I've played it on Dolphin, it's a really fun game that is much more skill based than the other 3D Mario games but I found the controls a little slippery and I don't like those "Secret of the insert mission location here" because again the way Mario moves in this game, he's a little jittery and you can easily slip off the map by simply moving and the fact that Fludd can't help you makes the secret of the x missions harder. I think they would be much better in Super Mario Galaxy because Mario can simply get air boosts by spinning with would make these stages better but they're pretty annoying in this game.
If this is the Switch version, you forgot to mention one thing- all six languages are available for Sunshine, meaning you have plenty of options in case foreign friends come over. Greek is not one of them sadly, but four other European languages (FIGS) and Japanese are included.
It's also the most frustrating & tedious 3D Mario game as well. Kinda an shame because the game does have potential. But it was really rushed and most content were scrapped.

If you press z on the gcn controller there is a map that will tell you how many blue coins you have in each area. I dont understand why people pretend there is no way to track how many coins you have.
Yeah, but it’s not very useful when it doesn’t tell me which act I need to go to in order to get the blue coins. It telling me I have 29 blue coins in bianco hills isn’t helping me find that last blue coin
Sad rushed development cycle, similar to Wind Waker. I probably don't want "Sunshine 2" but I hope in the future we get another Mario game with an island theme. I think it could actually work well for the first open World Mario. The Sunshine levels are beautiful and each one looks like idyllic paradise while also being distinct.
@@Nicefisher Odyssey kind of is, but it isn’t one large area like the last two Zeldas or Bowser’s Fury. In the latter games I mentioned, you can literally travel on foot (or by sea via Plessie) and explore through a large continuous world until you arrive at your destination. Odyssey does not work like this. If I want to go from the Sand Kingdom to the Wooded Kingdom, I have to quit the Sand Kingdom, go back to the world map, and then let the game load up the Wooded Kingdom. Its many areas are literally broken up. They’re not all merged together into one continuous map.
I'll be honest, I kinda fell off the Demeech train for awhile there. But watching this reminded me why I enjoy these videos, and I hope to see more soon!
What hurts the most is that this could've been a masterpiece, a game for the ages. Rushing it did so much damage. You can also see it was rushed when appreciating the final Corona Mountain level, it feels weird and out of place. Fortunately, most flaws, as you mentioned, are for getting 100% and not just beating the game and its levels. Hopefully one day, we can get a sequel, but I'm not holding my breath. Meanwhile, Super Mario Sunburn will do. Great video and detailed analysis of my favorite 3D Mario game of all time. The immersion is second to none.
personally games don't need a big reward for 100% completion because the fun should come from the journey and just getting anything i can use to proof i did it is good enough
I don't know. I find Sunshine's control just as wonky & slippery as 64. The only thing it improved on was the analog camera & movements. But even those don't help because they are just as unresponsive and the camera has an mind of it's own sometimes

After watching Skawo's playthrough, I realize that several things in Super Mario Sunshine kinda aged poorly as Skawo brings up several issues with the gameplay. That being said, for its time, it was much better than its peers as most games in the genre tend to feel half-baked with a lack of challenging platforming (double jumping on strict railroads), tedious combat system, and sometimes, hopping on the trendy bandwagons. Meanwhile, Super Mario Sunshine did just one thing: Be a good platformer.

I always felt crazy for not liking sunshine at all im glad im not the only one. People say they play the game every summer, ive tried beating it 3 summers in a row its such a chore, I end up just turning it off
I get you. No matter how many times I get good at it, the game always find an way to screw me over and it's not because of my lack of skills. This game has really bad physic and level layout that felt frustrating & tedious rather than fairly challenging.
@jaretco6423 I agree the physics are horrible, I don't understand why people think Mario's controls in this game are on par with oddesy, I can't stand how he controls in this game he is way too slidy. Also I agree the level design is bad too it feels so amateur and not well thought out, those levels where shadow mario takes your flood away literally feel like a fan game and not a good one at that.
@@LincolnAKAVenox The sad part is that I see the potential the game has. It could've been better if they had more time to complete and polished the game up more. But it wasn't. This is one game that seriously needs an full remake makeover.
I played Odyssey and sunshine both before I played 64 and Odyssey feels like a better version of 64 however Sunshine feels different and I've never played the Galaxy games so I can't comment.
