    Thank you so much this was so helpful! Ik this is super late but i'm a junior right now and i would literally die to go to caltech its my absolute dream school but i was looking at the caltech supplementals and i was wondering what you wrote down for the section where it asks for what specific STEM awards you have? bc i am seriously lacking in that department lmfao!

    • @wAngel5
      @wAngel5  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey! I didn't have too many STEM awards. Most of them were just honorable mentions at math competitions, and I also participated in state round Knowledge Bowl competitions with a team. If you don't have many awards I would focus on personal projects that you may have done to show your particular interest in STEM. Good luck!

    Kind of off topic but since I saw your interview with Amy, I'm curious. Would you choose Caltech again if you could go back? I'm accepted for 27 bur I also have Georgia Tech and Berkeley as my options and I just wanna be in a place where I would be happy and successful and not depressed. I'm scared of Caltech quite frankly. 😅

      Congrats on your acceptance! I would say it depends on what you want out of your college experience. I wanted to go to a small, strong academic school in California while still being able to play volleyball, which is why I chose Caltech. Though every school has its downsides, I have made many friends and had great experiences here, so I would choose Caltech again. It's very challenging and daunting of course, but I have enjoyed my experience here and am not sure how I would fit in at a different school. I also really enjoy the house system and collaborative aspect here. Best of luck with your decision!

    Dont give me hope 😭😭 Seriously though, thank you for making this video. Would you say that a lot of other students at Caltech are similar in this way? Also, have you seen anyone with a less than stellar gpa? (3.8 ish)

    • @wAngel5
      @wAngel5  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can do it! I would say everyone did different things in high school, and there isn't a single "right path" you need to follow to get in. I know several Caltech students who hate math and never did any competitions. I also never asked people what their gpas were, so I'm not sure. Good luck!

    • @wAngel5

      Thank you!! I emailed the head coach and sent them my game highlights. Caltech does recruiting differently where you have to still be able to get in academically, and you are essentially on the team if you do get in and were recruited!
