No. Because in astrology at least there's an objective way of stating which traits you (allegedly) have, whereas this is based on self-assessment. It was hard to think of something less reliable than astrology, but these people might have accomplished it.
What people tend to misunderstood is we all have certain percentage of Alpha, Beta, Delta, Omega, Gamma, Sigma and Zeta in us rather than in 100%. These classifications are usually framed by society or third-party on us depending on our presentation and public appearance BASED on their perspective. That perspective have nothing to do what you actually are and how u live. I'm mostly a Sigma, but i also do have Beta, Alpha, Delta even Zeta traits in me. Depending on situation and circumstances and which of these that took control. It's just how the brain works.
I think you have a few seeds of truth but don't understand sigmas adapt and with a deep thinking and observational skills can use traits of other personalities to a goal. It's not that they fake the others - it's that they can, yet a key difference is they are not in their core. All others cannot quite pull it off when sigmas can. And, many people who don't quite fit mistake societal rejection for the preference of isolation. It's similar to one who chooses celibacy vs involuntary celibacy. They can look similar but are very different. It may be that a beta is simply trying to people please and fails and as a result - spends more time alone. Convincing themselves they are sigmas to avoid the reality of failing to please. Sour grapes if you will. You cannot be both alpha and beta, full stop. Those two are mutually exclusive. Alphas are more likely to be narcissistic (which persuasion is common) and a bit of a bully. It's masculine. Betas are more insecure relying on avoiding conflict. They are most likely to simp. It's feminine. These two do not intersect.
I noticed the same thing. He only mentioned the strengths. I would have liked to hear some of the weaknesses too. I do agree that focusing on the positive is healthy but going through life with rose colored glasses is not healthy. It is nice to know the common flaws of each for self improvement through better knowing of one's self. I think I could be several different types. In fact, I think a person can change from one category to another over time, based on life. How many successes, failures, and trials in your life that can either damage one's personality or improve it through adversity and hard work or accepting failure. Perhaps a very young bata becomes Alfa or Sigma later in life because time really does change one's perspective of life. That also changes what is important to them later in life. Maybe your failures were hidden blessings and your then successes were hollow egotistical dressings of pride masked as improvement when it was only vain glory.
I'm Definitely a Zeta male personality type, a bit of a shit disturber, very resourceful, extremely driven, but typically will not follow the rules and guidelines of society, will fight for the truth, and has little interest in drama or the opinion of others. Confident, but at the same time reflects strongly on any personal incompetence with an overarching determination to change.
Shortly before I found this, I took an online quiz that concluded I'm a Gamma...No...WAY! Per your comparison of characteristics, Delta...definitely, with maybe one or two aspects of Beta &/or Sigma Excellent video, thank you!

@@avocadopeep724 It allows more opportunities. Did you know 80% of California is homeless or altruistic? (They rely on help to survive) Imagine being homeless with no options, no one wants to date that person. California makes up 27% of the homeless population in the entire country. In this state about 80% of people don’t own a home. So you have just 3 options when your this poor that make up the personalities at the bottom, just get a job, go to school, rebel and become aggressive to get a girlfriend. That’s how I see it because those are really the only options in this situation. Once a person finally feels “secure” they can mature into something else. They would have the power to change others and that’s when the other 4 personalities come into play.
I never gave it any thought what personality type I am, With all the TH-cam clips on personality types I've seen I identify most with sigma male characteristics. Clips like yours is an ideal review for woman what they want from a partner. Keep up the good work
I don't think anyone has the exact traits of one single personality. I think you can find yourself having a majority of a particular personality. I think the biggest outside factor to a person's personality makeup is their life experience.
I admit that my view of the whole alpha, beta, and whatever other Greek letters used for this personality test is one of extreme skepticism. Correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t this have its genesis in a scientific study into the hierarchy of wolf packs? Isn’t it also true that this was never meant to be applied to humans *and* that the man who wrote it later repudiated it telling others he was wrong and not to use it? Just curious. Polite answers would be appreciated. Just seems to me that the Meyers-Briggs personality test is one that actually has some scientific merit. INFP here btw
Interesting. I had never heard that before but will definitely check it out. It was a topic suggestion that came about because of men being labeled. i wanted to make sure that there was no bias or preferences toward any type but more importantly just outlining the positives or characteristics of each. We are a wide spectrum and all appreciated :)
Also the study done on wolf pack hierarchy was conducted on captive stressed wolves, so it doesn't really relate to wolves in the wild. Wild wolf packs are based on a family unit, wolves mate for life and parent their children well into adulthood.
