Any way you could list the parts you added to the bike? For example the tail light and bar end mirrors? Thanks! Mines coming in the mail Wednesday and I can't wait to ride it
What aftermarket parts did you add? I like the fender eliminator kit? If you could put links to what you added i would appreciate it. Looking to get one of these soon.
Dont have links but off the top of my head : BikeLiteZ Supermoto Fender Eliminator from amazon DNA air filter, open air box Full Leo Vince exhaust Power commander 5 with map from Rottweiler performance 15T front sprocket (-1 from original) And bar end mirrors
Thanks bro! I got these bar end mirrors from ebay about 25$ And i havent dyno’d the bike but from what i understand it puts about 72ish HP to the wheel with these upgrades so about 8 HP increase, the main thing is the power delivery throughout the rev range thats very noticeable. Hope this helps 👍🏽
@@joeyg3789 okey! I bought one right now! Thanks alot! I got a Huskvarna 701 2020! And u know that i live in sweden in the city called Jönköping where Husqvarna 701 was built! Seach on huskvarna Jönköping :) take care bud!
Sweet video! Question: did you need too remove a link from the chain when you dropped a tooth? And did the power commander make much of a difference? I just brought my 690 smcr through the break-in period today ... got a picture oof the odometer reading 666.6 miles heh
Thanks! No need to remove link, just adjusted the chain thats all, the power commander makes it run alot smoother, no more popping out of the aftermarket pipe and some added power as well, deff woke it up.
Just picked up my 701 SM. I got a left over 2020 at a really good deal. At About 7.5 miles on the odometer the clutch slave went out. No clutch control at all. So I got the Oberon slave coming next week.
@@g_j_b_o_o_g_e_r420blaze9 Yep. Couldn’t believe it. I let the dealer know right away. They said they would order the replacement slave after I trailered the bike over to them. Hey "The Juiceman ", thanks for sharing. May i ask from where you ordered the tail kit? Plate holder, indicator/tail light/brake light? Thanks in advance. Kind regards.
hi man! i'm planning to buy a 701 from new, just like you I wanted a SM for years now after owning more than 10 normal 4 in line bikes, I got a question for you if you don't mind, do you have any oil burning problems? thanks in advance! cheers and stay safe!
as long as its broken in correctly, you wont have that problem. in the first few miles you have to give it a little bit of tough love right out of the box, hard riding. and after that, ease off for the next 600 miles but change the oil often (i used t4 rotella 10w40) and always vary the RPM's so everything seats properly. im at over 4k miles now and no oil burning issues!
@@joeyg3789 first of all thank you for the quick response, you just have confirmed that I should use mineral(conventional) oil for the break in as MotardSteve says to do(and do the hard break in, loading the engine and engine breaking) thank you very much so, ride safe!
Wry nice review. I’ve watched it a few times and shared it with others. I’ve got a hold on a left over 2020. Looking forward to getting in soon. Is there anything you would recommend aside from what’s in the video.
I would just say properly break it in, hard break in with the right oil makes sure you dont have an oil burning engine in the future and have all the power its intended to have 👍🏽 thanks for sharing
@@joeyg3789 Thanks! I ask because ideally the 701 supermoto is a bike i would like to own. But Husqvarna doesn't have a good enough dealer network here in the U.S. The nearest dealer to me is about 90 minutes away by car (assuming no traffic). And also hearing some new owners having some issues with their bikes. So i'm very hesitant to pull the trigger.
If you’re talking about the frame sliders i actually took them off due to them causing more harm then good But the axle sliders are held on with a long threaded rod
@@joeyg3789 Cool thanks a lot. I hear tons of beginner recommendations about bikes but i never seen this bike mentioned. (Probably because price) But Everyone who makes a video on the 690/701 has been riding for years
If you want to save your ass, either move those bar-end mirrors above the grips where you don't have to look down to see the drunk coming up behind you when you're stopped for the light he's going to run or return to stock mirrors. No one looks down enough at those lower mirrors to keep track of rear traffic to be safe.
