- How to work with the goddess Freyja in deity work is the topic for todays video! Deities for beginners and deity work in general have always been a high interest in witchcraft. Freyja or as some also spell it Freya, is an amzing deity. Goddess Freyja is from Norse Mythology and has an amazing impact on those who work with her. This video will include beginner witch tips, witchcraft tips, Freyja offerings, Freyja altar, Freyja mythology, and even signs of Freyja that shes calling out to you. If you are a beginner witch feel free to take notes and if youre a witch in general looking to take notes youre more than welcome to as well! Freyja helped me out a few months ago. I asked her to help me find someone to help me feel like I used to and help me find someone I could love. I told her all I had to offer was the beer in my hand and my gratitude. I was depressed when I asked this. And she helped me. I owe her so much. And I still show her gratitude on a regular basis

I can’t always leave physical offerings, because I’m poor, but I leave her personal things such as writings and drawings etc.

I have worked with Freya for a good while now and im happy to wear her rune daily. She is definitely a gentle being but not shy to get you up and motivate you. I have found that sweet red wines, cherries,chocolate and strawberries are also good offerings. Cowslip herb is good to offer, it is associated with beauty and youth, the actual medical part of that plant is good to make a wash and clean your face with it, it tightens your pours and clears skin. One sacred animal she really enjoys is cats. She has two cats that pulled her chariot, Thor actually gave them to her as a gift. So I have a mountain lion skull on her altar she is very fond of and i wear a oath ring with cat heads for her. She has a cute sense of humor and likes to tease you lol but in a fun way if that makes sense. She is super protective and a great teacher in herbs, runes, and seidr. I work mainly with her and Anpu/Anubis and they get a long well together.

@buckley baker Freya and Isis are syncretic in a ton of occult/pagan/esoteric circles and Anubis is a fierce protector of Isis so it makes sense :)
Anubis is also associated with jackals, which are often associated in mythology with foxes/coyotes ‘trickster’ animals that often guard ‘mother’ goddesses. I think volva/volven used to wear fox pelts for a reason.
I use rose quartz and amber for Freyja. I actually bought an amber ring, and amber earring set for her. The ring I never take off. I also have a pink candle that is strawberry vanilla scented and it is her absolute favourite candle that I have bought for her. Strawberries I have learned are something she really likes
Also learning runes for divination or magick is a great way to bond with her
How can you tell when a Deity likes the offering you place for them?
I asked freya for the first time to help me with money 3 days later I got a huge amount of money, never gave an offering I never knew much about her but I will start giving offers and make an altar for her saw her in my meditation once she has really long red hair she is so gorgeous too

You really don’t have to wait to “see what, if any, deity is calling out to you.” You really can just approach one that you’re interested in and ascertain whether they’re receptive or not. The only “call” you really need is whether you and the deity resonate.
Frejya has been trying to work with me for months. I kept pulling her card in my Goddess deck over and over and over and over again until it finally clicked for me. I’m also of Norwegian descent so it makes sense. I’m just so relieved that it finally clicked for me and I can begin working with her. Thank you for your video it helped a lot. Good video, but a couple of things....1) Yes, she's love and passion. But she's also war and death. she is queen of the valkyr. 2) Gold is also a great color for her because she is royalty. Freyja means "Lady" in the formal sense. 3) She LOVES music, stories and poetry as well. 😊
Fun Fact: it is actually a misconception that Freyja is queen of the Valkyries. There's no evidence to support this claim
I adore Freyja, I think it's interesting because she specifically wanted sunflowers for her and yellows on my altar area. Which I hadn't heard anyone talk about before.

Freyja appeared in my dream 😴 I had never seen her or heard of her. In my dream I went lucid and knew exactly who she was as if it had been years since I had seen her. She taught me a spell; just for me.

Great video! I just started working with Freya and am planning my altar. I believe I read that if you keep sliced apples in water, they will keep longer. Maybe this would be a good way to leave a sliced apple offering to her. I also cracked up when you spoke about aesthetics and mentioned the falcon, boar, chariot but not cats LOL cats were the first thing that came to my mind for animals! Man, no kidding freya appears in dreams and visions, had a pretty intense vision of her just looking at me and a hawk flying to her arm, no clue what it means but yeah still trying to figure out what she’s wanting.

When I discovered goddesses and deities Freya came immediately to my mind , I have an offering bowl and leave her pretty things small crystals , charms and a small goddess ornament . I ask for her assistance and watch over me while spell casting . She's very cool
You could also leave things contained inside of bags! Like candy or plantain-chips!

I’m so glad I looked this up. She’s been calling out to work with me, pretty strongly but I lack a lot of resources and offerings so I try to work with what I have. I was worried I’d need to get more candles but I don’t! I have plenty of green tea lights for my money spells ❤️ glad I’m able to utilize them more.

Not silver ones, she preferes gold. And it's very picky about her offerings and are usually expensive ones. She also loves gold jewelry and perfume.
For crystals it's really perfect, she does love amber and malachite but another's is carnelian, red agate and watermelon quartz.