@@mattalley4330 you are absolutely correct about the origins of the ABΩ scientific origins. I agree with what you're saying where personality tests are concerned. In my opinion, this is definitely not a good way to get a comprehensive understanding of somebody's personality. I think it has validity (or at least enough of an echo of validity) as a starting point to discovering and identifying more about human cognition regarding the styles (Greek letters) in which males: process & interpret their sensory input; decipher + construct language patterns; perceive complex abstractions; and subconsciously express & interpret subtle communication (kinesics, microexpressions, pheromones, human biofields, etc). Primarily though, what I'm hoping will come from this attention to the concept of evolutionary personality types is medical/academic research into connections & correlations among: primal instincts (gut feelings, proxemics, kinesics, pheromones, subconscious sensory interpretation, etc); male hierarchical interpersonal psychology (primitive-prosocial roles, behaviors, attitudes, gestures + conveyance); a potential polarized typication system for "types" of cognition (collective heavy correlations in fluid intelligence, neuronet plasticity, cognitive structure, cognitive prioritization, metacognition & the logistical structures of: base ideations, conceptual formation, sensory integration, neurolinguistics, neurosemiotics, etc.)
I am a bit puzzled about how you described a Sigma's loyalty But hey.... you did a better job then most who focus so much on SUCCES and GREATNESS. So thanks for keeping it real.
To Dad University - I really appreciate your videos and how well you convey the material in a concise and powerful manner. Serious kudos to your talents and efforts!
Zeta personalities do not exist. The only personality that he is talking about is that of a sigma. Sigmas do come in subclasses. There are the regular sigmas, the empaths and, the heyokas. All sigmas have psychic abilities, the heyokas are the ones with the strongest powers.
This is exactly my observation. I'm a mix of those 4, Omega, Zeta, Sigma, Delta. I always get about 7 or 8 of the most common traits of each when you a watch a specific video on each.
Interesting to hear about seven types. I really think the descriptions to be too short for anyone to make a firm diagnosis. However based on other much longer and descriptive TH-cam pieces I have identified myself as a Sigma male.
It's all much more involved though. Has anyone seen an in-depth video of personality aspects and how they relate? Alpha/Beta/etc. classification WITH Meyers-Briggs type indicator WITH Type-A/Type-B/etc. personality.
First of all, to put so much information in such a concise manner, in such a small time frame, is outstanding. I believe a well rounded person would have or use to perfection these traits that make their lives meaningful, while reaching their goals. I knew of some of the personality traits from my college days and recognized that my life story connected with the Sigma male trait based on many of my life choices. The more I learned about the Sigma male trait, the more I identified with it. Nevertheless a well rounded individual does not limit themselves to just one definition. An example of this is if you come against me with a stick and I have a club, you better believe I'm going to approach that conflict Alpha male. It's like when I became Sergeant in the Army. If I come against you with a club and find out you have a gun. Rest assured, my response to you is going to be Beta, with me saying something like, "Excuse me, the guy you are waiting for says he'll be here shortly, hang tight, I'll go get him. If I don't return, I've remained in Beta mode; Like a private in the Army. If I return with a high impact rocket launcher; you better believe you are encountering a Sigma male about to respond pure Alpha. The sigma male type is the kind of male that knows how to tell the Captain, "You are an idiot----Sir!!!" and leave such encounters unscathed. I like the way you presented this video. 😎
Though I fit the omega description closer than any of the types mentioned; I find the Big 5 or even the Myers-Briggs more descriptive and self illuminating . However, if you needed a quick surface level way to characterize men these Greek descriptions could work.
Delta Sigma Gamma. 50/50 introvert extrovert. Deep thinking, perfectionist resolved to seeking excellence instead, practical, and understanding of lifestyle and the consequences of those decisions. Mud. Hard and dry, soft and moldable, or sticking to the details to gain understanding.
Zeta for sure. Extremely physically capable, find myself in leadership but don’t really want to be. Tend to not care about social class or norms. More concerned with knowing as much as I can in order to make good decisions.