I love this game to death, but would never ever recommend anyone to 100% this game. In fact, I would actively advise against it. Basically, this review reflects my thoughts on this game exactly. I guess one extra aspect that you didn't touch on is that I love all the NPCs that are spread throughout the world. You don't see that in any other 3D Mario except a bit of Odyssey. They are always talking about stuff related to either the current episode you are in, or leading up to a future episode. And even if you never talk to them, seeing all the locals talking, dancing, and running about makes the worlds feel like lived in locations. The only world that needed more NPCs was Pinna Park. Why was a theme park so empty??
Even if I'm not fan of your video style (and your opinions/The way you tell them), I must admit, nice cloathing choice and beard. The end photo in Sunshine for the 100% is neat, even if it ain't as good as having access to the castle roof and find Yoshi, the Luigi campain, or the bonus worlds in 3D World... Still wanna play Sunshine one day, whatever if it's via emulation or a off-hand copy of 3D All-stars.
tl;dw 30fps, a few subjectively hard areas, too many blue coins of unkown location, some areas don't have 100 coins. seems like someone got tilted by pachinko
I first tried it (and 64) in 3D all stars but I couldn’t get a hang of the controls and platforming so I gave up on it after about 10 sprites. Tbf I felt the same about 64 tho.
Really good video on this game. I was honestly expecting you to complain about blue coins being too hard to find for 10 minutes, but the point about then just being filler is a very good point. You said those shines from blue coins could just be a new area or two, it just so happens that I'm pretty sure one or two areas didn't make it to the final game. Also huge respect for saying Sunshine is better than 64, not many people want to ever admit that
@paulgilbert5278 Well not all Mario games are great. And Sunshine follows that category. There's also Mario: Strikers: Battle League, Mario Tennis Ultra Smash & Paper Mario: Sticker Star; which are even worst than Sunshine IMO.
@Jack_Horner Oh boy. I'm so sick of how people tell me I lack skill issues and other crap. It's not even that. The game is poorly design because of how rushed and inconsistent the game is. Pachinko & Watermelon missions aren't the only bad ones. The Blooper Surfing, the entire Hotel Delfeno missions in Sirena Beach, the Chuckster mission, the ones without Fludd... Not all missions are bad. But there's still plenty of them and it has nothing to do with the lack of skill. That's how the game is design.
The biggest crime of the blue coins is that they do nothing. In order to get to the last area with bowser you need to be shadow Mario in each stage. Shadow Mario is always the 7th shine. So 7x7 shines + the first one on yhr airstrip = 50 shines you need. Don’t bother with the 8th shine in each stage or the blue coins or the 100 coins or any shine in Delfino plaza. The real curse of this game is the secret levels.
blue coins would've been good if bonus shines counted towards beating the game, because it would be functionally the same as buying a moon in mario odyssey, while still maintaining the challenge of finding the blue coins
The blue coins ruined it.... Nintendo just should have created 4 more missions and ended at 100...no law states it needed 120 shines because it 64 had 120 stars.
As someone who played this as their first game ever, Super Mario Sunshine holds a place in my heart which I often return to while still being able to enjoy it. This is due to the movement that is just so fun and rewarding which always makes me want to return to it while having a blast. As for the dreaded jank, it's definitely something I acknowledge but still can overlook while the blue coins are definitely a low however, I still love this game regardless of those issues.
I loved Super Mario Sunshine, I have fond memories of playing it on my GameCube. As soon as I got 3D All Stars I booted Sunshine up and it did not live up to my memory of it. Gameplay was pretty clunky and some stages just weren’t fun. Overall it was a good concept that needed another six months to a year of polish.
Funny how I had the opposite reaction I hated sunshine as a kid because it was a 3D game and 2D games are way better. And then the DS games like Metroid prime Hunter and phantom hourglass sucked and I thought all video games were going to go 3D and 2D games would go the way of the dodo. I didn't hate every 3D game but that was my mindset most of the time. When I got 3D All-Stars I was able to have more fun playing Sunshine because I wasn't just thinking 3D game crap and actually gave it a fair shake.
Can't wait for this one!! Sunshine's always been one of my favorite Mario games (don't @ me) so I can't wait to hear what you have to say about it!! EDIT: There's just no way the pinball machine level is worse than the lily pad ride.
