Thanks for the video, man! These switch panels are greate! I have two of these on my Defender. One for the car stuff (lights, compressor, winch) and another one for the camper suff (lights, water pump, heater, starlink). One is branded from Auxbeam and the other one is chinese. Both are identical quality. All of these branded ones are basically a sticker added to the box of a chinese unit. They are all made in china. My chinese one even has Bluetooth integrated with an iOS app, which is great for controlling it from inside the roof top tent.
Looks great, currently I have the same MUD console, 8 gang switch panel, volt metre and some other switches sitting on my kitchen table as my 110 goes thru a full camper build out in Germany (I'm an Aussie in Arctic Sweden and BRUCE THE Landy 110 is my pride and joy) The switch system is truly innovative and simplifies the multi coloured spaghetti that's a Defenders loom . I have spotlights, work rear lights, extra fans, Diesel heater, 12v fridge and a few other auxiliaries to go on the switch panel and I'm keen to fit it P.s I have wooden dash envy but OMG they are $$$$$
Part of what I love about our 110 is the simplicity and "erector set" approach to design and manufacture. Maybe this is because of my age as I grew up in the pre-digital era (you youngsters have no idea how much worse your life is now that "convenience" has dominated all aspects of consumer design) but a digital dash detracts from the elegant simplicity of the vehicle. I used to sail and to me it's the same concept...the Defender is a "sailboat" not a "powerboat".
Do you worry about theft? Everything you’ve done with your Defender is amazing but I would be so stressed about theft after putting so much love/effort/money into something! Are there good precautions that can put the mind at rest? Edit: ok just saw the last bit about the steering wheel 😅, is that enough or are there other things?
I have the same console and find that I punch the screen 3-4 times a day when shifting into 1 and 3. I’ve thought about an alternative shifting lever or bending the bloody thing. Have you solved this issue?
Really enjoyed watching this back, thank you Jack
Glad you enjoyed it thank you!

Great video mate, I need to tackle the dash on my Defender at some point and this has given me some much needed inspiration!
Oh that’s great to hear! I’m enjoying following along with your series. Thanks matey

Good point. I’ll install and kickstart and a 8 track 😂

I’ve got a few things. A tracker, clutch lock and I want an immobiliser

Yeah I never have that problem. I’ve got a slickshift installed and it shortens the throw
😄👍👍👍👍👍👍😀
