I now back right onto the Surrey Hills. Moved from Dorset 6 years ago. Hard to move but now I'm here it's a nice area. And I have a 300tdi which I have modded to its eye balls and I love it.
The best thing to do to any Defender is Leave it standard and just drive it,I Spent a fortune on a TD590 and added 250kg of acc to it and Although i only bought it for off road driving it could of done everything i wanted a standard and i took all the parts off and sold them !! You might think your making it look Cool but Your No,t So Driving it and having fun is better than spending thousands on daft parts.
Hello Tim, I spoke to briefly at the meet in London, great to see the functionality of the head unit, I have a V8 with a double din Pioneer, the stinger looks like a good upgrade. Stuart and Paul at Foley gave me great advice on my landy too.
Defenders get used for all sorts of things, which one do you think it should be used for?🤷♂️ mountain rescue, firefighting, ambulance, breakdown truck, farm vehicle, ferrying squaddies around a battlefield, overland camper, expedition truck, being someone’s daily driver is just as legitimate as any of the others.
Enjoyed coming to the meet up in London recently! We have also installed the Stinger unit. It's absolutely brilliant. Have a few reversing camera connectivity issues on start up, which we are sorting, but otherwise fine. Mine is a very late 2011 Defender and all the gauges and other funtionality of the Heigh10 is there and working well.
Tim, are you running V10 on your High10? You don’t seem to have all the other functionality available that the Stinger pulls off the OBD. This gives you more pages and shows all the Enhanced Vehicle Gauges, however this is only available on 2012-2016 models! I’ve just finished installing mine with the V12 update and have installed an 8 speaker + Sub with twin Focal Amps system.
That’s a really nice unit and screen. I’m torn as to whether it’s worth it though to lose those upper vents, when a more typical double din unit lets you keep them. Choices… choices…
Reversing into that ford and saying a tyre deep puddle is quite deep is the least defender thing I’ve ever seen.
Hahahaha!! I was pointing at the part under the river.. But yes a tad dramatic ;)
Surely the first “must do” upgrade is a set of road legal registration plates? 🤔
noo those are totally legal 😂
@@hsdxb It’s difficult to pick up on here but I’m really hoping that you are being sarcastic! 🤣👍🏻

That number plate colour looks good but not legal on a car registered in March 2010
Any chance to have the link for info-entertaiment system?

Amazing! I hope Foley get it sorted for you
That poor defender is screaming out to be worked like it was designed for....
I like to look after it not ruin it :) Been "properly" off-roading many time and is great fun! But always something breaks...

@@Jabber-ig3iw mine is my daily driver, but I also use it for moving hay, carcasses and driving the family. And for going through flood water.
Great video Tim!
Thanks so much! 🙌🏼🙌🏼

Great to hear!
Why are you running around with illegal number plates ?

Very smart defender 😊
Thanks so much!!
