I picked up a 690 in July, ordered the comfort seat right away. First weekend I had it I did 350 miles on a Saturday and the stock seat was not a issue, I returned the comfort seat.
My issue is I slide around on it. It just doesn’t seem to grip well onto any of my pants. I prefer to feel very attached to the bike when riding aggressive. Being that it’s the same seat at the 701 enduro it makes sense to me.. because on the enduro I’d be spending most of my time standing anyway.

I've got the 2019 enduro. IMO the best year they made, no TC bull shit and the engine is smooth. granted, it sounds like a sac of hammers thrown down a hallway at idle. (especially with aluminum skid plate) I live on Vancouver Island in Canada so.... ECU is not locked down. 73 HP outta the box. I only have to clutch it up in 6th. Stock can sux BALLS. Went with the Yosh slip on, up one one the front sprocket and the Husky foam air filter. FUCK THE QUICK SHIFTER and the clutch. I only use it for staring from a dead stop and brake turns. Only complaints are : 1- auto de-compresion was put in 180 degrees out. Cost me two starters. 2- Stock fuel pump is JUNK. Smoked it at 5000Km. put a $75.00 GM TPI truck pump in it. 3- Back tire mysteriously keeps going bald WTF?. 4- Headlight.... I wont even go there, carbide lantern would be better. $16,500.00 out the door. The look on sport bike riders faces after I beat their ass... PRICELESS! Clocked just over 52,000 Km since Nov. 2019. I ride it almost every day (like I stole it) and still haven't touched the valves. (apparently I like to procrastinate a little bit) WORTH EVERY PENNY, NO REGRETS. OK, one regret.... that I haven't gotten around to getting the Power Commander V yet.
Maybe I’m old school but I just count my gear position. For gas, I still do this on every vehicle I own, I reset the trip meter every time I fill up. When it gets around 110 miles-140miles I know I need to look for a place to fill up. Admittedly, a tach would be nice.
This is totally a fair video. I found out if you leave the in original halogen bulb headlight on too long it will melt plastic I switched to an LED and it doesn’t get hot

Valid points as well as quirky traits that most bikes come with . The quick shift is truly a mystery that i have narrowed down to the techs that set up/service the bikes . Slave master cylinder is another hit or miss . The indicators along with seat and hopefully pipe can easily be fixed by Husky and should for that price .
Ah, the quickshifter… I hope you manage to fix it. In my case it works although I had one missshift. As goes for fuel indicator, I am using Trip 2 gauge. I know that I can make around 220 kilometers and after refule I reset it.
Yes, hopefully I can get it working! Like I said, it feels nice when it works, it just never does. I actually didn’t even realize the bike had a quick shifter when I first ordered it.. so I’m not extremely disappointed with it not working luckily. And yeah I’ll definitely have to start seeing how much I get from a tank. @@JonesBrosGarage just got my 600 mile service done on my bike, and found out that the Easy shift system doesn't work like a regular quick shifter. I used to hate not having a gear indicator, coming from a bike that did have one...but I *always* know what gear I'm in. You have to think deliberately about it at first, but it becomes second nature. Also, there is nothing sketchy or weird being on the highway and trying to see if there is another gear...especially with a quickshifter!
I’m really glad I bought my 2018 KTM 690 Enduro R. They were stupid to remove the indicator panel like I have and only provide what’s there now in these later models. My 501S doesn’t have it all. But, the 690 is a street bike with dirt bike capabilities. The 501S is a dirt bike with street bike capabilities.
Your right. At that price point it def shouldn't have these issues. Other bikes at the same price are decked out with tech and premium components. The triumph street triple 765rs for example. Beautiful tft dash.customizable riding modes. All the bells and whistles. Smooth fueling, decent exhaust. Not all choked up with giant cat converters. Premium seat. Smooth quick shifter. Great headlights. Nice paint. All for the exact same price... Sure it's no super moto, but none of these issues would add weight, or make it less of a super moto if they were fixed. Like you said, it's all just cost cutting. But when you see what other bikes offer for the same price, you kinda feel like you're getting gypped. It's like they know they monopolize the market having the only real road legal super moto. So they don't have any competition forcing them to be better.
that's so f@*)?6 true, it will be great that Husqvarna put some more effor to improve those little details on this bike, but also i'm curious cuz i saw a H701 2023 model is coming out and maybe they haved fix some issues, i will like to hear whats your opinion of this becuase i really don't know.
