    I've had my set for 2 years, absolutely love it. It has seen some continuous use for cleaning showers and tubs (on occasion) and I've found that when power scrubbing continuously with a brush, by time one battery dies, the other is already charged so there is no down time.
    I love this set and have never regretted the 100 i paid for it!

    As an electrician ...I spend a lot of time doing overhead work on A ladder. The 20V drills and impacts can weigh you down over time. I bought this little set to test and they are less bulky and easier to handle ....LOVE THEM ! Highly recommend for this type of tedious work....especially when you don't need the extra weight and power just to screw in 1 hole conduit straps or light fixtures etc.

      I agree! They are lighter and they take up less room on your tool belt.

    I was on the fence about purchasing this set after I saw it on sale. I've used other Bosch tools like staplers and things but never power tools. I appreciate how detailed this video was, thank you for taking the time to make it!

    FINALLY!! A useful review for these type of drills. I've been looking in to a drill and not been sure if I should go for an 18v or 12v.
    Thank you kindly good sir!

      I opted for the 12V because it was a little more compact and a little easier to work in cabinets with. Also, it shares batteries with my standard compact drill and impact driver.
      Also, thanks for the kind words! I often wonder if I'm really going the right direction with my videos.

    I agree with your assessment of the 12 volt Bosch tools. I like their size and weight and the fact that most tasks can be completed using the 12 volt batteries. Bigger jobs I use a 20 volt tool. Thanks for your step wise approach to assess the Bosch tools/batteries!

      I find that I use these tools about 95 of the time. My old 18V mostly hangs on the wall and gathers dust. By the way, thanks for watching the video.

    you have no idea about this stupid soft case has frustrated me when I initially tried to put everything back together in the case! Thank You so much.... should rename the video just to let others know!

    • @deerparkhomeshop2471
      @deerparkhomeshop2471  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's why I told my viewers to take a picture first so you will know how to get everything back in the case. I don't know if you watched my video on the 12v angle drill, but they use the same case, and they probably use it for a number of other small tools whether they fit well or not. Also the zippers tend to break with use over time. I chunked the case and made holders for them to hang on my tool wall. Thanks for commenting.

    Funny you mention the picture thing, exactly what I came for, is that how it came? I opened it, didn't take a picture had no idea ho to put them back, and every picture online has a different configuration which means no one else knows either.

    • @deerparkhomeshop2471
      @deerparkhomeshop2471  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's a ridculously tight fit. You can pause at the 1.33 min. mark in the videofor a good look at how it's packed. But I don't bother with the case. I hang mine on the wall, or if I take them with me to job, I put them in a larger tote with other tools.

    The hand grip looks kind of big and clunky on these. I know you said you have big hands so probably not an issue for you. How does the grip compare to your Dewalt? I have a bunch of Ryobi tools so I will probably just buy the compact ryobi drill as it is a little bit shorter then the Bosh 12v drill.

    • @deerparkhomeshop2471
      @deerparkhomeshop2471  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Ryobi makes sense, if it has enough power, since you could share batteries with your other tools. I have a Craftsman compact also. It, the Bosch, and the Dewalt all have about the same size grip. My thumb and middle finger overlap a bit over 1/2" when I grip the drill.

  • @ProfSimonHolland
    @ProfSimonHolland ปีที่แล้ว +1

    bosch call the drill....a drill/impact. does it have a hammer impact function? also they have a hammer drill setting on the drill...how well does that work?

    • @deerparkhomeshop2471
      @deerparkhomeshop2471  ปีที่แล้ว

      The impact driver I reviewed does not have a hammer function nor does the drill. The drill does have an icon for driving screws which requires lower speed and higher torque. That could possibly be confused for a hammer icon if you are looking at a picture on line. However, my set was purchased in 2020, so they may have added this function since then. One word to the wise here. Hammer drills are usually used for drilling holes in masonry and are much more effective than a drill or an impact. They really need to be beefier though. Light duty drills with hammer functions are usually not very effective for this purpose. Hope this answers your question and thanks for watching the video.