@@Demeech the lily pad level itself AND the method of reaching the area are both tedious as hell. and to think that you have to bring yoshi to the island EVERY SINGLE TIME. they could've so easily clogged the pipe with a pineapple like with the one for sirena beach. that way you'd only have to do the yoshi stuff once.
@@perrytheplatypus4620I agree. Lilly pad ride is way worse because you have to bring Yoshi EVERY time with you. He has a time limit for some reason to so you have to be quick while waiting for thr boats. Worst level design in mario history imo
Honestly I LOVE the blue coins. Encourage exploration. I mean its no different than all the obscure odessey moons. I loved that too. But i do get the hole untrackable issue of it.
Something that is very sad that happened to me: I was THREE blue coins away from 100% in SMS. But I couldn’t find those even if I looked up a guide. So the hurtful thing I had to do… was to reset the save file to 1 shine. RIP
I love how none of this video criticizes the rushed development or bad design choices but instead focuses on the inability to 100% the game easily.. the hell?

Anyone remember when Super Mario 3D World was considered the black sheep of the 3D Mario games, until we realized at its core, it's still a very fun game to the point where a Switch port was highly requested? Super Mario Sunshine however, while having its fans, is still very divisive. I personally would more than welcome a mod that fixes many of its problems, but it would be better if Nintendo could do it themselves with a remake, rather than what they did in Super Mario 3D All-Stars.
What? There some people considered 3D World the black sheep of the 3D Mario games? I thought the game was awesome even before it gotten ported to the Switch to make it even better and I always figured Sunshine was the black sheep of 3D Mario games.
@@jaretco6423 I only assumed it was thought as at one point, because it didn't really innovate in regards to 3D platformers outside of the addition of 4 player co-op. That and it was apparently an expanded sequel to Super Mario 3D Land on 3DS. But it was still a great game, made even better when brought to the Switch with the addition of Bowser's Fury.
Super Mario Sunshine is just as old as me, it released on August 26, two days after my mom had me in the Riverside hospital in North America. (I also played it on the Dolphin emulator earlier in the year)
As someone who started and grew up with SM64 and its DS remake, Sunshine was the only 3D Mario I hadn't played by 2013. And I still haven't beaten Bowser in it, every time I try to give it a go its jank overwhelms me and makes me ragequit, even on relatively tame missions. I don't like that you have way less flexibility with which shines you go for, as you have to beat the Shadow Mario mission in every stage which requires a completion of all the ones preceding it. If there was simply a number of Shines to get that unlocked the final level I'd have very likely made way more progress and probably completed the story by now. I think another reason Sunshine's jank bothers me so much more than SM64's is because SM64 had simpler level design to accommodate for it, while Sunshine's level models are way more complex, leading to way more potential ways the game can jank out. And i swear it always puts its worst foot forward whenever I play it. It's still the only 3D Mario I have not beaten the main story of.
What is this jank some people keep saying Sunshine has? Outside of the few painfully broken levels like the pachinko machine (which are all optional anyway), the majority of the main levels play just fine. They're a bit more difficult than other 3D Mario games, but that's honestly refreshing. Mario's controls and the camera, while not perfect, are a significant upgrade from 64. As for disliking how linear the game is, that's valid, but is a bit nit-picky in my opinion. It's fine to prefer a more open sandbox, but it shouldn't ruin the game for you since most of the game's main levels are good.
