I wish you guys would bring back the workshop content. I know the more popular you guys get, the more busy you get, I just love to here your ideas and thought process.
Hey guys, I love listening to these formats. I think it's great information when you all revisit either hunts or in this case the class format you had. Can I ask what your gear set up is for doing these live feeds or if you could provide links to them? Thanks again and great video.
Here down in Oklahoma ant to bad it’s hard to hunt I posted on last post saying you all should try out the State. It’s more like a ground hunt in some spots cuz of all the small trees but I work the creek beds and stuff really fun
If you hunt enough in the deep south, you'll notice how high strung and flighty deer are in comparison to mid west deer. Long seasons and hunting pressure doesn't fully explain it. Even in counties which prohibit deer dogs they are still noticeably more on edge.
After moving to the south from the far north this can’t be more true. I grew up hunting deer that probably never even seen a person miles from the nearest back road and they don’t really mind a person at first they look and sniff and then decided if they want to run. The Costal Carolinas I hunt with dog pressure I am seeing deer run through the woods before they could even spot my tree stand with wind blowing away from them
Great podcast guys. I really enjoyed th actual scouting videos. I'm ready to pester some Turkeys now. I know you guys are too. Film us up some good ones. Good luck hunting guys. Thanks for sharing your hunts with your fans.
My issue I find down south, especially in East Texas, is that tracts are so broken up that there is so much “edge” habitat deer are just extremely spread out.
-enjoyed it very much guys. I hunt in a big hunting club below Auburn, Alabama and even though it is good habitat, about 7 years ago the hog population exploded. I'm afraid they mess with the deer's bedding and as a result they bounce around with their bedding a lot more. Do you guys at the hunting public have any experience or suggestions on this. Our deer numbers have gotten lower too as the the deer will tolerate them but don't like being around the hogs. Thanks
I hunt 300 acres in Macon county with 3 other guys. We have declared all out war on the hogs lol. I don’t think our deer numbers have gone down, but the hogs will run deer off, and they tear up the land. We’ve killed 38 hogs in the past 4 months and I don’t think we’ve even put a dent in the population. After turkey season we plan to start trapping the nasty things
Thanks for the reply. I.ve never seen anything like it with these hogs. There are 3 times as many hogs and hog sign as deer . I think the only way to get it under control now is with sodium nitrate. The state was almost ready to approve it but in their testing, some song birds fed off the residue from the residue of the hogs mouths and it killed them. The state had ground troughs that were spring loaded with 25 lbs of pressure and only the hogs could lift them. Predators can consume them after they die with no ill effects. Hopefully in the near future they will legalize it !
Danny Weeks they will never legalize poisoning hogs. I believe if everyone started trapping and killing hogs we might could get ahold on these things. Only problem is that takes time and Money.
You're probably right. We've got a number of traps that are no longer being used. I think as you said, the time factor eventually got to them. We are able to hunt some privately owned land and the landowners have 3 huge crop fields. Last year they put a 3 foot electric fence around the whole place and it has keep the hogs out. But again very expensive
scott, they make pretty good money... one of my friend from over seas has only 5k subscribers and less than 30k viewers and about 30 videos and he makes $500 a month, he even showed it on you-tube what he made a month ...these guys are banking and from their numbers of subscribers and views, i think they make around 1-3k my guess... they would have their own career on the side too.
Great podcast! I’ve been hunting Alabama since the early 90’s. It’s tough in the South, but I was impressed with the aggressive approach y’all took here. A few more steps and that buck would’ve been Zach’s. I’ve got to get that aggressive again!
THP- I have been hearing you all say that you all setup extra early to get a chance at a buck on the way back to bedding. I have read some info from Dan and thebhubting beast that said its very difficult to beat the mature bucks back. What are the factors that help you determine if it's a good place to sit in the morning?
Man I have learned so much from watching y’all videos. I am nothing but a public land hunter. Just got into bow hunting this year. I really wish y’all would come down to Oklahoma and check some public land around where I live.
Hey Guys love the info Y'all give.I am in August co Va.I went to the property that I hunt Saturday morning and listened to the Gobblers they were singing the song got my heart pumping come on April
Hey Zach when you were in Ohio and hunting in those CRP grass fields what public land was that,I live in Cincinnati and my family loves to rabbit hunt and it's dead around here, coyote problems,it looked like great rabbit habbitat , well you walked the shit out of it did you see any, thanks
If you ever think about hunting New Jersey look into Allaire state park beautiful woods oaks and laurels and a river which runs around the portion you can hunt with a ton of hunting pressure and monster bucks you can also camp in the park I believe it’s 10 to 15 dollars a night
While it’s not hunting season, and while we are all board nuts, I have a personal question for all of y’all, and I know it’s not fair to ask those kinds of questions on here but , maybe this will be a lot of fun for you guys , and be quite entertaining to all of us. At the end of the day, and at the end of all of you guys hard days and sleepless nights , what will THPs line up of guys relationships be like between each other ,,, like brothers,,,,like just other workers at a regular job,,,,, or do you think that there is no bond between the group THP and each other. I know this is a little off the wall , but I can’t help than believe that I ,,,am not the only one who wonders. Just remember this guys , I promise that I won’t be mad if,,,you don’t answer because I feel that this might just be a little unfair.
you guys have the best bow hunting channel on TH-cam by far. It's hard to even watch other channels of the same guys hunting over the same food plots over and over again
Defense WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS!!!!!! But I’m also a 3 yard and a cloud of dust type also Sooo 🤣 bring on the long beards Btw when I have hunted those THICK pines I alway look for what I always call a “super highway “ and the the intersections of major “super highways”. And set up in those
Yall should hunt Aransas NWR in South Texas.
Best hunting Channel on TH-cam
Hands down the best, simplest, 100% most effective “Southern deer hunting strategy” - save up enough money to go hunt up in Iowa
I wish you guys would bring back the workshop content. I know the more popular you guys get, the more busy you get, I just love to here your ideas and thought process.