Omega for sure. Inventor type. Very self aware and sure of myself but not in an overly egotistical way. I am an "advocate" who enjoys supporting others but, at the same time? I am very introverted and have little need for public recognition other than from those close to me whom I love and respect. 💞💪🤓
I think there is a major difference between a sociopathic(and/or psychopathic, and/or narcissistic) male and a morally healthy male regardless of what the 7 male personality types are.
A pretty simple cursory description of each. I am impressed the sigma was included. They are rare, so much so they are overlooked or absorbed in other personality types.
As a Meyers-Briggs INxP I don't think I fit into any of these categories. In fact, I've seen videos that suggest an INxP cannot exist. The way all of these types pursue their goals pretty well counts me out because goal-setting has been a real problem for me.
Let's rethink the alpha/sigma male idea. Human personalities are complex, and success in roles like the military or sports teams requires a mix of traits beyond just being a leader, independent, and dominant. It's about teamwork, discipline, loyalty, empathy, and adaptability. True strength comes from balance and flexibility. Let's focus on personal growth beyond fitting into narrow labels.
I think this concept could be anything from fun conversation to a realistic potential for a medical / psychological paradigm. I think academic research on the subject would be interesting, because I bet there is some truth in this (or adjacent to it) and I would not discredit this conceptual model without multiple studies doing so in a convincing and effective manner. It isn't fair to compare it to astrology because these traits are measurable, definable, specific and insofar, straightforward (unlike the plethora of confusing details and mitigating factors in astrology like Mercury Retrograde, Rising Signs, Moon Signs, Planetary Signs & all of the geometric analyses among all of the above).
Huh... I never really thought of myself as an omega. But after listening to the strengths of each one, and even the particular interests that each one partakes in, I think its safe to say I line up with the omega type 🤔😊
"The real alpha males doesn't try to be an alpha he just is" is like saying that you have all of your karate moves from the book, so you can defend anytime.
I am Gamma male I believe having good time when I travel no matter how close or far it is . I over to enjoy life what ever I can be Plus my home life as many things I Like to do at home inside and outside.
Let me explain it this way: A trait or characteristic is like the weather, day by day, year in and year out, it can change from one moment to the next. One moment, you could be down in the dumps with depression, and the next moment, you can be happy as can be. A personality, on the other hand, is like climate. It is here to stay. If you are born to be an introvert, no matter what happens in life, you will always remain as an introvert. Sure, once in a while, you may be an extrovert when the situation calls for it, but it won't last long before you slip back to being an introvert. Do you understand the difference?
Interesting I didn't know there were seven personality types for one thing but based on the information he just gave I say I fit somewhere in the Delta range
I'm Omega when people don't want me but when shit hits the fan, they want me to become Alpha because they don't want to hold responsibility but wants to take credit as a part of my team.
I'm sure am a sigma male.Taking risks and breaking rules inorder to create another is definitely me.Thinking not just outside, but beyond the box inorder to achieve a new thing in life, not just for us, but for everyone else.Sadly, people mistake us,for being silent as weak, shy or afraid. It is because, the only people we can trust ,is ourself or Lord . Silently and patiently alone, only when the time and tide is right to strike.🤫🔥✊
I'm 55 and just found out that I'm a Sigma. I could never relate to Alpha or Beta, and I'm just now finding out that there's 5 others. At every job I've held, including a law enforcement career, I've declined every time I've been asked by a supervisor to apply to become a lieutenant. I knew that I could lead. They wanted me to lead, but I didn't want the headache. I live alone, I was in heaven during the lockdown. I was praying for another lockdown, while most had cabin fever. I'm a writer, so I'm proud to say Sigma all day!
I thoroughly enjoyed your comment. 51 years old. Retired law enforcement. Combat firearms instructor, police defensive tactics instructor, all that shit… never wanted to work in a city. Always worked on reserves, in the mountains, in the bush. Could give a shit about promotion and constantly asked to do so… i don’t want to manage people, I wanted to rid the world of evil one piece of shit at a time. Lockdown was fucking heaven. Me. My dogs. The bush. Skiing. Not sure what the hell I am but it made me think. This stuff is infinitely nuanced and there are no absolutes. Thanks for taking the time to write… it inspired me to share.
Most people have an idea who they are and where they would fall on this chart. If you really want to know, ask your wife. Ask your best friend. They know you better than you do. When you tell them your a Sigma and they laugh, there is a reason for that.
