In pairs, bot inventors go head-to-head inside the perilous and bullet-proof BattleBot arena, with the aim of destroying or completely disabling their opponent’s machine.
During each episode, we meet the creators behind these awesome machines. From amateurs and super-smart technology students to seasoned professionals who have dedicated their lives to creating the ultimate fighting robot, find out what drives these charismatic inventors, and how they turn their visions into supreme battling robots.

Bronco might actually be able to afford some decent armor if it wasn't the length of a medium-sized aircraft carrier.
You are aware that size help with the ability to absorb blows? Kinda important when going up against the strongest weapon in Battlebots history

@@incidius_X from rams and hammers, but not heavy spinners, like tombstone and minotaur. small robots get flung away out of the arena, possibly taking collision damage or even face ring-out.

This was my most hyped fight back when I first watched it in AXN years ago. And glad to see that Ray never went for an additional hits in the future. Speaking of Ray, I heard that he won't be the one who's driving Tombstone for Discovery season 7 because he hurt his hand pretty badly. He handled the control to Justin Billings, who controlled The Mortician and controlled Tombstone in the ReMars event
This is confirmed by Ray himself in the skorpios builder blog. It's fine tbh. Justin is pretty good at driving.

I remember watching this when it aired in 2015. My favourite bot was Bronco, so this match was one of my favourites.
Tombstone is by far my favourite robot, and Ray also by far my favourite driver. They took the battle bots concept to it's maximum and always went for giving the audience what we were here for: simple, objective, offensive and utter metal mayhem.
it would be really nice if the end of the fight wasnt revealed in the first 5 Seconds guys ;)

Given the Inertia Labs (the team behind Bronco) seems to have retired the bot and there's no word on them doing anything new, I doubt it's going to happen. Bronco's last appearance was as a "boss" in the 2020 Battlebots Bounty Hunters, it didn't even compete in the main tournament that year.
The biggest danger to Tombstone is normally Tombstone.
Man just imagine an actual Tombstone vs Tombstone bot fight though!!

I want this rematch so bad in a future main event. 2 of my favourite robots to this very day. Very sad that people think they are both too outdated to be effective in the current season. Hope next year will be the return of these 2 king of bots.

@@TeamWhackjob-Official They never confirm retirement. They just announce they will not attend season 6. In fact after the bounty hunters fight with rotator they announce that they are willing to return with a newly built bot which will likely keep the bronco name.

I was watching old robot wars clips and thinking just how ridiculously far robot combat has come between then and now with modern battlebots, but even these two from a few years ago seem quaint already! The most feared spinner and flipper of their time and already kinda obsolete.

Bronco the underdog. He literally soaks in some heavy damage yet that's not enough
sometimes I think most teams focus on making a powerful and deadly weapon but none of them work much on the robot mobility
The weapon itself limits a lot of their mobility . The rotating weapons create a force that influences drivability through a gyroscopic effect

El diseño de Tombstone es tan simple , 2 ruedas , 1 caja y por supuesto UNA HELICE MORTAL CON UN RANGO TREMENDO , la resceta para el éxito xd

Yo creo que el mas simple y eficiente es el de minotaur. A priori parecería que ese cilindro es muy corto y no serviría pero resulta ser recontra eficiente, luego las ruedas están bien protegidas y lo mas importante es que tiene una forma simétrica por lo tanto da igual de que lado caiga siempre queda parado

This show getting to UK version (robot wars) late seasons of destruction, now its just matter of time before arena needs to be improved in protection or face the shrapnel going through the glass into crowds and floor tiles lifting off.
You realise this fight is from 2015 right? Though I will say they did reinforce the floor of the arena a few years agi, but not because of Tombstone...

1:43 Bronco had some trouble self-righting cause I think the front attachment is a bit too heavy, they probably need more gas to have more power

Tombstone needs some better secured bottom/top panels and the internals should also get secured better.

i think thicker armour can cost mobility for Tombstone, and mobility is one of the most important thigs for this bot

Tombstone was always a villain
We talk about how Tombstone got greedy with that final hit on Bronco who was already getting counted out, Bronco's strategy wasn't exactly good. It was terrible strategy at the start of the fight that they backed themselves into the corner, LETTING Tombstone spin up to top speed.
Tombstone is more agile than Bronco. They could have avoided the box rush and got the sides.
Bronco would be a good bot if it didn't have wheels.
Minotaur took care of that, didn't make Bronco a better machine.

Bronco should have been rear wheel drive. The fighting takes place frontally most of the time so the choice to have the driving wheels up front is questionable. On top of that, the flipper seems to get bronco in more trouble than do any good.
