Until the Empire of Kazaria falls apart, you can forget about getting the county of Abkhazia back for your ally. You don't go to war with the person who conquered it, you have to go to war with all of Kazaria to get it back. You would need an army of at least 7000 to have any hope of winning it back.
@immersioneer maybe the pathforward is to ensure Kazaria breaks up? Is Kazaria a king tier or Emperor tier? Does he have more than 1 son? If so, a well-timed death could make it vulnerable.
We don’t have that many children left though? Although… we have a lot of grandchildren at our court. Does a court tutor benefit all of them? I should have hired that one long ago then :/
@immersioneer yes, court tutor helps all children in the court. Even if they are only your courtiers children and not of your dynasty. The court tutor can improve the likelihood of children at the court getting a good education outcome.
Mistress Romane decided to become a landless adventurer after she lost her titles. But they are indeed strong claims that she has, so Christophoros WILL inherit those claims when she dies. That means, if you raise him, you can press those claims for him. Which you should do, though not until after he is an adult if his mother dies before he comes of age. You will want to make sure he remains in your court. [edit all landless adventurers titles are Duchy tier titles so If you can get yourself named as a Governor, than the lower tier title penalty will go away]
@immersioneer hopefully his mom gives him a good education. Since she has claims, I wonder if she will take the Legitamist camp type? My understanding is you have to have a claim to take that camp type.
Abkhazians are losing the war. Their army is only about 250 soldiers, while the Alan army is approx 1500. They are just engaged in sieging and counter sieging rather than direct battle. The Alan's will lose that war and all because they betrayed you by fleeing the battle rather than jumping in with you.
Yup, I realised that later in the episode - they both have blue coat of arms, so I got confused. We’ll pretend they got lost while crossing the Caucasus. I recorded two more episodes today and you won’t believe what happens next :)
@immersioneer saw that you later figured it out. The dangers of posting as I watch. The trick is to ignore the CoA and look at the color of the number of soldiers. Can't wait to see the next 2 eps!
@immersioneer i don't know. Greek Culture is Male Preference, so she may not be eligible to inherit with so many men around, so the danger might be mitigated on that front. But definitely a spy who doesn't like you is always bad. Especially if you have rivals somewhere (like your former mayor).
You should use your prodigious amount of influence to get appointed to your lieges council. Preferably as his Martial.
Yup, that’s on the agenda.

We are ambitious though :) Gotta dream big :)

It might be too late, but with your mothers high learning, she could make a good Court Tutor.

Yup, we’ll keep an eye on Chris.

loving this!
Just recorded the next 2-3 episodes… you will not believe what happens next! One of the best CK3 playthrough’s I’ve ever had!

a family member who doesn't like you, and is ambitious is not a good person to have as your spymaster!
We can win her over though? I though. She is family and a woman, I don’t think she would gun for the throne… right?

Don't for get you have an unmarried heir to deal with.
Yup, he will be dealt with :)
you should try to use your influence to get some titles for your brothers
Yeah, we will do that, for sure.