In my case ,I can look at my past, and now see how I've spent my time.what I enjoy in life what makes me get up in the morning,I've had a interesting life. I don't feel need to get on the rooftops and give people details. When you're sitting in the mornings drinking your coffee you can think about it.. Then plan on what's next work on that. I think people how they spend their free time has a lot to do with who they are. Just my opinion
@lawrencehammersley4945 I was able to see your deleted reply thru email notifications, no worries brother. Yeah I discovered Zeta about a few mouths ago, so I wasn't sure were I was as a male type but like it was said before that we all change over our lives
I'm a lone wolf, so probably I'm a Sigma Male, but I have some characteristics of a Omega and Delta Male too, some kind of fusion of these three types.
All types have similar traits. But each type has its own Preference in what they want to prioritize the most, each type have something to bring to the table, Each type has it own strong points, I see no Difference between zeta and Sigma, they both live outside Conventional society’s box And both are creative
Sigma. Even when I try to stay away, Betas try to see if ill Alpha them. Then the Alphas come around, assuming I'm a Beta, because I didn't Alpha the other Betas. This happens everywhere I go. Literally sweet dreams out there.
Human brains are more diverse. There is no way that people can fall exactly into one of these 6 types.Fictional characters can fall under one of these 6 type but they are fictional not real life. Most of us have traits that is a mixture of these types or even traits thats not mentioned in these types. Plus people behaves differently in different social situations. Ure personality is unique and rarely you can find a clone of ureself. These personality typings are pseudo science.
I see pretty much every one of these personality types in myself...except alpha. I'm pretty far from being an alpha, and really, I'm happy about that. By the way, where is the discussion of the various personality types for women?
Other explanations say sigma is what you described to be an omega. Also what im yet to find is wether or not there is possibility of a crossover effect. Where 2 archetypes partially converge and certain traits are shared creating a hybrid. I believe that noone is absolutely a single archetype. Humans are to complex. - Sigma/Beta
True, I lost everything and where I am from being white alone means minority (~6% [aggregate value using various sources) of the population and my wife left as result also, so it was brutally to get back on track, changed me, I fall into the Delta classification. Great video seeing how accurate it is in terms of myself. Thanks man. Also besides what you said I am also the kind that have lots of patience but when I reach my limit I will say 'ENOUGH!' firmly and intensely, so much so that if that person persists, he knows that if he continues something bad WILL happen with 100% certainty, some get it, some don't and they made a choice and always regret it (see as a hobby that first started because I was bullied in school I started doing Martial Arts and still, I am 42 so 27 years), I don't like fighting these men since I know how it will end, but I always say what I do and do what I say, no exception.
So some dudes that look Alpha, are actually Beta Males? This explanation blows my mind. I think I know a few Betas…. Some Beta males looks highly confident and sound like it too. 🤔
It is ludicrous to think that anyone fits neatly into one of these categories

I think there is a major difference between a sociopathic(and/or psychopathic, and/or narcissistic) male and a morally healthy male regardless of what the 7 male personality types are.
OMEGAS STAND UP
From the sound of it … omegas canbe considered to be more like zuckerburg bitches
This is just astrology for men.
Why does the thumbnail of this video have viking runes when alpha, beta etc are greek letters?
A pretty simple cursory description of each. I am impressed the sigma was included. They are rare, so much so they are overlooked or absorbed in other personality types.
As a Meyers-Briggs INxP I don't think I fit into any of these categories. In fact, I've seen videos that suggest an INxP cannot exist. The way all of these types pursue their goals pretty well counts me out because goal-setting has been a real problem for me.
I have some traits from all the categories. I guess im an alphabet man 😂
😂😂😂 🍻
Well, it makes sense that someone who doesn't have a dad would end up watching this.
You are not overlooked by our dad in the heavens, he takes count on everything you do; make him proud.

I think you can combine all of these, isn’t that cut and dry.
Omega Here
I think this concept could be anything from fun conversation to a realistic potential for a medical / psychological paradigm.
It’s hard for me to be boxed into just one of these, but I would say I’m mostly Zeta with a hefty dose of Gamma in the mix
Sigma or Delta
Huh... I never really thought of myself as an omega. But after listening to the strengths of each one, and even the particular interests that each one partakes in, I think its safe to say I line up with the omega type 🤔😊
"The real alpha males doesn't try to be an alpha he just is"
is like saying that you have all of your karate moves from the book, so you can defend anytime.
