That's great to hear! It's a big year for mine this year as I've got lots on the go and doing a pretty significant restore/refresh of mine. I've got lots of videos shot, I just need to edit them and get them up on this channel. Enjoy your C3....all C3s are awesome.

I'm in the thinking of buying a 1977 that has been sitting for 20 years. Your videos are extremely helpful. Keep them coming!!

Thanks, will do! Thank you for your comments. I have lots more to do. It actually takes me much longer to edit and produce these videos than it does to do the actual work. Lol.

I have a 2014 vette. I'm 68, El Paso, tx. I enjoyed your video. I just replaced upper and lower radiator hose at dealership. Cost me about $430. Ouch. I wasn't happy with that.

Wow, pretty expensive! most of the cost is for labor in most cases which I support 100%, especially ofr those hard to do at home repairs. I'll be replacing my core support in the Spring 22 and that will open up an entire can of worms. Can't wait.

Easier and cheaper way would be to take the pan to a self service car wash they usually have a engine degreaser and or tire cleaner setting and a hot water high pressure soap setting, spray with engine degreaser then use your parts cleaner brush, then hit it with hot high pressure soap, better than buying 2 cans of Gunk and a bottle of biodegradable cleaner, plus you don't ruin your concrete and grass, you also should have left your drain plug in and painted it, that's what GM did when it was painted at the factory. Your job turned out real nice

That's a great idea and I'm sure I'll have more jobs like this to do. Plus, I live super close to a self service car wash..so that is what I will do next time. Totally agree with you 100%

Thank you for the video! Could you tell please what type of primer is it? Is it special for engine or it can be regular for metal? Specific for high temperature?

Part three is on the way. I've been working a lot under the C3 and needed the oil pan off while I did the other work. Thanks for watching and for your support. J

Blue for the L48, orange for the early L82 ?

I think you are correct. Personally, I like the Orange, but mine is blue, so I'm going with that color. Turned out to be a nice refresh of the original oil pan and I'm happy with that. More videos to come

The last of the orange engines were built in August of 1976. After that they were all blue. L48 and L82. So very early production vettes in 1977 would have orange engines but after some time in October the orange engines were all gone and they would all be blue from then until GM went to black.