The game *WAS* rushed. It only took about 1.5 years to develop, when 64 took between 2-3 years (closer to 3) and Galaxy 1 took about as long as 64. Galaxy 2 took 1.5 to 2 years to develop… but the first Galaxy laid the foundation for Galaxy 2. If they wanted to realize their concept, they should've let the game cook for at least another year… but I understand going nearly 2 years without a Mario game on their flagship home console was out of the question. They learned their lesson with Sunshine, though. Hence why Super Mario 3D World wasn't as bold/ambitious as many would've hoped. That game also had a 1.5 year development cycle, but they chose to play it smart and go for something less ambitious… but incredibly polished. It's also why Odyssey, being a much bigger game, was able to more successfully realize this open 3D concept as a much more polished experience. That game had over 3.5 years of development time. This gives me hope for the next 3D game in the series. The 3D Mario team hasn't released any new standalone games since Odyssey… which was almost 7 years ago. Assuming the next game is a launch title for Switch 2, it will be the exact opposite of a "rushed" game, even with Bowser's Fury happening in 2021. 7-8 years is a very long time…
You'll hate me for this, but hey, it's only an opinion, right? ;) Calling this game better than 64 is blasphemy, and I refuse to tolerate Super Mario 64 slander of any kind. Sunshine at its core is a very good yet flawed game. While I would love a remake of 64 done in the style of Odyssey, Sunshine's definitely more deserving of a remake. Its core issues come down to a lack of polish, the Blue Coins, certain aggravating missions, and slippery controls. But I think Sunshine has aged worse in some aspects than 64. 64 hasn't aged the best either, and the camera is awful, but if there's one thing I'll say and you'll probably disagree with me, is 64's movement was smooth and the controls were excellent for it. I have suffered a few rage-inducing deaths thanks to Rainbow Ride and certain aspects that require the Wing Cap, but overall, 64's just a better experience in terms of movement and polish. I feel it gets a lot of unfair criticism when Sunshine's issues are more in your face and it feels rougher overall to go back to. It doesn't help that the followup games are just better, Galaxy 1 & 2 and Odyssey. Now take back what you said about 64, or I'll go cry on Twitter that I'm *sigh* publicly unsubscribing from you because I'm just a backdoor Grumpus that can't handle someone having an opinion. Now pin my comment, that's an order! Lol Do it and we can enjoy some LiveWire on the beach. You do get some brownie points for praising Yoshi. :)
The things that caused Sunshine to slide into mediocrity are the broken physics (which usually become more noticeable without FLUDD and really show their colors at the pachinko machine), a camera that at times can be worse than the one in Super Mario 64, blue coins being tedious to collect and an over-reliance on them to get all the shines (no doubt some of the blue coin shines were originally intended for Coronoa Mountain), not having the freedom with which shines to tackle to unlock the final level, and the game generally having a very troubled development cycle.
I feel like if you need a guide to find something in a game then that’s bad gaming design. I’ll use banjo’s rusty bucket level for example. Took me a while to find the final notes and I found out it required breaking some windows. It’s hidden well despite being In plain sight. With shine you have blue coins that you have to spray random spots on walls, interact with items you’d have no clue the coins would be in or selecting a certain episode to find it. That’s just cheap For me that is the biggest knock on this game. Way too many cryptic things. I honestly didn’t know about most of the blue coins and the 100 coins till recently lol
At first I loved this game. I was having a great time playing it but unsure how to progress. I think I am near the end of the game but can't figure out what I am supposed to do next. Preposterous.
I personally love the game; the music is great, going through the tunnels below is a really cool mechanic, and flood is fye from skyward sword done right Edit: the game is clearly rushed though; the pachinko machine alone needed 6 more months of development time
Most of these comments really come down to people not being able to handle the controls. Guys all it will take is maybe 30 mins tops of just messing around in game to have a decent handle of them. Also Lily pad is harder than pachinko
I wish I understood your little in-jokes and references in each of your videos but alas, I do not. Haven’t been following your channel that long. Your criticisms are mostly pretty fair and valid even if I think the Lily Pad level is FAR worse than the Pachinko one. Dece review!
Idk if it’s true or not but I heard that this game was “rushed” to helps gamecube’s sales. I still like the game btw despite the glitches etc. The only think I don’t like is the amount of blue coin in the levels
Sadly, alot of GameCube games were rushed. Even some great ones like Metroid Prime, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door and Luigi's Mansion were rushed due to show just how powerful the system is and couldn't add more context. Although Metroid Prime & The Thousand Year Door has enough content already and plays well. And honestly, I don't find the GameCube that powerful.
@paulgilbert5278 Yeah. That's true. But as the same time though, most GameCube games were rushed. Leaving some games to be some of the glitches on the system or halve baked on the system.
I hate to admit this, but the only reason I bought Mario 3D All Stars was to play Sunshine. To me at least it is probably my 2nd least favorite 3D Mario game besides 3D Land. The controls just aren't it for me, but I understand some find it underrated and even like the controls. I do like how experimental and goofy this game was. It is kinda whiplash to go from "goofy court case" to "she's sleeping under the tree on the hill" in the next game.
I knew going into this and the title that the Blue Coins would be the thing that ruined this game to an extent, I also was hoping Demeech's Fury returned, I wasn't disappointed
I mean this was 2002 barely a year after it’s release. So Nintendo didn’t have the hindsight of the GC being a failure they just had to pump out games to keep up.