195lb old dude and it is this bike, a Yamaha WR250x, TW200, or DRZ400. Used to be 'stupid' on a bike in my youth so probably a low CC option would be smart.
LOL, my 2021 has a perfectly working factory gear indicator. They got rid of that feature on the 2022 or it's just a US quirk? :D The lack of gas gauge never bothered me at all. The stock seat is bad, it's still OK for about an hour's ride. Works great at the track, the grip is perfect with KLIM Desert pants. (Please, ffs, don't ride in jeans and baby shoes.) Factory comfort seat is available pretty cheap. The exhaust endcan includes the catalytic converter, that's why it gets so hot. The factory titanium I have on my 2021 pretty much solves the problem. As for the quickshifter, for me it's about 90% trouble free. I learned on the first couple hundreds miles that it must be *cycled fully, operated firmly under throttle with authority*... Do not touch the lever until you are committed to shifting or the ignition will be cut.... Things that still annoy ME after a couple thousand miles: kickstand too long, mushy/cr*ppy dashboard buttons, constantly flashing ABS light in mode2, surging/choking when the engine is cold, super jerky low RPM performance (partially fixed by a simple fuel dongle), turn signal switch feedback, stock mirrors, hydraulic chain tensioner randomly rattles after start for a few seconds like a bag of bolts. Overall, still a f*cking great bike!
I agree it’s an amazing bike. I’ve found a few pants that fix the grip issue as well! That is strange yours has a gear indicator, maybe it’s a us thing? I have the dongle also and it did help, looking very forward to exhaust and tune! All around I’d say it’s the best bike I’ve ever owned for sure 🤟
That’s extremely strange. Is it a Europe model? If it’s US I guess they got rid of it for 2022. I know some of the older models had a makeshift tachometer too
The manufacturer knows you will change the silencer. That is why they provide an aftrer market silencer in their catalogue to which the bike is already tuned.
If the bike wasn't 12-13k or the door new, I'd say none of your issues are really issues since you can get add-ons from ktm or aftermarket. But that price is brutal, for the same price you can get an 890 duke, and for 1k more you can get an 890adv.
Most of it is excusable. The tuning, understandable 100%. The seat, meh whatever. The lights.. ehhhh a little pushing it. The lack of gear indicator and tach, completely ridiculous.
This monster is suppose to be a light as possible to offset the bigger engine. It makes sense they did what Lotus does, figure out how to charge more for less.
Have you ever test ridden a new Ducati Hypermotard 950? Couple grand more then a 701SM but pretty much takes care of all the complaints you mentioned out of the box. Of course the Hypermotard is heavier than the 701 but it also has more power and torque. Also a used 2016-2018 Hypermotard 939 SP is a good deal.
You don't need a gas guage if you use the trip counter, but I hear ya; alot of money in necessary upgrades & aftermarket to get that bike right makes for a VERY expensive toy. Worth it though; looks way better than the KTM 690 Enduro R if you don't mind the motocross look. I can't think of a better dualsport bike other than the Ducati Multistrada V2 solely for its amazing styling & power
1st thing - get rid of that muffler to Ti muffler - pretty expensive up to 2000$ if you change header pipe aswell, that engine is begging for good intake and exhaust, it cries for exhaust 2nd thing - get CUMPAN dash - 200$ 3rd thing - order EU blinkers or get tail eliminator kit with that nice fancy LED strip, here in EU no cop will bother you because of blinker shape/color only at technical inspection - 150$ 4th thing - get MX seat cover with rubber strips - 50-100$ 5th thing - get pro shift mod to eliminate false neutrals - 100$
They’re pretty much identical for 2020+. Prior to either 2020/2019 not sure which year the ktm was missing the second counter balancer shaft. They now both have identical motors. The husky has a 2 year warranty while the ktm has one. The ktm has a usb charging port while the husky doesn’t. I also believe they have different tires. It really comes down to which color you like if you’re buying new. I prefer the husky and prefer the extra warranty.
