    Clickbait!
Technical data’s are wrong / misleading!
In the beginning it’s a Aluminum hull, later described as carbon fiber hull……

NOT 60kW PERhour. It is 60kW Hours or 60kWh (meaning it can supply 60kW in an hour, 6kW in 10 Hours, 3kW in 20 hours, etc.)

hey brainiac.. 60kW per hour is literally 60kW/hr which is 60kWh etc. learn some notation. it's an utterly simple concept of power per unit of time. no need to pick nits. does your car go 60 miles per hour? 60 MpH? 60M/hr?

@@stephenmorton8017 Not correct. Per is deciding by. This is exactly the opposite. Power times the Time is energy. Unlike Km decided by time, whish is the rate of motion, AKA speed.

1 kilowatt for 1 hour is one kilowatt hour.
      1kW X 1hr = 1 kWhr i don't understand what the videos'
error was. you obviously understand the rating.

Interesting video choices. I'm guessing the interior pictures in the video are from something like a Sunreef 80' power catamaran?

This vessel looks over-loaded by weight and is riding too low at the bow. I don't see enough bridge deck clearance.

So hard to find info on how to get one of these. It ticks all the boxes of function over form and is more appealing to a simple guy like myself than the overly gaudy Silent Yachts catamarans, but it doesn't seem there's any way to actually buy one and no way to verify the manufacturers as reliable, let alone how easy or hard it would be to fix something when it inevitably breaks
Also, why pull away from the mic when you inhale. It's distracting and makes you sound sick

The bow and stern seem to bob up and down quite a bit in what looks like 10-15 knots of wind. I wonder how comfortable this would be on the open sea?

2-3 kw is about 4 horsepower... Can you imagine trying to move a 40 foot boat like that with a ton of windage with duel 2 hp honda outboards 🤣😂Someone got the math wrong on that lol

There are twin 10Kw motors that can produce the equivalent of 30HP. Obviously this can only be sustained for a short period but can certainly get you out of a pinch. Plus, I would install a 20Kw generator for such back up demands to extend safety net.

$500,000? I think that may be wrong.. OIC it is really 500k British Pounds. Which is about 20% less than the dollar. This boat is a huge bargain even though it does lack sex appeal.

When i look at the solar area and boat deck area being nearly the same size offering 9k and operational power, it seems a small cabin cruiser (32’ length x 9’ beam) with a full solar hard top would be equally operationally efficient. I wonder which company would produce that concept? Maybe saxdor, axopar, etc?

I like the boat I like the concept. The only thing I don’t like as I’m watching it go to the one on the front end sure does go low in toward the water if you were an open C 20 foot swells with public and go up the craft I don’t think it is seaworthy enough in the front to keep the bow up for large swells.

This is the future of boating, the third category: sail, fossil power and solar power. Battery, motor, panel and computerization will further be developed where maybe solar/portable sail powered boating will replace the other two. The keel lifts when solar powered, and keel drops when a small sail mast is raised for a hybrid of sail/battery drive. Right now maybe a hybrid of solar/fossil is leading the solar capability. Just a thought.

  • @craigwesson7913

The downspouts from the solar roof could be used as a fresh water supply (as a backup) to the water maker? Another thought I has was maybe a 50 ft version and perhaps additional solar that telescopes out when moored or at rest and gather even more power (of course larger battery banks would be needed for storage).

Is it a competitor of the Cat 12 from Sun Concept and if yes can you tell us about the differences ?

    • @efficientpower
      @efficientpower  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Yes, it is. Azura is cheaper but with some better specs. Azura used for the hull Aluminum and Cat used Fiberglass. Azura is a little bit cheaper compared with Cat. But Cat 12 (2 x 40 kW) is more powerful than Azura (2 x 10kW). So it depends where you want to compromise.
