- What is the Husqvarna 701 like after 1 year of riding it. What are the pro and cons of the bike? And what would I like to change about the bike? I will tell you all about it in this video.

My mechanic does sm Racing and he meant it could be that if you brake hard and go fast the liquid gets to hot and it starts kind of "condensating"....however...

Always wanted the 701 but ktm was doing a better deal than husky so it was a no brainer to get the 690, but I love it...Backing it into a corner and then poping wheelie out is one cool move. Graphics look sick VDB. Eagerly waiting for the next video.

I installed factory pro shift kit (new shift star and shift arm) and my quick shifter is buttery smooth now. I had experiences with false neutrals as well before the change

I also have a 701 2018 and its just a great bike yeah of course it's heavier as a 501 but as you mentioned it handles very great and maintenance is a little bit better but I change oil ever 5-7k km cause I drive it very harsh so I give it a little bit love I also had the problem with the clutch and changed to oberon (it's a little bit better than the siguratech in my opinion) I also have a little bit of fading but only when I'm really long and aggressive on the brakes and it goes when the brakes run a little colder again and backing in is just a good feeling like a wheele I'm a beginner with backing it in but also as you mentioned it just works better when I'm using the clutch by myself and don't use the function of the slipper clutch and tires always wear off as quickly as you put it on no matter what brand greetings from germany ✌🏻have a nice day
yeah the manuel is saying 10k but will do it around the 5k also
The abs module is the problem of the brake failure. And you still need to install the factory pro shift kit to solve the false neutral problem.
Hi. I have a 701 wich I bought brand new last June. I've installed the proshift kit and the false neutral problem get's better but won't go away. It eliminates 40 to 50% of the false neutral in between the first and second gears and almost all up from second gear.
@@joaomoreira5879 Yes it helps alot, rude shifting with motorcross boots helps to. And I have installed a longer shifting lever because I have sho size 45, that helps to for better shifting. And ofcourse set the shifting lever in the right height for you
@@Zwiepmoto Wich lever do you bought? I need a lower brake pedal lever cause I've installed the lower bear trap footopegs from Motobau and now the pedal is above the footopeg.
@@joaomoreira5879 I installed a hammerhead shifting lever but there are more brands with longer shifters. And you don't need to buy another brake pedal, just ajust the heigt in the right position for you by using a longer ajustment bolt. Watch the clearance of the brake pedal. If you don't know how to ajust, read it in your manual.
@@Zwiepmoto I've done it already to max length before brake actuate but it is not enough and the pedal remains way above the footopeg. Tanks for the help.

Never thought about decals for the rims which turned out very nice. Overall I think its a very good makeover. :)
Thanks buddy! Rim decals are the best and cheapest upgrade you can do. Also puts on a lot of extra protection to the wheels
You can say whatever you want but in my opinion the Dutch always dress themselves the safest out of all the supoermoto riders, I always see you guys in full leather when riding and I love that!

With your front brake issue, have you tried DOT 5 fluid? instead of stock DOT 4 fluid, higher boiling point.
I use DOT 5 in both front and rear brakes, on my Aprilia Dorsoduro 750, no brake fade.
Grumps.
We've tried a couple of brake fluids but didnt solve the problem.

The only thing i dont like of my 701 is about braking. Whenever i brake i feel like the front suspension is way too soft and sinks way too much into the asphalt. Any advice in how to make them stiffer? Changing the springs?

How do you like the FMF muffler on the 701? Would you say it's worth it over the others?
Dam! Husqvarna should be taking care of any issues with the 701. A bike with that price-tag shouldn't be having the problems mentioned (year after year!).

on the problem with brake: maybe it's the mastercylinder that fades.
common on gsxrs for example, its fades and with new fluid and bleed works fine, then it goes again and again...

Stock 701 or drz with upgrades... life is hard...
2 completely different bikes though! DRZ is a lot lighter, less power as well. DRZ feels a bit more as a hoon bike. 690/701 are really mountain/corner slayers

I've got the same problem with my (701-19) front brake? Changed the fluid 3 times in 7000km.🤔
The solution is to be extremely careful when you bleed the front brake, result!🙂👍

@@Supermofools I copied you and bought Chinese swing covers for my 701, actually it wasn't to hard to make them fit, ....wired that nobody have started to make them for 690/701 in plastic yet..🤔
Today I blocked the side stand sensor with a magnet and hide it far up in the frame, now it's not that exposed anymore.🙂👍
@@simmapallen we have been looking into making them for the 690 and 701 but it's really expensive.

Fully street legal! Indicators are in the handguards and tail tidy. Mirrors inside the handguard also
@@Supermofools thanks for the reply. I watched it again and did notice them. Not sure if they’d pass legal requirements here in Australia though. However it does improve the overall look of the bike!