The stock muffler gets so hot because it has the catalytic converter elements in it and those require heat to work properly. It stays hot for a long time post ride because those elements get so hot, combined with the thickness of the stainless steel, it holds heat longer than thinner walled aftermarket aluminum/Ti/ carbon pipes will. It melts the stock indicator because the outlet is both before and practically aimed at the indicator… or because of the temperature of the can itself. The KTM version of the pipe still gets (and stays) just as hot, but the indicator doesn’t get melted because the outlet is better positioned.
It’s technically not a quick shifter. It’s a shifter assist. And it doesn’t work until after the first service because it has to be programmed at 610 miles
I’ve seen so many mixed comments on this. What exactly is the shift assist even supposed to do? Because my downshifts function exactly like a standard quickshifter right now when they decide to work
Basically you can’t shift under wide open throttle and have to shift at certain speeds. I think it is dumb. Why not just make it a true quick shifter?!
@@meanbmw yeah I’ve found it works well, as intended, if I just let off the gas a quick second. Which is pretty funny… because I can do that on literally any bike lol. I think the confusion comes because a lot of people who owned this bike haven’t had a bike with a real quickshifter so they’re confused when I question how it’s supposed to work
You don't need to ride a certain distance to disable the TC on my 2020, the light is on automatically on startup until you reach that distance, but you can still toggle it freely. You just won't know for sure you held it down long enough till you roll past those first 25 feet and see the light go off(tc on) or stay on(tc off). I agree the inability to permanently toggle TC without an aftermarket solution or LITERALLY a KTM powerparts device manufactured and sold by KTM which allows this. It should be a software toggle. I feel that the seat comfiness got better after 1000 miles. Also, stock seat cover blows. You need a full MX grip seat cover to really make this super rideable. I was baffled by the speed AND rpm minimums and maximums for each gear, but it's worked fine for me for 7k miles.
I hear you....but all the issues you mentioned are NOT deal breakers. You should have known this bike did not have or had these things that you dislike.
Yeah that’s why I started by saying this is my favorite bike I’ve owned but no bike is perfect. What makes this bike so awesome is all of its flaws are fixable aftermarket.. which I love because it gives me an excuse to make it my own. Either way the lack of dash instruments at this price point is simply just cost cutting and laziness. It doesn’t make the bike bad or not worth it, it’s just something they can improve on to make this bike even better. The quick shifter also could use better programming perhaps when they refresh this model. The seat is understandable for a supermoto. The lights could use an upgrade to LED. These are just the things they could change on the next generation of bike to make it an even better bike… for the mean time I’ll gladly do them myself. 👍🤟
I own a 701 2020 here in Brazil and I agree that a 450 would wheelie much easier on the second gear. So which part could I buy in order to have more Power? Would it be a kind of chip or somerhing like that? Tx bro
So the issue is that the 701 is street legal so has to pass emissions in stricter countries such as my own (US) and UK. In order to get it to pass they have to strongly restrict the fuel/air mixture to lower emissions. This isn’t the case on a dirt/race machine that isn’t street legal. So basically you need a slip on exhaust (the stock header pipe is good), an air intake (I recommend rottweiler), and some kind of tuning software (I recommend Power Commander 6). With those 3 parts, the bike with be more aggressive than a 450!
@@JonesBrosGarage Hi bro! I finish the setup - high flow air filter + slip on exhaust + booster plug + 45 teeth rear sprocket- abs the bike is sick! There is question I would like to ask: do you think the 45 rear sprocket is too much ? I have been reading that 44 is the most prefered by users. What do you think regarding this ?
@@badejobranco honestly it’s really a personal choice. I actually don’t mind a 45 or even stock gearing once this bike is tuned because I like having the top speed, and it still can wheelie second gear. I still think 45 would be a blast and feel more similar to a “real” 450 motocross bike. If you don’t ride high speeds I don’t see any reason not to go with 45! 44 is a nice in-between though if you really can’t decide.
