I have been watching a ton of videos on Dewalt cordless tools recently and none of them have explained the tools in a way you do giving me the little details and information i want to hear. I have subscribed, keep up the good work!!
I bought one of those “Christmas special” toolkits where the tools are only sold during Black Friday and Christmas. Cheap tools for sure. Now I know what I need and what to look for in tools.
DCD999 Flexvolt Advantage is the most powerful, top of the line drill they make and technically not an XR model. Similar to the DCD998, both are an upgrade from the 996 supposedly. The 2nd gen atomic impact, dcf850 is the best impact they've released in my opinion and it's an XR model in the UK (opposed to the dcf845). Historically, you're correct regarding the XR models. Dewalt has made some changes over the last 2-3 years.
I was looking at buying a Ryobi combo kit. It came with an angle grinder, drill driver and jigsaw with batteries. I settled on buying just one hammer drill for the same price, with the difference being that it had much higher output than the drill and a better construction (metal chuck, side grip). Luckily they had a promotion on any item over €130 being gifted an item, and I went for their (budget) multi-tool. I have no use for a jigsaw or angle grinder, and I know the low power drill would've upset me very quickly. These deals might be good for someone who very occasionally needs to use a power tool and doesn't mind it taking a bit longer or being somewhat cumbersome.
That is not true. I have to replace yet another drill this morning due to premature failure. I’m on my 8th or 9th dewalt drill in 6 years lol and yes I buy the XR models. The best models for drills I’ve used are the dcd996 and dcd999. Gone through lots of impacts too
@@scotthill4742I've had brushed Ryobis that have lasted longer than Milwaukee drills .. If you've gone through 6 xr drills maybe you need a lesson on how to use tools .
Extended Runtime not extreme and XR does not mean brushless. Its just another they will fool you to buy an inferior tool. Dont buy Kits they will have crappy tools in them. Buying black and yellow will make you a mad fellow.
This kit has tools I use every day and they are all high end tools. If you buy a kit on sale at a big box store, those usually have lesser quality tools. That is why I dug and found this kit.

I'm happy you found it helpful and sorry I didn't see your comment for a long time.
Impressive video, was shocked to see you have a modest view count, deserves multiples more!

My wife almost bought me one of those once. I'm glad she asked me first.
@@TwistedToolboxwhat are “those”…?
@@Zaprixa Brushed tool that are cheap.
This was so helpful! I got this kit for Christmas and I can’t wait to get started on my projects!!!!!
How are your projects coming along?
Feeling a little intimidated by the circular saw! I guess I have to jump out there! Thanks for asking!
I want to take some wood work classes!
Way to go sir great video really helpful on all the breakdowns of each tool Thank you
Thanks again Jack.
The cool thing is DeWalt still offers this same kit.
Great tip! Thanks for breaking this down. Blessings!
You’re welcome Matthew. ~ Steve

Thanks, since I bought these tools over 4 years ago, there have been some updates to the product line.

Very good points, not everyone needs high performing tools and can save money on tools with less features.
Great video thank you
I’m glad it was helpful.
Is atomic line brushless?
I believe they are, however, I don't own any of the Atomic line to know for certain.
Great vid
Thanks, I’m glad you found it helpful.
How much is the cost of that kit,am in Nairobi Kenya, how can I get it
The link to the tool kit is in the video's description. If Amazon delivers in your location, you can purchase it through the link.
Awesome!
I have really loved your expoxy
There are no low spec Dewalt tools ,they are all pro grade.

K there pal
What do you do to your tool? I use mine almost daily and bought this kit in late 2019. All mine tools still work fine.
I’m not entirely sure how badly dewalt sucks presently-but recent history says that they have a serious vacuum problem.
I've been beating up my Dewalt tools for years and haven't had an issue. They may not be for everyone, but I haven't found a better option.
Good shit

So avoid this set?

Is this a scam😢
Nope, it is a product review though.