I was watching one about aphrodite and I thought I wish there was a channel who talked about norse gods/goddesses (me being largely Norwegian) because she didn't. I've practiced for several years but I've never brought in deities for help, I've just left offerings for certain ones. I know a lot about them, just never worked with any. I have worked with freyja for a while and I love her so much. She really is a great protector. I would also recommend gold because her most precious possession was the briggasmen, a necklace that was made from gold by the elves and stolen by Loki.
I do have a question, Aphrodite has been calling to me and I’m just not sure if she would be okay working alongside freyja, vice Versa.
Ask them. We can only give you our experience and opinions. Experiences are going to be (slightly) different

Have you ever worked with any slavic deities? This is my native tradition and I am really thinking about working with one of the gods but most of them seem very belligerent and aggressive
If you are a slavic by blood doesn't mean your are connected with slavic gods. They are actually all about love and connection one thing with another.
I think this is not a very good idea to work with gods you don't like. Also it may be important to make a connection with gods native to area you live in.
If you dislike some gods that may mean your don't want to accept some part of yourself, which is connected with the main principles of this pantheon.
But everything is highly individual)

so question i do have Freyja statue and i did get frigga and freyja mixed up. but once i found out freyja wasn't married to odin and so i did apologized. but i noticed cats was coming on the property. but i thought it was because we lived out on the farm. but i noticed a fluffy grey cat would come into our yard and lay down on our couch and watch the drive way. until my mom would chase it off by accidently spooking it. it didnt bother me because i love animals to be honest and i always welcome animals to my yard like deer other dogs cats and other good animals to feel safe here. so then i got curious on what to name a kitten to get. because i found out you really have to ask the greek gods and goddesses permission to name something after them. Norse is more laid back with things.so i was like i got it ill name it freyja because i always see cats a beautiful creatures so as freyja i see her as loving beautiful goddess that i am actually comfortable with. so im waiting on a cat to get pregnant and ill pick a kitten out and name it freyja and so i end up forgetting about it and then ic a grey tiger stripped cat come out of no where and hoped on the horse trough that has dirt in a rubs on it like it would do on a human when its loving on them.. then got down looked at the birds eating and then walked behind the horse trough and it was gone and never came back. now during this time i was stuck between 3 breed of cats black grey and Siamese cats and i had dream about grey cat and then that cat shown up. so i am guessing freyja end up picking for me which one i should pick. but also i follow Hera and Athena. but them 2 came together. long story short they saved me from car accident. i am actually bonded with hera to be honest and athena is like a best friend to me and so is Artemis. thanks for the help to give me ideas for freyja i really didnt have much help how to do things with pagans or following nature. its actually waaaaay better then being Christian. thanks again.

I can, but descendant is more of a thing you find out as time goes on. Ultimately it just shows how how close you really are with that deity, as if they choose you and so on! But I can make a video!

He will wait until you're ready, he'd much rather you gain your energy before working with him rather than rush I can promise you that, so take your time 😊

I have been seeking cats in the damnedst places. I work outdoors so I will see cats on occasion. I saw one last week. There was a bush in the parking lot at the bar I go to on occasion. I saw a cat as I was leaving. I looked over and split second. It was gone. So I decided to start working with her bc my personal life is such a shit show. This video is a good starting point. The Gods are inherently worthy of worship by Their very nature. If you want to worship Freyja then do it. You don't need permission.
What if I'm seeing a golden boar in meditation?
Boars are sacred to both Freyja and Her brother Freyr though Freyr in particular is said to ride a golden boar

Hello! Would it be disrespectful to worship Freya and Aphrodite at the same time?
If you work with one already, take the time to ask if that deity would be okay to work with the other. On another note as well, if your deity you work with is okay with it, make sure you contact the other one as well to make sure they are okay too. This is the best and easiest way to avoid any kind of scuffle between deities!

There are cats rushing to me at a park and I keep giving them food. Many times, I wanted to work with her but heard that she's goddess of death, so got scared. 13 is her number and death card in tarot shows death too. Is she gentle to work with as I need to work with my fertility. She's pulling chariot by 2 cats which is cancer card chariot in tarot. I am a rising cancer.

Freyja and Frigg are not the same due to Christians trying to Erase deities of different cultures like I've commented about the Sagas and Eddas being rewritten and basterdized. In addition Christians have implemented deities that aren't even real just to make the Sagas and Eddas more basterdized for example Freyja's supposed husband that Odin tricked him into doing stupid stuff because supposedly Odin wanted Freyja for himself... it's honestly giving high school drama not to mention they say Freyja basically has to obey everything Odin says which is an absolute hell no, another one is they gave Freyja a husband because she is a bad ass and they wanted to make sure that a male owned her and she couldn't be an independent Goddess. Frigg is wife of Odin also no one controls Freyja nor any man and I really hate the part of her sleeping with everything with a pulse like sexism Christians really any other deity especially male representing doesn't get this kind of treatment neither roles should get this kind of treatment.