It's like the manufacturers of SM bikes are trying to see what little they need to include and have much they are able to get away with. They don't seem like consumer products to me, more like stripped down experiments with not even the bare minimum. Almost like a prototype with registration plate. It's not a fully qualified product unless your track racing.
All very fair criticisms and probably put a lot of people off if it's going to be your only bike. Be interesting to see if Ducati's new equivalent fixes all these...
Those are pretty good points, actually. I thought this would be another contrived YT list video. I disagree on a TFT screen. I prefer buttons and LED indicators. If they would just make the mapping/traction switch work like it does on the dirt bikes, I would be happy. Permanent ABS setting would be nice, too. But I'm guessing that's illegal, so no one does it. My gripe with the QS is that you can't disable it. Dealer said there is no setting in the software. The only way to shut it off is to pull the sensor connector, which throws a CEL. I have a habit of preloading the shifter with my foot but not going through with the shift. 2 of the bikes I've ridden with a QS would trigger the spark cut out-of-time and cause power surges. I'd rather do it myself with the throttle and have 100% consistency. The exhaust is so hot because it has a catalytic converter. An absolute crime for a motorcycle, IMO. But we don't make the rules, and our votes don't matter.
Hey, i got my new Husqvarna 701 yesterday and haven't ridden it yet. Tho when i start it, my neutral light doesn't work and the malfunction indicator light up yellow, do you have any idea what i can do about that or what that is?
A supermoto is supposed to be a dirt bike with street tires that’s why those common things like gas indicator and tachometer aren’t there and it’s about simplicity like you don’t actually need it. It is a track bike the tires that come with it are slicks. The person I bought my 701 from which is 2017 raced my bike. You need to change out your exhaust and get ecu tune it greatly reduce the heat, mine used to literally cook my nuts in 35 c weather. They only way to measure gas is to set your trip to 0 when you fill up and then find out when the gas light comes on. I think large part of being expensive has to with the brembos and full WP suspension but coming from a person who owned a DRZ I feel like 701 just feels like good quality.
Yeah I do agree with pretty much everything you said. The only reason I had these petty complaints is because I also ride a 450smcr. I expect that to have NOTHING, being it’s a literal race bike. But the 701 isn’t in a true race class generally, is on the heavy side and generally a little more street oriented than most supermotos. I had the same complaints with my Panigale V2 for the same reasons. Yes an R6 is a literal race bike and I can understand it missing features.. but me, Ducati and everybody else fully understands a bike like the Panigale V2 will MOSTLY be ridden on the street and leaving off a gas gauge on bikes like this is simply just laziness/cost cutting justified by them being “track” bikes.
haha, forget about my previous questions. Some of your complains reinforced my concerns and I think I'm backburner this idea. I think for the price Duke 890 makes more sense. Ride safe.
@@JonesBrosGarage the drz is very very rare here, and we dont have klx300, we only have klx 150,230,250. still fun bike but i need to buy big bore kit haha
So glad I got the 2018 690 with the real tachometer and gear indicator. I also changed the mapping dial (under the seat) to the advanced setting and it makes it a lot more snappy and responsive on the throttle and shifting. I don’t have any problems with my KTM melting the stock turn signals or anything. Definitely going to upgrade my exhaust for some weight reduction and upgrade the headlight. I don’t think my year has a quick shifter either but I don’t think I’d use it anyway. Looking forward to seeing your upgrades to give me some ideas on things I need.
Gear Indicator and Fuel Fauge should be absolutely mandatory on every street legal motorcycle. Period. One day, moto manufacturers will understand this, and it’s mind blowing that they have yet to reach this obvious conclusion.
There's a catalytic converter inside the exhaust - it has to get extremely hot for it to work right... That's also the reason why it comes lean as shit from the factory or it will not pass EURO5 emission laws. Ditch the exhaust and stock intake and have it dyno-tuned - you'll be amazed.
fuel gauge and gear indicators seriously? Who needs those? all you need is that low fuel warning light. gauges are bound to fail. Being in the wrong gear while cornering should not cause a slip unless you WOT in the middle of cornering. Match that engine brake and throttle control while cornering who dont need to think about what gear you're in.
