      The "fear" that Biden would lose to Trump is highly rational.
      Unfortunately, no one is conducting "head-to-head versus Trump" polls that include the potential candidates who would be most likely to defeat Trump: independent candidates such as Liz Cheney or Larry Hogan. One of them could assemble a large anti-Trump coalition, if no Democrat is on the ballot to split the coalition.

    I hear a lot about polls. When was the last time polls were correct? Relying on faulty polling, leaving out large swaths of people who don’t answer unknown numbers, employing push polls … what correct polls are you talking about?

    • @brothermine2292
      @brothermine2292 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Pollsters understand how to adjust the numbers to compensate for groups who answer the telephone less. The real problem with polling accuracy is due to uncertainty about who is likely to vote.
      Polls should definitely be used to figure out who has the best chance to defeat Trump. Unfortunately, the polls have been asking only about potential Democrat candidates. They haven't asked about potential independent candidates, such as Larry Hogan or Liz Cheney, who could probably assemble a larger anti-Trump coalition than any Democrat can.

      When you follow the money, it’s the billionaire donors who are causing the down ballot democratic candidates to freak out. I’ve been asking myself why? Is it because President Biden plans to ‘finish the job started’? He is going to force them to pay their fair share of taxes.

    Best to stick with Biden. Not a perfect candidate but incumbency is very important. For example even Harris would have to defend against a huge mud raker offensive. Then a huge party contest circus is always bad for the party holding the white house. This isn't just me saying this, Allan Lichtman's keys to the white house with a near perfect record, has those as the first two keys. The point might be moot though, Biden's campaign knows well the keys and has indicated he'll stay in. It would still be possible for the Democrats to win with a newbie, but much LESS likely.

      Biden is being perceived as a corpse.. I’m sorry, he cannot take the fight to Trump, in no way has he made us feel better since the debate. It sad but true! I felt so deceived watching it felt like they have been hiding how bad off he is. And I’m getting more and more angry at Biden for being stubborn and staying in. If ALL the top Dems who I trust are calling him to step aside it means something. They are not just turning on Biden, NO ONE wants to be in this position. And I blame Biden and his team for letting it get this far. He needs to bow out, I truly believed Kamala can win this. Hillary won 3 mil more votes. And she was majorly hated (unfairly) because she had been attacked for 25 years. I think there wld be so much excitement around Kamala by the youth and women and it wldnt be crazy because she IS THE VP! It makes the most sense
      And she can prosecute the case against Trump. The she issue completely goes away and lands back on Trump. She doesn’t get all the Gaza baggage. They can pick an exciting VP. She’s been vetted nationally no one else has.

    • @tschorsch
      @tschorsch 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@hollyschitt No, Bernie and AOC know that the reasons why the centrist Democrats are doing this is not because they're worried about winning, but because they think it's in their long-term personal interests.
