  • We went down to Houston Texas to drop off the LSXcalade's Dart block 427 engine at Late Model Engines (LME)! These guys are literally the KINGS of high end LS/LT engine builds these days. High horsepower boosted applications meant for heavy street use is what they do best and its what we use the Escalade for...so we are in the right place! Bryan Neelen the owner / founder of LME explains in detail exactly what is going on with the engine as we tear the engine apart. Diagnose potential issues and establish a general knowledge of how the engine was feeling about life prior to the tear down.
Buckle up because you are gonna learn some EXTREMELY useful information here when it comes to LS engine building and high horsepower applications!!

I spent the day at a local engine shop that builds the engines in almost every pulling truck and a lot of the drag racing cars in my area. I also spent the day at a shop that builds pulling tractors. There’s so much knowledge that you can soak in from places like this. If you ever have a chance to go check out an engine building shop, definitely make time to go there

This is why I loyally stand behind companies that started with a grassroots beginning. I think your overall mindset for functionality as a business is more efficient and successful when your working with limited funds (as backwards as this may sound). I've seen a lot of businesses rise and fall because although they had a big lender, no amount of money can make up for pitiful gameplan.
In my opinion, if you're chasing horsepower, you're always going to get a better result when your primary motivation is knowledge- not money. Listening to this guy, you can tell he has studied these engines to a degree that takes a certain willpower most don't have.
Also, the merch is super comfortable. Thanks for not selling me a Dollar General turd pile of a shirt.