I'd agree with you assessment of those 5 things w/ 4K on '21. I went Tekmo header/ Arrow muffler/ PCV w/ autotune, emissions delete. Bike is much happier. Tach not such a biggie, but no avg/mpg or gear position indicator? especially w/ the NOTCHY shifting. Fender delete solved turn signals. Seat me'h it's good for a road hr. For me the single biggest improvement was EBC brake pads th-cam.com/video/VJ1FvlFk2yM/w-d-xo.html
How do you like the auto tune? I’ve been looking at my options for tuning and am leaning towards the pcv with auto tune or a Rottweiler map. I agree tach and seat are meh, not a big deal. The turn signals and lights, whatever. I will be doing a cumpan dash assistant. I’ll have to check out the brake pads! Did your front brake make a strange whirling noise from the dealer?
@@JonesBrosGarage Whirling front brake is probably abs. Autotune is noticeable & I run between 3600' & 6100' elev. If not much elevation change, Rott map may be good enough. Though O2 sensor is larger than OEM which is why I went w/ tekmo header vs welding new bung in stock pipe. I ❤ the OEM Conti Attack tires.
@@PowderMonkey4Life ahh I didn’t realize auto tune worked via the O2, that makes sense! I wasn’t planning on doing a header so I’ll really have to decide. And I agree, oem tires are absolutely incredible on this bike!

I have 2021 701, love it but did have catastrophic issues that led to bike requiring replacement.... I had 120kms on the clock, brand new and I lost all power while riding, the bike would start and idle but soon as I put it in gear and clutch out it would bog down and stall, I couldn't work out the issue and put it on a trailer and back to the dealer. Days past and they reluctantly told me the issue - a hardening coating on the cam had somehow seperated from the cam and metalic flakes had made their way through the entire engine. They insisted they would fix it all under warranty but I was not happy about this, I went to the dealership to see the engine in 100 pieces spread accross 2 workbenches and obvious damage everyware... Long story short I told them that it's no longer my bike, I paid for a brand new one and I won't settle for essentially what was going to be a refurbished one, I need a new bike or money back. They gave me the run around for 2-3 weeks so I sent them a letter from a consumer lawyer and 2 days later they had a new bike on a truck comming my way. Obviously this was a huge bummer and disheartening, but, I also accept problems can arise whilst manufacturing, and although the service from the dealer could have been better they did eventually resolve the problem to my satisfaction. The new bike has 3000kms on it now and I love it, keeping my license is going to be a challenge! Arrow exhaust, new levers and mirrors, wrapped it, new headlight and currently looking at air filter options and power commander/firmware tune options. Currently with the new exhaust only 2nd gear wheelies with no clutch is easy, 3rd sometimes at the right rev range, little clutch in 3rd no problems(except for my skill level...). Anyway bumby start to the SM but my favorite bike so far. Edit: I have new seat cover too, highly recommend it, heaps better grip. Also quick shifter for me is fine havnt had a problem but I don't use it often im too used to cluching.
The shortfalls to fit emissions standards and whatnot is getting old. I shouldn't have to buyy a bike then drop another $1k for exhaust and other things. I know the manufacturers are btw a rock and a hard place but sell a model that is legal in places that don't require being so strict.
Every quickshifter/blipper I've ridden needs to be rode hard and does not work well for normal street riding at legal speeds. Personally I don't see the point of these unless your on a track.

@@JonesBrosGarage mod series when? I'm doing Rottweiler's kit - intake, PC and fuel dongle combo with a yoshi slip on. Will let you know how it goes.
@@alf9638 I’m actually debating doing a mod series. I just ordered the cumpan dash and all of the tekmo carbon covers. Plan on doing the same mods as you but either arrow or fmf pipe. Also possibly a gear down, going to change the seat and some other things. Also might add a steering damper
My 701 is from 2020 and if you dont shift sloppy or anything, it works just perfectly for me
Yeah I think I’ll be able to get it sorted out with my dealer. Right now it won’t upshift nomatter what without the clutch
The user manual also has speeds indicated for minimum speeds at which you should use the quickshifter per gear. Never had a problem with it yet
Thank you, you saved me from making a bad decision, you are completely right about everything you mentioned.
