Mick Doohan the Aussie was a superstar, a superstar that would face a terrible accident and almost lost his leg. The race tracks were good for Mick, but they weren’t always in his favor. His racing career is proof of that.
Mick would be number one if it ever came to a contest of bravery and determination. He was not just a racing legend but a rider that faced so much but never gave up and always came back fighting harder. He was a five-time champion winner in the premier class, NOT ONLY THAT, he won those 5 titles consecutively and even made it to the Australian Hall of Fame, something that most could only dream of. He started his races in the 1980 Australian Superbikes and won. He eventually achieved victory at the final Australian motorcycle GrandPrix before it became a worldwide championship, and after that it then relocated to Phillip Island.
Mick Doohan the AUSSIE was a SUPERSTAR indeed. His first debut in the Grand Prix was with Honda while riding a two-stroke NSR 500cc motorcycle. He claimed his first victory much later in the 1990 season at the Grand Prix in Hungary and rose to 3rd position in the championship.
Mick paired with Wayne Gardner in 1991 while riding a Honda superbike. He proceeded to win the eight-hour endurance race in Suzuka.
