    That's a great tip. I have a kastar battery like that for the JVC LS300. Never thought to buy the NP version. Much more useful that way.

      Yeah, it has helped me in a pinch and now it is my goto setup. I never got around to getting a second battery for the a6400 and now I don't need to.

      Awesome Bro! You will not regret it. I'm loving the long battery life on it. I guess I need to just set it for record and see how long it actually last me.

    My a6400 doesn’t work for more than 30 min. Just shutoff while recording after 15 min. Idk what to do at this point i make reaction content and this camera is like a camera from hell. I have a dummy battery from Amazon because i was told it would help but it lasts less than the original battery it came with. Idek what to do anymore. My camera keeps overheating

      I'm sure I'm too late in response to your question. I had no idea you sent this to me and I'm sorry I'm just now getting it. The comment notification system obviously sucks and I'm now monitoring comments more closely. Have you gotten a new camera or do you still have the a6400? Go to the camera Menu => Select Setup => Select Auto Power Off Temp => Set option to High

    hi and again thank you very much for this solution !! It's awesome !! I have a question? i also shoot with sony a6400, would the monitor work if i shoot in 4k? I shoot a lot in HD 120 fps, does the monitor work? thank you very much for your answer. friendly

      If you are referring to External Monitor over HDMI, Yes Sir monitor works when filming 4K. But during playback and Menu diving the LCD Screen goes black when External Monitor is connected over HDMI. The Camera defaults to viewing on External Monitor in this case.

    Out of curiousity, what picture profile do you shoot with on your Sony Alpha camera? I have started shooting in HLG3 and I'm surprised how well the a6400 footage handles it.

      I used HLG3 for run and gun but for serious projects i go with slog2 only

      @@VidHeadz sure bro, would love to do that. Right now i Have lots of hlg3 and slog2 files shot with sony a7iii. I make my own looks according to the color theory and requirement of the shot, emotions etc but would love to test your luts as well. Tbh i use luts very less, its like 1 out of 100 times..

    8 times means it would last more than 3 hours?

    • @VidHeadz
      @VidHeadz  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! I shot a Virtual graduation last year and used this setup and shot for 2 and a half hours and had my camera battery still fully charged and about 30 to 50% left on the Kastar Battery. It will pretty much last all day shoots.

  • @liquaard2824
    @liquaard2824 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    so will it continuesly charge while shooting ? is it charging via usb ?

    • @VidHeadz
      @VidHeadz  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it will continually charge while the USB is plugged in to the camera and the that battery 🔋. Even if the camera is off. With the castar battery I notice that if I hit the button to see the power indicator it also turns on USB power. I have about 8 of these batteries as I use them for all sort of things and the industry standard as of today for battery is the Sony L series for most products including external monitors.

    • @liquaard2824

      @@VidHeadz If i buy one of these batteries , how long will it last with exact same setup ?

    • @VidHeadz
      @VidHeadz  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@liquaard2824 I don't know exactly because I have not shot with it until the battery has died. But realistically it will give you 5 plus hours. If your camera battery is fully charged the math would suggest 7 hours keeping mind the monitor consumption. The monitor has a very low power consumption.