Wow. No fuel gauge?! That I didn't know about. Thanks for this.
I’m somebody who really likes a gas gauge which is extremely ironic because I’ve owned TONS of bikes without it.. so at least I’m used to that 😂
@@JonesBrosGarage just got my 600 mile service done on my bike, and found out that the Easy shift system doesn't work like a regular quick shifter. A little diffrent thank a regular quick shifter. hope this helps.
@@Oscar-lh5ls thank you! I’ll get my service and try that out. I might just end up installing the healtech quickshifter anyway but if I just need to let off the throttle a bit that’s fine. i recommend checking out moore mafia for tuning and unlocking all parameters of this bike. surely will do power wheelie at literally any gears
I definitely will be!
My quickshifter works every time as long as im over saaaay 4,000rpm. Its easy to miss shift but you get used to that and be a bit more positive/aggressive with your up shifts
Do you let off the gas at all? I can be anywhere 4,000 to redline and absolutely kick the shifter as hard as I can and it still won’t shift lol
@@JonesBrosGarage Don't kick. Move the shifter lever up or down to full stop and wait for a fraction of second before release. The other option is that you don't have a QS on your bike, just like don't have a gear indicator for some reason...

Bought a 2020 model. Added a Power Commander 6, Rottweiler intake, Cumpan tachometer and gear indicator.
Yep, I've burned my arm pretty badly from my 701SM stock muffler. This was before I swapped it out for a tekmo pipe
*you’re
fair points. seat being uncomfortable and slippery is a big downside for me.
We don’t get the gear indicator or Tac in the US… We have to rely on the aftermarket.
On my 2021 it has a gear indicator? Wonder if they have changed it on the 2022s? Strange!!
That’s extremely strange. Is it a Europe model? If it’s US I guess they got rid of it for 2022. I know some of the older models had a makeshift tachometer too
@@JonesBrosGarage yeah, its a euro5 UK bike.
You’ve just changed my mind on wanting one 😂. I’ll stick with my bulletproof drz400sm
The lack of gear indicator and tach, completely ridiculous.
it is about your preferences.
Yeah but it's not really a supermoto. More like a hypernaked with more upright seating.
It’s a good video I’ve always ridden dirt bikes so for me was easy transition but you point out some things I take for granted
Yes definitely! A tach and gear indicator are much more beneficial on the street than they are in the dirt! 🤟
1st thing - get rid of that muffler to Ti muffler - pretty expensive up to 2000$ if you change header pipe aswell, that engine is begging for good intake and exhaust, it cries for exhaust
2nd thing - get CUMPAN dash - 200$
3rd thing - order EU blinkers or get tail eliminator kit with that nice fancy LED strip, here in EU no cop will bother you because of blinker shape/color only at technical inspection - 150$
4th thing - get MX seat cover with rubber strips - 50-100$
5th thing - get pro shift mod to eliminate false neutrals - 100$
The seat's great! Both enduro and sm bikes are designed for you to move around A LOT, rebalancing constantly. It's not a cruiser.
I've got the same Quickshifter problem on my KTM Duke 390...
Yeah on this bike I think its a “shift assist” so it only works if you let off the gas.. which is odd because you can do that on any bike lol
Seen ALOT people saying that KTM is the best choise? whats ur opinion on that?
They’re pretty much identical for 2020+. Prior to either 2020/2019 not sure which year the ktm was missing the second counter balancer shaft. They now both have identical motors. The husky has a 2 year warranty while the ktm has one. The ktm has a usb charging port while the husky doesn’t. I also believe they have different tires. It really comes down to which color you like if you’re buying new. I prefer the husky and prefer the extra warranty.
They are just the same
If u have to compare the heat issues between the Panigale V2 and the 701, what is the worste?
The stock muffler gets so hot because it has the catalytic converter elements in it and those require heat to work properly. It stays hot for a long time post ride because those elements get so hot, combined with the thickness of the stainless steel, it holds heat longer than thinner walled aftermarket aluminum/Ti/ carbon pipes will.
