4:25 Is that upper mount cracked off the diff housing? Or is that just light colored dirt around the weld? It looks like fresh metal like the weld split. This thing is a mess 🤣
Hey man, awesome video. I got a quick question I've got a stock axled XJ on a 4.5 in rough country lift, has those crappy lower control arms. I threw a transfer case drop in and now my front drive shaft is almost exactly like the one here. It's got about a 1/4 in of play, put it this way to remove the front drive shaft, I have to take the caps off the u joint or I can't drop it. Is that too close? It wasn't like this before the T case drop. I assume a worn trans mount and the axle being too far back are the cause? I bought adjustable uppers cause mine are shot. Should I grab a set of adjustable lowers as well?
Hackjobs like that make xjs look bad. I'd toss in a 231 with an sye, throw an antiwrap on it, and build a 3 link instead of that radius arm garbage. A better tcase would really benefit it but on a budget you could get by with a 231 for now.
Everybody screaming HEEP when they see angry eyes, but it's these half ass hack jobs that really embody the Heep for me. My fav was the 242>>HNT>>Front shaft in the rear>>1ton on blocks transition LOL. Good on the owner for looking to get this sorted, by the looks of it it's in good hands. Looks like the PO did some wiring under the hood too, this would make me nervous seeing what we've seen ha!
Absolutely! We are gunna go through the whole thing in the engine bay too since it seems like everything that was touched wasn't put back together correctly
It can do everything something with a 60 can do and has better ground clearance so idk what you are talking about lol and can go 90 down the highway no problem unlike this thing that could barely drive off the trailer
Hell ya man that’s awesome of you guys to take your time to help him on his Jeep thank you for the Huntington hope your channel continues to grow

No its just mud lol thank god
Awesome idea to film this process! Just finished swapping both axles again this should give me a good list of shit to check before wheeling on them
Nothing like a little zeppelin 🎶
Great Video!! Where are you guys located?
Northern New Jersey
How would I go about lifting a one ton swapped cherokee?
Depends on how the suspension is setup
What coil springs were used in this build?
Yessssss, thank you!
No problem! It's great content !

You definitely need new uppers. Also you probably need a new front ds that is shorter
I am getting a set of super duty axles myself, what size tires does this Jeep have?
37s
Dang that looks like it was way to rushed when put together.
What axels are those?
Super duty axles
now i still have more video to go but wanted to say the 242 is a bitch to get out. it has 2-3 extra bolts and not easy to remove.
No its not fun its bigger too
Do you guys do one ton swaps as a shop? Really want mine done but not many places in maine even do it
Yep we do
@@Grewsum2Sum I've seen you in the xj groups but what's the best way to contact you
Fb or you can message us on Instagram
What front bumper is that?
No idea lol
No worries, thanks for the reply.
I've personally never seen a hack n tap fail especially with proper angles it's not necessarily a week point
Look at a stock output shaft compared to a true sye output shaft it will help change your mind 😉
Yeah I stand behind the hack n tap👌
who are the engine/trans mounts from?
Db metalworks

Wow that looks like it can be a good jeep but they cheaped out on a lot
