Sawblaze vs Minotaur in WCVII is definitely one of the best fights in the history of Battlebots. Minotaur was cooked, but still gave Sawblaze a run for their money
Watching it for the first time just now and it was unreal

Sawblaze upgrading from a Saw to Hammer-Saw has to be one of the biggest upgrades in BB history. It went from a weapon that did negligible damage to absolutely reck bots in 1-hit.
Yess but the main power of sawblaze is their controls , it's very very good than others.

i think that title goes to huge, because it was a troll-bot that turned into one of the hardest to defeat bots.
they literally made some nonsense, but then they realized that those wheels are actually really durable and then they started upgrading and turned it into top-tier bot.
while Jamison in other hand, has always been very competitive builder and driver. he has won many different series before, including NHRL. he uses common sense to adjust and upgrade as needed.
now they just need to upgrade that hammer saw like how witchdoctor upgraded there weapon

Sawblaze vs HUGE has to be the best title fight of all time, gargantuan hits, nailbitingly close and went right to the final buzzer. What a fight.
6:40 That was some good sportsmanship taking the win and not dismantling the bot for the show.
They all have a gentlman agreement not to do undue damage if the other bot is immobilized, otherwise the costs involved would be astronomical. People weren't happy with the driver of Riptide for breaking that against Captain Shredderator and causing thousands of dollars of excess damages.
Minotaur with its size, it is really a great bot and the driver's skill is superb.
When i first see Huge, i thought its wheel will be tear off in seconds. The design is really original, unique and creative.
huge used to be a troll-bot without a weapon, but they been upgrading a lot.
i think i've seen huge being ripped into pieces only once. think it was carbide?
Huge reminds me of the UK Robotwars bot Gabriel. that starte a bit of a joke but we lost robot wars too early so it didn't get the chance to fully develop in the way Huge has.
i know alot of people hate huge, but i just like that bot, original design and quite strong and hard to take out. gives alot of other bots a challenge on how to take it out

What a beautiful fight in the finale! I did not think Sawblade would survive running into huge that many times. But it was a valid strategy. Awesome!
Calling Sawblaze underdog is a big stretch... It's one of the most powerful bots in the sport for years now and everybody knows Jamison Go is one of the best in the entire field.
(also calling Monsoon "Mondoon" is a funny mistake in the edit).
Minotaur Did Awesome against a Legit cauterbot, I'm honestly impressed till today from that match, both bots did an amazing fight
That finale was the pure definition of fine margins and to think Team Huge were gonna retire the bot at one point.
Jamison Goh is probably the most skilled roboteer of our time, he is amazing!

The fight against HUGE was really sweaty but after their weapons broke down Sawblaze just dominated. For some reason I hear people saying boo but don’t know why?
they are not booing the shout "HUUUUGEE". I love the chant for Huge. At first i thought that they were booing too. But now I love the chants for HUUUUGGEEEE

When I think most unbeatable robot I'm thinking of Razer

Firestorm was always my favourite. Razor was an absolute beast. Hypnodisc was great when it worked.
razer from the old robot wars was great, and it looked fantastic but dont forget that goofy looking pussycat bot beat it twice. I would hate to see razer get shattered across a battlebox by todays modern generation of spinners though
from robot wards the best ones i always think of are: razor (pincer), hypnodisc (spinner), chaos 2 (flipper) honorable mention wheely big cheese
As a European, this is the first robot battle I've seen and gotta admit... Muricans are a different breed.
But it's cool though.
Impressive driving and strategies for each fight! More than well deserved. Being able to beat Minotaur and Huge, two bots with opposite strengths, is epic!

Sawblade is a great design the weapon is no where as powerful as something like Tombstone, but its pikes and engine power gives it great control and main weapon can fix a flip.

Those 2 vertical bots are the Kryptonite of Sawblaze
Huge beat both Witch Doctor and the bot that beat Endgame. Both failed to adapt to bits that countered them while SawBlaze was the only bot the entire season able to do any damage to Huge. Yes Endgame beat SawBlaze in the golden bolt tournament but neither bit took any substantial damage in that battle and just poked at eachother the whole time. A pathetic fight if you ask me. SawBlaze was the only bot this season capable of beating the genius design of Huge, imo a very well deserved win.
With the new upgrade sawblaze has for season 7, they will def beat wd
but still not endgame though, they still have a long way to go

Notice the driving skills and how they held back their main weapon. Going head to head with their own weapon against huge at full power would have cost them. And the derailers did their job.

Brilliant design, with (a) at the front the long pieces with hooks that neutralizes spinners and grabs them to bring them to the sides; (b)the rotating saw as defence at the rear.

At the end of the fight, not sure if Huge was hanging back in that corner defensively because the primary weapon was disabled, or, if Huge lost mobility/control in one wheel. It was clearly moving (rocking), but it did not move anywhere, just passively took hits.
One question, i am new to this word of robotics.
Can i put explosives, military grade missiles and wepons like mini balistics AC on my bot and still be able to fight ?
I got some designs in mind using termite as well.

I feel like that fight with HUGE should have been split instead of unanimous but that just my opinion
Well the fight is still very close, if all 3 juges score 8 over 7 in favor of Sawblaze, it is a unanimous decision despite it being very close. Unanimous doesn't necessarily mean a crushing victory
Well, even when all judges gave a 6 to 5 in favor of Sawblaze, it´s still unanimous, even when all three decided it to be close. I´m more surprised that they didn´t check how the others judged, and changed theirs just to have a more dramatic end^^
Farooq said "unanimous decision" instead of "split decision", is just to make everybody's heart more pounding.. 😁
Pretty sure one of Huge's wheels wasn't turning at the end and it could only drive in circles. Check from 18:44 on.

One thing I always wondered regarding the points, lets take damage as an example, which is worth 5 points, can the judges split those into 2 and 3 for both bots, or do they have to give the full points to one of the contestants?
It can be split between the bots, depending on how much damage each bot recieved, and likewise for control and aggression.
wdym final was close, sawblade was bullying the other one around
The match against Huge is a huge mystery to me. Why didn't they go for the wheels? There's absolutely no way the wheels could take the hammer saw and there were so many opportunities.
I think the Sawblaze's attachment make weapon arm reach become shorter. Besides that, the wheels are too flexible
The wheels are made of a type of floppy plastic that absorbs impacts really well. Also going for the wheels allows huge to spin their huge blade to full speed and turn quickly into their opponent. It's a strategy huge had been using to great success and Jamison Go knew this. He knew the most effective way to beat huge would be to slow the blade to a standstill with an attachment that cd absorb it's impacts and then get in close and attack the body to do some real damage.
Those wheels are from a flexible but very tough material. it has been tried before without success. Huge's weakness lies in the weapon belts. Sawblaze snapped a pair on side and changed Huge's hitting force to win the battle.
