    Dart has the best blocks. I just built a 509 blower motor for my boat and used their Big M block and Big M heads. Im glad to see them making LS stuff now.

    So crazy that you posted this. I just decided to sell my 416 LS3 stroker short block so I could get a dart block and build a max effort 427. I think I’m going to use your 1200 hp guts in it.

    If I were single I would marry that camshaft 😁 That is the first forged cam that I have seen. I never knew there was such a thing! I thought billet was as far as it went.

    Love it, just wish I wasn't so cheap, those blocks, or hell completed long blocks, are worth more than my cars :) hahaha

    I have an L92. Wondering what is needed to make it a 427. Just your crank?

    Do you ever show a dyno test after your builds to show exact HP and torque from the engine

  • @llvick23

    I’d like to see you do a crank trigger / distributor Ls build

    What kind of power this setup make with Holley or Edelbrock EFI? Have 90’ Bronco w/302. Debating stroking to 331/347 or LS.

    Not shiming the oil pump before torquing it down?

      It’s a wonder it didn’t blow up while he was turning it over with the ratchet honestly

      Only asking because I learned to do it here. I'm not trying to be THAT guy on the internet, I just noticed it that's all.

    Isnt hat block pretty much the same as the LT1\L86 stock engine block? +/- the obvious ?

    I see a lot of people recommend soaking lifters in oil for a while before installation, but here you just put some assembly lube on them and installed them. Can you explain whoch practice is best and is it a difference of which lifters are being used? thanks

    • @JacobVillemain
      @JacobVillemain  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Modern lifters are all pressure checked by the manufactures, so they are already full of oil & primed.
      Back in the day before this procedure was standard practice, it was recommended to soak overnight.

      @JacobVillemain while i agree with you, I'd still soak the rollers. But hey, you have a procedure and it hasn't failed you yet

    I'd like to see a 4 or 500 whp engine build that's DRIFT capable on limiter. These single pull Johnnie's are not that impressive for occasional street drag use. Build something that someone can put together in the 400hp range and live for more than 2 seasons now that would be sick. ESPECIALLY if it was 500NA. Please and thank you 😂

    • @imaracecar466
      @imaracecar466 ปีที่แล้ว

      We have very similar 416 LS combinations in drift cars going multiple seasons at around 550 whp. We did a video on it several months back, check it out! On this channel

    So we know that a certain individual on youtube who does tons of dyno stuff has run stock blocks and sbe ends up to 1500 hp. Im having a hard time understanding how a stock block and Dart's blocks which are superior in every imaginable way be rated only for 1500 hp? Them numbers dont jive qnd i understand Dart has to have a disclaimer but surly given oem vs Dart (and their extensive and well funded and professional engineers), Dart blocks should be at least a comfortable 2000 hp given proper crank, rods, pistons blah blah blah (but then again that certain individual ran that ls sbe over 100 pretty significant dyno pulls and pusnished it along with almost 30 psi and it gave the ghost up then.

      1800-2000 on shp. 2800-3000 on shp pro depending on regular main studs or Ford Cleveland main studs and 1/2 inch head studs
