    Man, I still can't believe how rust free your falcon is! That cowl!

    I did the same thing to my 64 fairlane back in 91-92 to make a thunderbolt had some people cryed also. Its your car & your building it. Nice watching progress,i know it takes time. Jim Ohio

      Thank you Jim, it was moving along pretty nicely then had to switch to day shift and it has slowed me down. I also have been slowed down by making the tunnel. A new video is coming! I just need to piece together what footage I have and get one up. I did a fair amount of work without filming just to get done !

    Sorry to hear about your illness, a lot of it going around! Hopefully you'll be feeling better soon. Best of luck with the Falcon build, you keep up the videos & I'll keep watching!

      Yep, don’t take too much out, these cars rely heavily on the unibody to make them strong. I’m going to have the front down bars tie the strut towers in

    Excellent content! Exactly what I was looking for. Having a 460 ci Big Block in my 67 Mustang, I have have little to no room with the headers on. 2&3 5&6 spark plugs so hard to get out or dropping the headers down to remove the heads.This fab might just be my ticket! Really appreciate you sharing this video with us! Thanks, and cheers from Motown/Dearborn!

    Loved the video ! Can’t wait for the updates on your progress. This is exactly what I wanted to do on my Maverick. Except I was wanting to do 1 extra mod that would put it where I wanted. I hope you get fully well and kick that Covid’s ass .

      I believe Matt is going to have a kit for Maverick’s. They’re nice units! And thanks, hoping to get my smell and taste back. That’s the part I hate!

      @@TeamDPerformance When you say Matt, what company are you referring to ? Is it A.J.E. ? Or another company ? Just curious . Btw, go to your local health food store and get some black seed oil. Nasty tasting stuff , but it will knock that covid crap on it’s ass . Thanks for the videos on the Falcon ! Keep’em coming !

    I know you're going to do everything you want, but is that cone to support the entire weight of the springs? Structural design? minute 2:10

    • @TeamDPerformance
      @TeamDPerformance  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I believe in a later video I talk about that piece, I put it back in as the entire front end of these cars are the uni body unlike say a fox where you can loose a lot of metal and not affect the uni body as much. When it gets a cage there will be bars brought into the engine bay that will help strengthen it

  • @muzzasmsmadness1081
    @muzzasmsmadness1081 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    By how much did the strut towers bow inwards because they were not braced before their strength was removed ???

    • @TeamDPerformance
      @TeamDPerformance  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’d say 3/16 of an inch or so. They’ll tie those onto the cage when the cage is done. Then they won’t move anywhere

    • @muzzasmsmadness1081
      @muzzasmsmadness1081 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TeamDPerformance Thanks for that I have a 64 4 door that I will be doing the same to to fit an IFS so that's useful knowledge

    • @TeamDPerformance
      @TeamDPerformance  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fairlane is probably a bit stiffer than the falcon. If you’re going to put bars up front no worries. You could also do some thicker metal when you weld that back in. I think I used 14 gauge.

    • @muzzasmsmadness1081
      @muzzasmsmadness1081 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TeamDPerformance I'll be replacing the cut out metal with a pre made kit
      so it shout be plenty stiff enough. Was just curious if there was enough flex to warrant bracing before cutting. But it seems fine. Will also be adding a srut top to firewall brace so it should all square back up just fine

    The smell and taste thing is incredibly weird. I had the Delta variant and I couldn't taste anything but onions, which tasted like rubbing alcohol. 🤷‍♂️
