They have a family and they make it a point to be in their child's life. 2) We are not monolithic. Most people have traits of an leader and a nice person. Life is a gray area. Some men are quiet, some men are more aggressive. We need to stop putting people in a box. 3)What's success? Money isn't everything. Being dominant and conquering people isn't the meaning of life. There is someone out there for everyone. I've seen plenty of nice guys with women and in happy relationships. To me there are holes in this logic. People don't let others put you in a box. I know this was a year ago but Phil is telling the truth. He was giving techincal definitions to these three types of males. Sure there are exceptions to everything but the basics of what he said was correctt. A lot of women want a man to be assertive. Assertiveness doesn't mean aggressiveness or even abusivness. They just want a man to have boundaries and self respect. You can be a quiet spirited man but still carry a sense of pride about yourself. Simply put, a women doesn't want a wimp as a partner.

Go back to your question you clearly asked is" if it's your fault that your son is strung on drugs and a gang member" you never asked if it's your sons fathers fault so I can only answer your question in a way that refurs to you, again you asked was it your fault which I clearly stated "it's not all your fault" as it takes two in any situation when it comes to a child not to mention your son if he's on drugs and a gang member then it's safe to assume he's grown and can make his own decisions, now unless your were raped then that's a different scenario but you weren't you chose you son's father which obviously wasn't the best choice for you in helping you raise your kids you have to take some responsibility in that and pass what you've learn as a single mother to younger black women so they hopefully won't wind up with the same issues that you have currently that's why I said it's important to plan your future i.e when to have kids, careers, homes, ECT ECT if not then this cycle never breaks then there will be just another sister miserable looking to point fingers at black men and wonder why most are going outside their race
