreter to even speak to and ask basic questions (at no small cost to the tax payer). i also live in an area where the high streets are full of migrants who hang around together dont speak english or chose not to and locals feel vulnerable, they cant speak about how they feel as they are called racist for it. i cant see where this is going but i dont think its anywhere good. maybe the demographic will start to work in a few years and we will get a set of new laws or exclusion's that are more favourable to diverse communities, that will be fine though because it will all be democratic.

17.4 million is an official government figure. We know where to put those. If the results of the referendum were really so close, they'd have switched the votes. The real number of Leave voters was much more than claimed.

@@patgard36 That 17.4million is getting towards only half the amount now. Many have died off over last 8 years (as many were older demographic - and the younger demographic entering voting age are polar opposite in sentiment) - and many of those reminaing have also changed their mind.
Only one third or population now believe leaving EU was right thing to do.
33% of 33.6million people (total tunrout in 2016) is ~ 11million.
So 11 million might be upset - but that is exactly the number of Reform plus Conservative voters - so they are preumably unhappy with this government right now .
So that is not going to change any in future

@user-gp4ic5lb1t I was quite young so may have some of this wrong but I think it was 2005/ish. Blair signed onto a deal with the EU allowing for free movement of people across the block. This meant a sudden influx of people, primarily from Eastern Europe, all coming over as economic migrants. Organised crime went up, as did drug rings, people trafficking and prostitution. We've been in steady decline ever since, with the world and its mother joining them.

Oddly enough they made a TV series about it a few years back. Called "Wild Bill". A former us chief of police takes the job of chief constable in a fictional south Lincolnshire force headquartered in Boston. Starred Rob Lowe (The West Wing) and ran for 6 episodes in 2019. Was very woke. But it did focus a lot on problems of violent crime and drug dealing from a growing immigrant (largely eastern European) community.
It wasn't well received from what I can recall although whether that was due to acting/writing or critics getting all hurty about showing immigrants as criminals I cannot say.
