All unicorn foals have golden coats. However an adult gold unicorn is very rare.

the first unicorn i saw was gold i and has the little sparkle logo next to the gender and i was confused and thought they all were gold lol

I just learned the sparkle symbol next to the gender means it's shiny 🤣 I'm ashamed cause I love pokemon... found a shiny Niffler not to long ago glad I didn't sell him

My first breed of unicorns were a golden one, even tho both parents were normal white onces.

In the books, all young unicorns are gold, then turn silver after several years, before turning white as full grown adults

There is a trick where you change from day to night or night to day, save the game and load that save file. Than everything should have respawned. Never tried it though.

Nope, just have to keep trying untill you find one. Best thing you can do is also breed two unicorns together hoping a golden one will come out
