- You have seen these universal speedos on ebay and amazon. THe gps units are the easiest to install. Often used for boating and motorcycling. They will provide you with gps speed, odometer, trips. The most expensive ones will be digital and give you indicator lights. You can also get non gps speedos which often have more choices and involve putting a magnet on yoru wheel.
I opted to get a 85mm speedo which would fit right into the rebel 250's cluster without much change. Worked like a charm.
get it the speedo here

Awesome video, especially with the vlog on the bike.
Yeah, these little gps speedos look like the way to go.
The rebel 250 is a great little bike so much fun. My gf bought one and I keep riding it. I'm thinking of doing the swap you did here
Great video, i have an old KZ650 hardtail Chopper over here in Scotland, the cable speedo is working ok but is hideously inaccurate (as is the cable driven rev counter), was thinking about one of these, looks very easy to fit and use.
Are the studs 6mm? I’d get 2 6mm couplings and 2 more studs and lengthen those suckers before cut the housing. Maybe even be able to spin the existing studs out the speedo and put in longer ones. Cool bike, great video, thanks for the demo and be safe!👍
Man this looks really good! What camera did you use?? Also awesome DIY!
Thanks man. I have a canon 80d with. 24-105 lens. Good combo for doing videos.
nice choice!
Good job.
I just had my car restored last month and when I saw your video I was very inspired to make improvements to my Rebel250 right now. And Can you tell me the location or the link that sells the speedometer that you made or not? Sorry for my bad English. Thank you.😅
