Bought one. Had this vehicle for a year. It is FANTASTIC. Don't need any turbo this vehicle has the power.
Thanks for sharing
just bought its so slow
Yeah I just bought one too, slow af
@@timothycampbell4269fr ? Im about to buy one tomorrow, is it really that slow ?
do you know how fast it can go? i'm getting one this week
One of the nicest looking small sedans out there. I almost bought one, but I sprung for an Acura Integra which shares the same platform. It really bugs me that Honda has eliminated the engine temp gauge in the instrument cluster on many of its models replaced by an IDIOT light.
They are nice vehicles and I agree they should have this gauge in every vehicle 👍
That’s honestly the only thing that bugs me about the car
I'm worried about new Honda cars quality
My mom js bought this 2024 civic and trust me when I said I tried to convince her into getting the integra but she didn’t like them bc they look “chunky” to her 😭
Great review Anthony! I think red is the perfect color for this car. It would have been nice if Honda had gone with dual exhausts but overall a very nice car. I hope you are well.
I agree the wheels and color together looks good. Thanks James
I am debating between getting one of these or just waiting for the 2025 Civic to come out. What do you suggest?
I would wait before buying either to see how the hybrid is (if you want a hybrid) and the style. I wouldn’t be so concerned about tech as Honda has updated older models with free CarPlay.
Thanks for the walk-around. I buy vehicles that are reliable and relatively easy for me to work on myself. This seems like it might fit the bill. I'd rather not have too many features, because those are expensive to replace. I like that this model doesn't have a turbo. I still have a 2009 Accord that's in great condition but we're looking to add on another vehicle.
The Civic is a great vehicle, I like the hatchback a little more but either way you will not go wrong 👍
I'm nearing the end of my lease for my 2022 Civic Sport. I realy like the car however, the EX has the sunroof and heated seats which I would also have liked to have come with the Sport. Torn between keepibg the Sport and trading for the EX... What would you advise?
The big difference also is the engines. The ex will have more power than the sport. If the dealer gives you a good trade then I would but if not the sport is still a great vehicle and you have lived without the upgrades so you will not miss it.
Go to a couple different dealers to check as you maybe able to get a really good deal this way. Good luck which every way you go 👍
@@HawkeyeRides Thank you so much!
Is Honda changing anything for the interior, safety features, tech etc. for the 2025 civic?
The interior will have some updates to the honeycomb style of the dash, larger store and update technology and safety. As for the update with them Honda hasn’t released this information yet but I will as soon as I receive it.
@@HawkeyeRides thanks! I’m currently on the fence about getting the 24’ civic sport or waiting for the 25’ to see if it’s a big upgrade. Hope they release more info soon
Best review yet
Thank you
I have a 2020 Nissan Sentra SV. I recently test drove a 2024 Honda Civic Sport. I was disappointed to find out I’d have to give up blind spot, I’d get a smaller infotainment screen, and the back up camera wasn’t nearly as good as mine. I know Honda is a better made car, but I’m wondering if I will be okay without the features I really love.
What are your thoughts on Civic vs Sentra ?
Thanks
Nissan offers more standard features and options for less than Honda. You will save at least 5k, the interior has more space for the back seats with Honda and the Civic has two engine options. Because both vehicles power is close and the rides are as well I would go for the saving 👍
1 bought a 2024 a month ago and the suspension is terrible, are they all like this or should I take it for inspection?
I would take it back because it’s not a real firm suspension
just got one in white pearl i kinda wish they had hatches in stock as i might’ve bought one of those
They are both nice congratulations 👍
I'm looking to get one but expected the 2025s to be on the lots here in Atlanta by now. When will the 2025 model arrive?
I’m still waiting on this side to, my team says anytime this month but it’s looking like next month. I only review vehicles but they provided me with this insight to their inventory.
@@HawkeyeRides Thank you!
Does the 158 horse power slower thatn the 174? Or does it have good pickup?
It’s not a huge difference between the two engine trims
Thanks
Thanks for overview. Can I get manual in the Sport 2.0
No but it has paddle shifts
You can on the hatchback model.
@@MrDaveaccord but not the sedan sadly 👍
@@HawkeyeRides Unless you upgrade to the Si but that's more money and has a turbo and the dealer mark up is insane.
@@cmbikerplus a 1.5 is prone to headgasket failure. Be careful i had a 22 the direct injection and turbo don’t help. Just research it. The k20 is a damn good engine
I'm happy there's still a non turbo option. I've owned a turbo vehicle. They're pretty fun too daily. But the repair costs at 100k-120k aren't fun at all. I'm going to assume the si and 1.5t models will have a similar 100k-120k maintenance bill. So, to still offer a civic that doesn't require a hefty 100k-120k mileage maintenance service is pretty ideal. And most who buy new don't hold them up until 100k miles. They trade in before that period to dodge those costs. So I'm pretty happy they still offer the 2.0 as a non turbo. And praise Jebus, they still offer a stick.
Honda did a good job offering various trims 👍
Just got one all black and i love it... naturally aspirated too... i was a big fast and the furious fan growing up... and the all black honda reminds me of the first fnf movie.. if u know u know
Congratulations they are nice 👍
Just bought the pearl white one, with 2.0 best decision i have made
@@JR-tq6dgcongrats, i just bought one today in the lunar silver color. They had a white one too, but the silver one felt better to me.
Only Cara that turbos belong on are race Cara or diesels na will have longevity
Wait till you see their quality lol
How would you compare honda civic to hyundai sonata sel?
I like the Hyundai a little more but Honda has better sound insulation. Power is close, seating is better with Honda but value and warranty I would go Hyundai.