Wake up Ted! Your new name is Mr. Sniffles !
What’s a hard transition line?
I just ordered the deer tour shirt!! Please come to TN
Do all of you have careers/jobs? How are you able to travel/hunt so much? Any trips planned for Oklahoma this year?
scott, they make pretty good money... one of my friend from over seas has only 5k subscribers and less than 30k viewers and about 30 videos and he makes $500 a month, he even showed it on you-tube what he made a month ...these guys are banking and from their numbers of subscribers and views, i think they make around 1-3k my guess... they would have their own career on the side too.
They own/are a video production company. That's their bread and butter. Also explains why their videos are so well done
They have videos in the past talking about their jobs... they do property management plans for people and stuff like that... entrepreneurs for sure.

I really like the podcasts. Very helpful
Transition lines = edge
Deer are edge creatures if you can find a place where three different habitats come together, hunt it!
I need to have more youtube accounts so I can subscribe more times. I will get started on that, today.

I just got back from scouting for turkey in northwest Mississippi. I saw about 25 turkeys on a sandbar on one of the rivers.
When are you going to do a class in Arkansas and where and what would be the cost
not sure yet. We'd like to do one soon but the schedule is full.

Didn't see many rabbits. A lot of guys from out of state were hunting the grassy areas with dogs.
I love the new THP grey hat I got!
Thanks Tim!
Did Ted have a few Arnold Palmer's before this?!? He actually talked...
If you ever think about hunting New Jersey look into Allaire state park beautiful woods oaks and laurels and a river which runs around the portion you can hunt with a ton of hunting pressure and monster bucks you can also camp in the park I believe it’s 10 to 15 dollars a night
I shot a buck this year on a transition line between 6 year old cutover and 2 year old pine thicket like what you described
