These TCL tv's are just GREAT. There is dozens of tutorials on here with everything from a blow dryer to warm it up to driving it around and around the block til it wakes up. If none of these 2000 things on here work...pound it with a club until all of it will fit into a dust pan. Remember to tell your friends what a GREAT tv the TCL is....I have a black screen one I am just about to MODIFY slightly.....
Pushing in the reset button with a paper clip for 30 seconds while plugged in did the trick! Black screen is gone. All we had to do was sign in to our paid streaming services. Helping Hermit, of all the TH-cam videos, yours was the only one that worked on our TCL Roku TV.

Update tv took a dump. Your device has failed authentication. Getting a replacement from Amazon. So far tcl seems like absolute shit
