What a lovely couple , I could listen to them all day!, there passion & knowledge is infectious. They had some very interesting ideas on how to go boating. The upgrades made to the the whole Fairline is just stunning. I’m looking forward to you meeting up again & maybe another mini series next year?, should be interesting!. Well now, bigger is not always better. I’m certain that I do not ever want a boat that needs a skipper and crew even if I can afford it. These guys have worked out a system that keeps them out of trouble which is absolutely brilliant. I have learned so much from your channeling Nick. I really like these meet the owner episodes.
Done up in 4 weeks. She looks absolutely amazing. They certainly do seem to enjoy the boat life.
Yes, it really speaks to a focused and organised effort that they could pull off such a refit in that time. One would imagine, given the owner, that all the under the skin elements were already in good order when he took ownership of the craft.

Really enjoyed this superb meet the owner episode, great to hear others talk about having sensible fun and just being honest with yourself as to what you want Vs what is realistically achievable. The boat is absolutely gorgeous too.

They did a great job redoing the boat. Many small changes made this yacht look bright, happy, and luxurious. They have great taste with those subtle and classy modifications. Their boating story is just amazing aswell.

Passion for boating shines through. Great episode. Seatag done a fabulous job - I sense, with a large amount of design input from the owners. Really interesting to hear that personal boating adventures trump a crewed yacht.

The transformation of the boat is phenomenal! They achieved super yacht standards. I love these meet the owner sessions. It's great to hear from them about their boats, their boating passion, how they got there... the lot, all in their own words. These folks are so passionate about the boat, it’s clear in the conversation. Felt out of my league when you were discussing matching upholstery in the lower cabin walls vs. cockpit seating. I’d be like, “eh…I can fit a full case of beer in the fridge, which is quite nice. Pulling that sort of magic together in three weeks time.” 😉

Great to listen to a couple living their dreams on the water. What a wonderful interview. Very generous of the owners to share their journey from the ups to the downs of buying boats! Very interesting and I'm betting he has a few more tales to tell! Sensible people making sensible choices with the water at the centre of their enjoyment! On any budget, just pick your boat, and start living the dream!

Brilliant episode Nick,thanks for that. What a great couple. They're spot on saying everyone has a budget,doesn't matter if it's £1k or£ 1m so long as you enjoy being on the water,that's what counts. I agree with the rib as well,we used to have a 4m Humber for pottering round the docks,only got rid of it earlier this year,kind of regretting it now,was great to take out in winter rather than the main boat. What a great quote as well " better to have memories than dreams" ,having said that though,without the dream of having a boat I wouldn't have the memories I have now. All good either way I say.
