I love this man, one of the few figures in fashion industry who is unbelievably loyal and strict over his moral beliefs
Oh my gosh, he is amazing; although, it is really disappointing that we applaud simple human decency. As Tim says, "I don't understand it." I do not think Wintour is even relevant today.

I didn't think that I could like Tim Gunn more than I already did. He's so damn awesome for not only being appalled at Anna's behavior but, for also calling her out nationally without being worried about her response. He just doesn't give a single fuck.
+S Kane Strength and Confidence of a woman is not having to respond or giving a fuck. I am sure A.W. didn't loose sleep over this. His 'calling her out nationally' was probably akin to being buried under a pile of papers. a.k.a. unimportant in the grand scheme of things. No limbs were severed, no life threatening illnesses, no one died because of this 'episode'. Grow up and grow an extra inch of skin Tim.
No woman has a right to be rude to anyone just because she's a woman. It's still arrogance and it's definitely neither strength nor confidence, irrespective of gender. Why don't you grow a brain? :)

As far as being ga ga over Gunn, I guess it isn't politically correct to say any gay person isn't just wonderful but the fact is that gays come in good and bad like anyone else. Tim tells women how to dress and looks stuck in 1955. His is a bore who oppresses gay and trans youth by advocating school uniforms based on gender. I met him once. He couldn't have been kinder. He had just left a bridal fashion show. I am a police officer and I dropped my hat. He picked it up and I thanked him and told him I was a fan. He exchanged some stories with me. Nicest celebrity I ever met. A true gentleman.

He's a wonderful example of how a famous person who got there via us commoners remains kind, generous and thankful. She is an unsmiling narcissistic fashion icon that hasn't changed her appearance in 40 years and wears dark glasses to hide her self loathing from everyone.

There speaks a man so full of integrity and class. One has to pity Anna Wintour. Life must be hell if you need to belittle and embarrass someone wanting to greet you with admiration and affection. The fashion world is full of these tyrannical mediocre demigods. Tim Gunn is the epitome of style and grace. He is loved and respected she is loathed.

I'm an overweight, straight, middle-aged ex-jock and I love this guy. I teach HS and used to coach football and wrestling and it's for this reason. He is an exemplar teacher. His guidance during PR (got hooked cause of Heidi and wife) is all about positive coaching with serious detailed feedback. It's all about getting the best out of everyone he meets. Never condescending and beams pure class. Also, I think that if I could get away with it and had the money, I'd dress like him.

Finally someone in fashion isn't afraid to say what's really going on with her. Every professor I had in fashion school were like Anna's bitches. Whether you are a “celebrity” or just a “regular” business leader, what Tim is saying is so brave & more importantly an opportunity for a discussion. Unfortunately most people don’t feel able to offer opportunities for improvement to senior leaders, because they have to worry about retaliation. Thank you Tim. You had this conversation not in “gotcha” mode, but as a person that recognizes rude, demeaning behavior from a leader we would hope for more from.

I watched PR just cos he was on the show.
I met Tim Gunn in an elevator. We were alone. I said hello to him and told him I knew who he was and liked him and his show very much. What a modest, friendly man he is! I always remember our encounter with the warmest feeling. I suspect he is absolutely right about Anna Wintour.
It was my pleasure to meet him several years ago at a book festival. I asked him a question and he was so funny. He always seems so gracious.
Tim Gunn seems like a great human. I've always loved him on Project Runway and thought he was a light. Knowing that he holds others to the same standard is wonderful. Not enough of that on the world.
I saw him walking on the UWS in NYC. He was being chatted up by a fellow nanny (I was a nanny at the time) and just from what I overheard, he was so gracious and interested in them and not once did he make it about himself. I died!
Anna is and always will be the classic, textbook example of the term MEAN GIRL. She wrote the book.

If I were the flight attendant and saw both Tim and Anna on my flight. I would rather approach Anna and ask, "Is that TIm Gunn????!!!!! Can I say hello to him?!" But then again, I probably needn't have to because Tim Gunn would have probably said Hello already. Such a down to earth man.

I once did an internship at a big fashion house in Paris. We were advised very early on that when Anna Wintour would come, nobody was to look at her, especially in elevator situations. A lot of people hate her behind her back but are too scared to tell her for fear of losing their jobs.

Next month, I will have 18 years of service as a flight attendant. Pre-Covid, it was actually required that crew greeted each individual passenger in 1st class by name, introduce ourselves and thank them for flying with us. I feel bad for that flight attendant. She just trying to do her job.