I want to love Sunshine, but I can't. It's the first 3D Mario game I played, and it has great ideas. But the writing being too similar to Sonic Adventure 2, the gameplay being extremely hard, and 100%ing the game being a waste are all what prevent me from enjoying it.
Same here. I've tried playing this game again. But I forgot how frustrating & tedious the games level, mission & structure it was and I hate that u have to complete all 7 episodes in each courses to unlock the final level of the game instead of just collecting this amount of Shine Sprites u only need to reach it. Which makes collecting extra shines and 100% completion useless and even than, the 100% completion sucks anyway. I did manage to beat the game once and I'm not doing it again. I did not had an good time with the game.
I mean. I don't agree cause at least 3D Land has it's own merits that has solid gameplay & level theme. Even if 3D World is significantly better; which I agree, there's some enjoyment to have in 3D Land and it was the first handheld 3D Mario game. So no. I don't think it's the worst. Now Sunshine on the other hand....
Seems like a strange comparison to me. That’s like saying there’s no reason to replay NSMB because NSMBWii/U is bigger and better. Both games have their individual merits and 3D land has quite a few merits of its own
@@yaniktheyoutuber That's not the point. My point is that even if the next game took everything that it's predecessor does and makes it better, that doesn't make the first one bad nor the worst game ever. Yes. Both 3D Land & 3D World played exactly the same. But there are differences to set them apart. Like 3D World has multiplayer, Captain Toad levels and so on. 3D Land was the foundation of that gameplay style. An 3D game played like the 2D ones. While I agree 3D World is an better game, 3D Land still test it's time for how it's transition to it's style and I think the game is still solid enough for as much replay value as 3D World or other Mario games has.
They aren’t hard, but they are pretty poorly designed at times. The panchinko level is the prime example of this, whilst it does take skill to beat, it doesn’t communicate what it is doing half the time. How is the casual player meant to know it will restrict your aerial movement up until you start descending? How is the player supposed to know that one (1) mistake will cost you the entire mission due to the awful hit detection? The game doesn’t tell you, so what’s the player supposed to do? Die and get frustrated until they pick up on the mechanic or do what Demeech and I did and just send it ‘till we got lucky and beat it? Good ideas on paper, but sunshine’s jank makes it frustrating as hell.
@@OutFreak28 You may be able to learn about the pachinko level through trial and error, but it is poorly designed and janky which puts the odds against the player and demoralises them. You can’t blame the player for getting frustrated at a poorly designed level. Bad level design is bad level design regardless of whether the player has a “skill issue” or not.

I always felt crazy for not liking sunshine at all im glad im not the only one. People say they play the game every summer, ive tried beating it 3 summers in a row its such a chore, I end up just turning it off
It's the Man of Steel of the Mario series
@CaptainCat101 could've been great but kinda sucks?
Can anyone tell me where I can get that shirt he's wearing in the beginning?
Really good video on this game. I was honestly expecting you to complain about blue coins being too hard to find for 10 minutes, but the point about then just being filler is a very good point. You said those shines from blue coins could just be a new area or two, it just so happens that I'm pretty sure one or two areas didn't make it to the final game.
Also huge respect for saying Sunshine is better than 64, not many people want to ever admit that
Wtf I just let the video play and at the beginning I thought I was listening to the actua mario sunshine cutscene
Look, I get that Sunshine may not be the best 3D Mario game in existence.
But the WORST? I kinda question that...
Well it kinda is. It's not the worst game in the world. But the worst 3D Mario game? Pretty serviceable.
Worst is crazy. They’re all so good it’s Mario we’re talking about
@paulgilbert5278 Well not all Mario games are great.
If there's one 3D Mario game that would benefit a remake/Remaster it's Mario Sunshine
If it was actually non-linear, that would have been so much better
blue coins would've been good if bonus shines counted towards beating the game, because it would be functionally the same as buying a moon in mario odyssey, while still maintaining the challenge of finding the blue coins
The blue coins ruined it.... Nintendo just should have created 4 more missions and ended at 100...no law states it needed 120 shines because it 64 had 120 stars.
28:52 You said there were 30 blue coins but then you have 119? What happened?
Nope. Pachinko is MUCH worse

Where I'm from, Summer is just around the corner. We just had Winter and the cold weather has lingered on a bit up to this point.
