How To Create A Vintage Sign From Scrap Metal

Back at it again turning rusty old junk into something worth hanging on your wall! This time I take a rusty beat up door, add a the logo from one of our beloved local soda companies, then seal it in with a coat of gloss clear coat.
This is one of the simple ways I help fund my other projects. I needed parts from the doors that isn’t available in the aftermarket. So i picked up some these 1965 Ford F100 doors that were well past there useful life. Stole the parts I needed then turned them into some to hang up on the wall of someone’s garage or man cave.
Making the most from ever dollar spent means I will get the parts I needed for free with only time and consumables that I already had laying around.

If you don't want your finish project to be high gloss you could spray clear BASE COAT instead of clear coat.

After sanding, spray Loctite Rust Neutralizer over the sign front and back to halt the rusting and seal in that look. It is clear. From Lowes only. Then paint your sign. Now the rust won't corrode from within.
Your project turned out beautifully. It is very artistic!
UPOL - is this a type of 2 part epoxy, same as their raptor bed liner paint? Does it have to be sprayed or can it be rolled/ brushed on?

Don’t remember the brand but it only cuts a 12” wide cutter.
