crazy good and that Fahey lesson.....perfect. Adrian, where have you been? Found my way here from a shout out you got from Eric Haugen....i ain't leavin'
That's an expressive little piece. I was born and raised in Austin TX and I know what great acoustic playing sounds like and sir, you are the real deal.
Many thanks Adrian for this piece. It well demonstrates the need for an independent thumb, not like mine that has a mind of its own. I realise after 40years of playing that I have acquired some bad habits that are not so easily corrected. Regards.
Adrian, Thank You for sharing this piece and instructions! I recently broke my ring finger on my fretting hand and required surgery to repair. This is my go to piece for me to start every practice session. I love the tune but I also love the many different facets of playing that are needed to do it well. I don't have it down just yet but every day gets a little better. Please do more if you have the chance. You are a superb player and instructor. Thanks again!
I just now discovered this. Well done, Adrian! This is authentic Delta Blues. Lightnin' Hopkins, Robert Johnson, Mississipi John Hurt, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Big Bill Bronzy, Muddy Waters, and Leadbelly would be proud.
@@Stumpchunkman226 Good call, I won't. Not to mention (but to mention)John Lee Hooker, Blind Willie Johnson, Willie Dixon, Sonny Boy Williamson, Lonnie Johnson, Son House, Skip James, Charley Patton, Jack Owens, Big Joe Williams, Earl Hooker, and Robert Lockwood, Jr.
Run out of good things to say ages ago I think the biggest buzz is whatever you share next. I love it that you jump from genre to genre and have opened my eyes to so many things I wouldn't have even thought of Thanks again.
Such a great piece to learn and practice on and I really appreciate your teaching style and approach. Thank you so much. You are an incredible musician.
Keeping thumb and fingers independent is pretty tricky as you say especially if like me you've never done a shuffle blues pattern. Shouldn't take long to get it though. Love how this one takes you all over the fretboard; helps me get more familiar with the licks and chord shapes that can be mined in a given key. Thanks a lot!
A nice piece Adrian, not my cup of tea but a valuable lesson for anyone who is trying to find some solid foundation in the blues. Quality as always 😎🎙🎸✅
I love this lesson. I am brand new at this sort of piece, so this has been very educational for me. If anyone here knows where I can find more like this, please let me know!
I really like this lesson a lot it reminds me of your Robert Johnson Style Blues video lesson they’re both played at a nice pace. I signed up to your Patreon account I certainly hope I downloaded the correct PDF for this lesson. Keep up the good work.
Trying to learn this awesome piece. Thx for teaching it! It’s a good challenge for me. Question for you...do you have a lesson to show how to play the shuffle pattern with your thumb but triplets with your fingers. I’m stuck on this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx again!
This is my sixth attempt to move beyond the first step, and I refuse to give up, despite the excessive talk and my inability to see where the fingers are going (these challenges make our lives more difficult)
This is great! I've loved your finger style pieces, and I'd just been wanting to go beyond your "Robert Johnson style" piece. (I just realized I should tackle Devil Got My Woman, although that looked pretty intimidating last time I looked at it!)
Please can you tell me the model of the you are playing Adrian. It seems to give easy access to the higher notes on the fretboard without having a cutaway.
i love how you start up the cats behind you before each lesson and the lights too btw-i emailed you about how the inky depths singer ,you?, reminded me of Emitt Rhodes- and he died a few days later! has a vibrant Facebook page i must say!
Great guitar playing as always. I've just seen Johnny Marr put up his own tutorial of HeadMaster Ritual. An your tutorial video is completely perfect, flawless. What process did you take to learn it??? I really want to be able to figure things out myself. Rather than hoping your gonna do a tutorial for every Smiths song. So yeah, any chance you could break down how you learnt HeadMaster Ritual. Also, probably not your bag, But the latest Harry Styles album is suprisingly a great guitar record. You should check it out, sounds really fresh and the guitar is extremely clever. Just to make you aware. You have the best guitar channel on youtube. You actually get the songs right, meaning how the original is played, rather than a similar. If you were to put the right songs out, you would take over the whole of youtube. That wasn't advice, because your channel is great regardless. Just thought I'd give you some perspective from someone who just found your channel. Top quality channel
This Dude is my Hero, the world needs more like him.
1000%
I don't know why he's not at 1 million

Cheers Gerald!

Houston here ! Adrian is great isn’t he!?
That chromatic run around 9:30, that is exactly the nuanced colour needed! Thanks!
I agree. This was the part that interested me as well. Something new to work into the tool box.
Nice one - Love when you do the blues and non accompaniment lessons.
Top lesson mate, I'll get stuck into it this weekend, thanks

Nice one Adrian. Love all the acoustic blues stuff. Your lessons have brought my playing on so much. Cheers mate.
That's good to hear, cheers Anthony!
Smooth! Like that first turnaround!

My favourite Martin! Great song! Trying this finger style. That metronome thumb is hard
Beautiful piece, Adrian. Congrats!
From Denmark: Simple and beautiful. Thx a lot, my favourite teacher.

Love it Adrian, Anyone who wants to play blues should learn to play a piece like this to understand where blues came from.
Thanks Adrian 👍

Thanks a lot. Very well taught as always. A new solo blues piece to work on :-)
Such a great piece to learn and practice on and I really appreciate your teaching style and approach. Thank you so much. You are an incredible musician.
Nice work, Adrian. That second bit is more challenging, I'm a better guitar player than I was at the beginning of the lesson. Thank you so much.
Great lesson. Really enjoyed the Robert Johnson lesson you did a while back.
Thanks Anthony! This one would make a good follow up to the Robert Johnson lesson I think.
A real fun one friend. Thanks. You do a good job helping those that play have some real fun!
Keep up this fantastic work. It's really challenging for me, but just what I want and need. Thanks from England 🇬🇧

I’d LOVE LOVE LOVE for you to do a tutorial for Reptile by The Church!
I fucking love this guy! Aside from the outstanding guitar work there's some cheeky innuendo just sneaking through at all times.
Love your channel and your instructional vids man! Keep em coming!
Another great lesson! Thanks so much!
Great piece, thanks 🙏
Thank you !!! Love it.
Great song, thanks so much for this one!!!
This is my favorite style of playing, so many ways to play it and improvise! Thanks, Adrian. What kind of beautiful guitar is that btw??

The cat was rocking out in time!
Hi Adrian love your site and your playing. Is it possible to download and print tabs for your guitar pieces?
Nice! Subscribed.

Excellent.
Because you're frightened, Magazine please or Ventures 2000 pound bee or both. John Mcgeoch is my favourite guitar man.
What are you on about man? Totally irrelevant comment.
@gaz look it up. bad ass guitar player, bad ass song, bad ass band. He is asking for some quality instruction.
Gold !
Easy when you've got a little cat helping you to keep time
Just found your great channel. If you take suggestions, Id love to see a tutorial for Age of Consent
Yes, nice request. No promises but will see what I can do.
Great stuff, any chance of more smiths or stone roses to come?
Please can you tell me the model of the you are playing Adrian. It seems to give easy access to the higher notes on the fretboard without having a cutaway.
This guy is good 🇮🇪🇮🇪🎸🎸🎸🍺