27:38 Demeech's Blue Fury
The game tells you how many blue coins you found in each area in the Z menu. Just hover over the area on the map and look at the bottom right corner
Issue is that you don’t know in which act the blue coin can be at.
Honestly I LOVE the blue coins. Encourage exploration. I mean its no different than all the obscure odessey moons. I loved that too. But i do get the hole untrackable issue of it.
This is my favorite 3D Mario game and even then I will admit this game has LOTS of problems
Not as many problems as switch sports
Or Battle League
Bowser does not sound like Cookie Monster in that game
Something that is very sad that happened to me:
I was THREE blue coins away from 100% in SMS. But I couldn’t find those even if I looked up a guide. So the hurtful thing I had to do…
was to reset the save file to 1 shine. RIP
I love how none of this video criticizes the rushed development or bad design choices but instead focuses on the inability to 100% the game easily.. the hell?
I haven’t played sunshine too much, but from what I played, it was pretty dang fun, I’m in Ricco harbor, so I’m looking forward to beat the game!!
Anyways I can’t wait for this, I’ve been waiting since you announced it 🤩😄😎
I've played every Mario game multiple times and sunshine is my favorite hands DOWN. Take it as you will.
It's very rough & glitchy in many areas. So I wouldn't start with this as your first 3D Mario game or Mario game in general. There's better games than this.

@Cyberbrickmaster1986 Hmm. I understand where some are coming from. But still. It's nowhere near the black sheep of 3D Mario games as some might say.
i played this somewhat recently, I played it upscaled on Dolphin on my PC, its probably my favorite mario game, its incredible
Is you taking shots at Josh Thomas (TheBitBlkock) a new running gag? If so, I'm all for it! XD
Now I wanna play Odyssey again to finally get every power moon
As flawed Mario Sunshine is its still one of my favorite 3d Mario games
Great review man
Thank you so much!
Super Mario Sunshine is way better than 64
31:48 for those wondering, the prize for 100% Sunshine Is... a picture with the Phrase "have a relaxing vacation"... A F@CKING PICTURE
Fun fact: I almost beat the painchiko and lily pad stages at my first try :(
Super Mario Sunshine is a misunderstood underrated masterpiece!
Who was this human guy at the start of the video? Where's the kremling croc we all know and love?
Assuming the next game is a launch title for Switch 2, it will be the exact opposite of a "rushed" game, even with Bowser's Fury happening in 2021. 7-8 years is a very long time…
I pretty much beat this game and I had no idea you could create platforms with the yoshis
Edit: just checked and i have 96 shines
If you can hook me up with LiveWire, I'll make sure to be nicer to Super Mario 64!
I love sunshine
Sunshine is my favorite 3D and to me the best in the 3D Mario genre. Controls, level design and aesthetic are legendary!
That’s just cheap
For me that is the biggest knock on this game. Way too many cryptic things. I honestly didn’t know about most of the blue coins and the 100 coins till recently lol
Honestly regardless of it’s setbacks this to me is an S tier 3D Mario
Super Mario Sunshine is the best Mario game. Fight me.
At first I loved this game. I was having a great time playing it but unsure how to progress. I think I am near the end of the game but can't figure out what I am supposed to do next. Preposterous.

Most of these comments really come down to people not being able to handle the controls. Guys all it will take is maybe 30 mins tops of just messing around in game to have a decent handle of them. Also Lily pad is harder than pachinko
Kinda reminds me of peoples opinions on 64ds’s dpad controls.
I know it’s not authentic but playing 64 DS on a 3DS will help you get used to it.
I wish I understood your little in-jokes and references in each of your videos but alas, I do not. Haven’t been following your channel that long. Your criticisms are mostly pretty fair and valid even if I think the Lily Pad level is FAR worse than the Pachinko one. Dece review!
I love Mario Sunshine but saying that it's better than 64 is gaming blasphemy
The GameCube is powerful in terms of its release. It was way more powerful than the PS2 and was more or less the same level as the XBOX.

Hate to say it but I enjoyed it more than Galaxy. However, I still think Galaxy is a superior game
If the GameCube wasn't being a total failure, this game could've gotten the polish it deserves.

The Sand Bird is not that hard.
Meh, mario sunshine missions aren't that hard, even the secret ones, it seems you guys are having a huge skill issue.
Seriously!!!!!!!