I am Gamma male I believe having good time when I travel no matter how close or far it is . I over to enjoy life what ever I can be Plus my home life as many things I Like to do at home inside and outside.
I am an Omega, I create my world and build what I want when I want and I don't give F about what you think 😉 .
Sigma male real life is outside the box and living life by your own rules long live the lone wolf.
Aaaa you must be an aquarius 😊 based on your zodiac sign..
What do you call the mixture of all 7 types of personality.
Totally fine. These are just types...not everyone has to fit.
Let me explain it this way:
A trait or characteristic is like the weather, day by day, year in and year out, it can change from one moment to the next.

Thank you for the breakdown of the personality types.
Gamma rays are so good for picking up women and dominating betas😊
Interesting I didn't know there were seven personality types for one thing but based on the information he just gave I say I fit somewhere in the Delta range
Was sigma then turned into omega/ delta and some beta after traumatic events
I would say I am an Omega, however, I also share some traits with Sigma, and Zeta
I usually don't but you get a thumbs 👍
What if you find 1 or 2 character types of each in you?
All good. Many people aren't defined by one specifically.
Omega, Delta, Sigma/Zeta for sure!
The guy speaking is delta
@lawrencehammersley4945 I've heard... you are, who you really are, when no one is watching.
@lawrencehammersley4945 I was able to see your deleted reply thru email notifications, no worries brother. I just wanted to give a concise response showing I read what you said, then throw a little "Confucius Say" type thing on it. Not to denigrate or downplay what you were saying. Sounds like you have your house in order. Steadily improving. 👍
@@MikeG.666 your good ,thats why I deleted it. I thought I don't want to spend time o n response, And I'm not real great at English usage.
How can the portrayed personality types be compared to the enneagram
Yeah I discovered Zeta about a few mouths ago, so I wasn't sure were I was as a male type but like it was said before that we all change over our lives
I'm a lone wolf, so probably I'm a Sigma Male, but I have some characteristics of a Omega and Delta Male too, some kind of fusion of these three types.
Is this from a brave new world?
All types have similar traits. But each type has its own
Preference in what they want to prioritize the most, each type have something to bring
to the table, Each type has it
own strong points, I see no
Difference between zeta and
Sigma, they both live outside
Conventional society’s box
And both are creative
What about Epsilons?
It was like watching a documentary on the green lantern universe.
Sigma. Even when I try to stay away, Betas try to see if ill Alpha them. Then the Alphas come around, assuming I'm a Beta, because I didn't Alpha the other Betas. This happens everywhere I go. Literally sweet dreams out there.
Can this be assigned to a liberal or conservative ideology?
Yeah I discovered Zeta about a year ago and it blew my mind, I’m Zeta all the way
Same
Thanks. Great video. I'm definitely a Sigma.
Great video! Best explanation I've heard about the differences.
Zeta and INTP Logician here.
Delta with Calculstiveness and Weaknesses of a Sigma is what I seem to be
I'm hearing a mix in every video for the Gamma, Omega and Sigma 😂
I'm a Alpha Beta male. They had some pretty good sells
Every test I've taken says I'm 75% Omega 25% Alpha.
I don't get it... I'm all of the above....
Yea never heard of zeta till this and didn't know what I fell into. Definitely Zeta.
Can I put myself into ONE of these personalities? I can put myself into ALL of these 😫 GOD why did you
make me so ME!!!!
Omega at the core I guess, then Delta because of, well, life. Some Beta traits and some Gamma phases.
Awesome! Now we have seven
There Are More That You Havent Covered E.G. Omicron (Omega That Is More Omega Than Ever) Or Pi (Can Split In Two)
Also You Talk Slow
I can find traits in my personality that belong to multiple groups.
I have traits from every category. I am Male.
So some dudes that look Alpha, are actually Beta Males? This explanation blows my mind.
I think I know a few Betas….
Some Beta males looks highly confident and sound like it too. 🤔
I'm definitely at the 7th type
I'm a textbook Sigma. The moment I found that out so much made sense, including struggles and things I wanted to change.
I'm a Catherine Zeta Jones Male
