      Foot pad can help, also might sound strange but try not to dance on heals with fresh manicure. Sometimes we buy cute dancing socks. But the pain unfortunately after many hours of dancing is real 😅

    Are there any brands you can recommend for a very high arch? I have not yet found a shoe where the bottom (middle) of my foot would touch the sole... every single time my foot is arched more than the sole and is literally "in the air, with no support", no matter the heel size (can't go above 8,5 cm though).

    • @DanceWithRasa
      @DanceWithRasa  ปีที่แล้ว

      Have you ever tried on playing with shoe size, getting a half size bigger, that helps sometimes. The other option you can try is finding a place where they make shoes according to your foot. Might be a bit more expensive but would be a perfect shoes 😉.

    I need help... this might be long. But I started salsa lessons again. I'm in the intermediate level. I'm PLUS SIZED. Dancing in heels is very difficult for me since I'm too heavy so I have a very low heel. Yet I still have trouble staying off the heel. I should state that I have a bad ankle injury from years ago. I have metal plates in my ankle but now that I've been dancing again , my ankles are so sore and achy
    Any tips?
    Also, I don't get asked out much when social dancing. I go out alone and I feel so dumb standing there. Sometimes I wonder if it's because I'm plus sized. It shakes my confidence. It's hard to see all the pretty girls get asked and me not so much 😕

      Hi darling, so lovely to hear from you 😊. Let's start at the emediate thing that we can fix and that is wear flats. You have injuries and your health and ability to dance is more important then heals.
      Secondly, unfortunately some people can be a bit cruel and not dance with someone for numerous reasons. You can't let that affect your passion ❤.
      And thirdly, you health is important. And body and mind is very connected, we need to take care of them both. I would like to hear more of your story , maybe I can help more 🥰

    Hi Rasa, I've been dancing Salsa and Bachata on 7 cm heels for quite some time now (about 4 years) and that worked pretty well. Recently, I decided to buy some new dancing shoes which are 9 cm high, so much higher, but now I struggle dancing on them. Specifically, the inside and outside turns are rather difficult for me because I'm loosing my balance quickly. I know I have to keep my weight on the balls of my feet and keep the core engaged and spot and so on, but do you have any tips maybe on how to learn to adjust to higher heels? Is it just a matter of practice? Also I'm quite short (1,53 cm), so maybe that's also one factor that plays a role because I basically feel like a ballerina on her toes when turning :D
    Anyways, I hope you understand what I mean!
    Lot's of love

    • @DanceWithRasa
      @DanceWithRasa  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I know exactly what you mean 😁. Firstly yes it is a matter of getting used to it and trying to change your body weight and find it again. But sometimes its not the heal its the shoes. If you bought a different style of shoe it might just not match your arch and stop you from feeling comfortable 😉.

    Is there a way to know what your arch type is or what the arch type of a shoe is when buying online? Or do you only really know once you try on different shoes?

    • @DanceWithRasa
      @DanceWithRasa  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unfortunately a lot of it is trial by error if you buy online. Good idea to try some shoes in congresses and then try finding similar designs online. And don't be shy to send shoes back if they don't fit 😉
