I have a 2013 BMW 128i that when cranked at night with lights switched to automatic, the headlights flicker on/off then I switch to on and it stops. Wondering if this same sensor needs to be replaced. BMW place is saying it’s the switch for the lights
Your How to guides are really appreciated for the first time owner I’m pretty much out of my depth with the stuff you need/have to do repair/replace yourself so you don’t have to get a second mortgage to pay the repair bill… can you please do a video about run flats and normal tyres and what size wheels are able to fit on e60/61 many thanks buddy keep them coming….!!!!
Of course, happy to help! Generally the rule is 520d - 530d is 16inch to 19inch OEM that is. 535d/545i onwards is 17inch as 16s don’t fit over the callipers. In terms of run flats. Changed them on my 335d to standard and it’s a big improvement. Same on my current 530d. The 520d still has them and the ride is very harsh on M Sport suspension.
I have been having battery problems on my 15 x5 35i. I replaced the h8 battery and car was good for a while. My battery died earlier this week (it was snowing that morning) and this morning i also got a discharged battery but it didn't die (we had light flurries this morning). I picked up a Launch creader elite and scanned it just now and got a D90D29 error code, Rain light solar condensation sensor: missing LIN slave. Do you think the RLS sensor is bad and keeping the module awake? I also have 2 instrument cluster codes, E12C32 status brightness of surrounding area invalid & E12C24 signal status driving light invalid transmitter JBE/BDC. Also have 4 ac codes that mention solar sensor. Please help 😢🙏
can you just unplug a fault sensor and use wiper and lights on manual without a EML light coming on? our just failed and drained the battery killing it while light left on auto and car locked :-(
It won’t cause an EML light, it will cause your light switch panel to flash. When you set it to auto lights or auto wipers but yes unplug it and you will see. It will be fine but also double check by putting a multimeter on the fuse box and check for any current draw to confirm.

I have an issue where when I have automatic headlights on my lights flicker but on select on and off works fine would this be a probable cause?