How tall are you? I'm worried I won't fit I'm 6'5. Any help ?
6’3 you should be fine
You should fit no problem. These new civics are more spacious than the previous generation
We have two 2020 Civics, one Hatchback Sport, other Coupe EX. When we saw the Gen 11s we said BORRRING! So we took a super deal on the Gen Xs. Now we are looking at trading in 2025. But this time we want a Hybrid and prefer AWD. Prius and Corollas are looking good for our daily driver replacements.
We'll see what Honda will bring.
I agree 👍
Bought one this weekend , radio keeps rebooting , anyone had that happen to them ?
Take it back to the dealership they may not have finished the PDI
I just leased one 3 weeks ago I love it except at 80 years old it has too much computer stuff for me.
Congratulations they are nice vehicles and I have to agree this tech thing is going over board
@@HawkeyeRides I agree with you guys I just bought one today and I feel like it's gonna take me a while to get used to this thing and all the features
I have a Touring not a Sport Touring & have the 12 speakers, Bose, 9 inch screen, wireless charger, leather, full digital instrument cluster
Congrats with your Civic

Thinking about buying that trim (Touring). Talk to me about your experience with the Bose speakers system?
@@aestheticrichmond8605 it is great! My lease is almost up and I’ll be switching into another car. I test drove an Acura RDX with their ELS sound system and it didn’t seem that much better than the Bose in the Civic.
I recommend the Touring Civic! It’s a great loophole. Fully loaded for $30K vs say an Accord at that price with no Bose system and probably cloth seats.
The sport trim in Canada must be like the ex-l trim in the US. I got the sport trim and i have the heated steering wheel and the moonroof
Thanks for sharing 👍
In your country they require certain features to be standard in your vehicle so it can operate in your climate which is nice cause we gotta pay extra for that lol
I just love non US spec cars, much better cars for less money
I got the sport hatchback last year here in canada. It’s really equivalent to the sport touring edition it the US.
is this one an AWD or a FWD or a RWD?
FWD only
The EX is only $1400 extra and you get more features. The oil dilution claims for the 1.5T are drastically over blown. I get close to 50 mpg on backroads and highways, so no need for a hybrid.
Thanks for your insight 👍
You do mostly highway or city driving?
Id imagine more people are going to use this for city driving. I do and I get around 29 mpg’s at best
i like my ex-l hatch in black, almost 2k miles so far
Congrats they are nice
@HawkeyeRides for sure it might not be the fastest but it's fast enough for me, and could still push the engine more but afraid of getting a ticket lol
The CVT is my biggest issue with my 24 sport. For the money I should have bought a 24 Camry.
It’s good on a back road but there is nothing sporty about the standard powertrain
I’m not a cvt fan either
@@HawkeyeRidescvt for them to be fun, don’t hit the throttle hard and you will be surprised
Cvt kills it for me. I just can't 😂😅
@@lanesworld4000 I’m not a fan either 👍
Im pulling 6s on the 2.0 . You dont floor any injection car like a carburetor. Ride stlll sucks. Might try dropping air to 30 psi. Tires gain 2 psi within a couple miles. Should have got the steal wheels. F the trim.
That’s for sharing
The last thing I want on earth is a civic hybrid and especially paired with a cvt transmission no I’m good I’m buying a Honda cuz I love em and been hunting one down for a while
Thanks for sharing
The problem with the turbo on Honda cars is that it is coupled with a L1.5 engine which has some serious problems which you might want to look up - oil dilution for one. Honda claims to have fixed the problems but all users looking into this claim otherwise. My choice is the 2.0 engine that has shown itself to be nearly flawless.
Thanks for sharing your insight 👍
1.5T is pure junk. I had nothing but problems with mine.
Plenty of 1.5t out there with very high mileage. You think Honda is going to give up their reputation with a “junk” engine.
As more 1.5t hit high mileage, is when we can see how reliable it is. Starting to hear of 1.5t blowing head gaskets before 120k miles
This looks so much better than the hatch, but doesn’t come in manual. Makes absolutely no sense.
They are nice vehicles
the Si has it
I like my 2023 Honda hrv and she’s a sport and her name is Scarlet and I would consider the hrv more of a sister to the civic. I would consider the Civic a much older brother if we are talking in terms of gender.
It’s like say tomato’s, if you are in USA it’s said different then UK, to each its own
I leased the 24 sport trim. The rid is becoming unbearable. I going back next week and asking them to check for suspension blocks. Thats how bad it is.
Sorry to hear that
@@HawkeyeRides surprised to say the ride settled down immensely after 600 miles or so. I guess a break in period was needed?
The problem is those damn wheels are to big and the tires too skinny for that car,
I bought the blue one 😁
Congratulations and nice color
so not all civic sport comes with the moon roof ????
It is not a standard option, ex gets it standard.

I hope there will be non-hybrid Civic for 2025, they don't make sense here where it's so cold
It should have a non hybrid like the Accord
Some weird red flags with the CVT.
I’m not a big fan of them but it is a nice vehicle
OMG
this MPH
Display looks same to Nissan Altima 2015
Low quality on 2024
It’s not everyone’s fav 👍
How can they call this a "sport" it is weak sauce. ..CVT, 138 torque...
I say it on some of my reviews, just because it says Sport doesn’t mean it is 😁.
156 hp?😮 That 1.5 is weak. Should be tweaked to at least 180 hp to be a quick car.
It’s a lot of power for a small engine but more hp is always welcome
it has less features than the previous gen
This is common with all makes 👍
Meh, get the turbo.
But then you don’t get the sport style 😁
meh,
It’s a nice car but Honda has room for improvements 👍