It melts the stock indicator because the outlet is both before and practically aimed at the indicator… or because of the temperature of the can itself.
The KTM version of the pipe still gets (and stays) just as hot, but the indicator doesn’t get melted because the outlet is better positioned.
Can I just put a slip on on and get rid of the cat/muffler or do I need a tune for that?
I think the confusion comes because a lot of people who owned this bike haven’t had a bike with a real quickshifter so they’re confused when I question how it’s supposed to work
I have a 2022 and the quick shifter works perfectly. Get the update
That’s awesome to hear! I’ll have to ask when I take it to get serviced. I appreciate it. 👍
Everything that needs to be change is literally what the dealer will sell you from the Husky catalog
I ride a 2007 CBR1000RR and depend on my analog tach to know what gear and speed im at. Not having a tach on my 2020 SMCR is frustrating.
Quick shifter only works after fist service, and it works perfectly after that
hello, when you start the motorbike hot, do you hear an engine noise, which passes a few seconds later??
How tall are u? I’m 5’6 and these supermotos like the 690 and 701 seem like they’d be very tall
looking at your valid complaints, and looking at the prices in that country, wont a hypermotard would be right up in your alley?
Thank you for your opinion 🤝 very useful.
@@JonesBrosGarage Sounds great Bro! Would the boosterplug work as good as the software you mentioned or they are diferent things! Thanks a lot bro!
Does this bike have a motorcycle engine instead of a dirt bike?
It's like the manufacturers of SM bikes are trying to see what little they need to include and have much they are able to get away with. They don't seem like consumer products to me, more like stripped down experiments with not even the bare minimum. Almost like a prototype with registration plate. It's not a fully qualified product unless your track racing.
All very fair criticisms and probably put a lot of people off if it's going to be your only bike. Be interesting to see if Ducati's new equivalent fixes all these...
Damn to think I was considering buying from them the 24 model .. but I bet they don’t even fix these issues .
Awesome content ! The driving tips series was a Very well needed INE . Look forward to the build series !

@@caominh2874 thank you! I’ve talked to many people who have the tekmo header with various silencers and tunes and it seems to work really well!

Where are the letters that you pronounce husqvarna not husqavarnia
Gear Indicator and Fuel Fauge should be absolutely mandatory on every street legal motorcycle. Period.
One day, moto manufacturers will understand this, and it’s mind blowing that they have yet to reach this obvious conclusion.
Just get an Akrapovic if the stock exhaust is an issue to you. I wouldn't heat as much and your bike will sound good.
Wow you pretty much talked me out of this bike until they make proper improvements.
Wat r you considering
Need some grip on the seat no lie.
I agree but I bought a one piece suit and actually the leather grips amazingly to it!
The bike is clearly for more experienced riders. They know people are going to mod the bike.
Only bike that melts stuff? I think the 05-06 zx6r exhaust would melt the ecu and cuase the bike to catch fire😂😂😂

KTM's own 390 and 401 have gauges and mileage computers. He's right, they just don't want to redesign the dash to put a different screen in.
As a crf300l rally owner and having ridden a 701/690... The suspension and brakes don't even come close to the husky/Ktm and the cost of upgrading those easily put me in the same price range as one
@@frankfeng6199 full suspension replacement with ohlins remote reservoir is around the 2k mark, leaving approx 8k change from a 690/701
@@thegriffinator5000 you forgot brembo brakes too!
i hear you though
@@frankfeng6199 the rally doesn’t go fast enough to worry about those 😂😂 but hey I would ride any of them and love life
The tach is pretty crappy for a 13K bike.
Huska-varnia --- tf you smoking bro?
Usually crack
@@JonesBrosGarage post more 701 videos bro!
@@axellness will do! I appreciate the feedback. Just be aware this is the second video people made fun of me saying Husqvarna wrong.. so it’s kind of part of the brand now, I realize it’s incorrect but I’m going to have to stick with the good old Husqavournya
@@JonesBrosGarage haha. I dig it
For the money it cost, it's absolut trash and cheap on some sides, like the dashboard. Can't wait to get the new Ducati Supermoto, thats really well made for the same price as this ones
