The squeeze bottle would need a vent or an air hole to flow thru to the other side.
Very clear and specific instructions. Thank you
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
I will try this later today thank you so much
Hope it works as good for you as it did for me. All of my cable ties are still holding tight.
what size is that bigger spring, would you mind to share the specs so I can but at the local hardware store?
it's 3/8" wide X 2" long. Not sure what gauge the coil is. I bought the strongest one they had.
I have this one. Gonna get started Wednesday
Great! Hope it works out good for you.
I did everything you did. But my pieces of wood is a little thicker than yours. I put a fishing swivel in the rod because the rod is so small I had to be careful to only get the little hole not the to split the rod. The swivel is in the rod. But it doesn’t go around. What can I do to make it spin.
You know, I used some off brand swivels from Walmart and they don't spin very well. You get what you pay for. Should have stuck with Eagle Claw. Also, I now use two swivels instead of one, and if the swivel you are using is too small, it won't turn as well.
Thank you✌🏼
And thank you for watching!
I think your video demonstration on this is better than the manufacturers. I was struggling like most people from the get-go and couldn't figure out what the hell I was doing wrong until I watched your video. Thank you
Yes. The manuals are always sketchy these days. When I do one of these tool profiles, I consider it my mission to adequately explain how to use it. Thanks for your comment.
Thank you very much! This is super useful for my project
Glad it helped and thanks for watching?
I have a Simpson 15” rotary attachment. I got about an hour of use out of it before it was leaving swirls. Switched back to the wand and 25 degree tip. Will try your maintenance fixes and see if it works again. Of course I lost the cleaning wire.
The Simpson should be a good one. I'd be interested to know if your maintenance fixes work.
Great video! Thank You!! ❤
Glad you enjoyed it. Appreciate you watching!
Thank you for the helpful soaker hose repair tips. Do I measure the inside diameter of the soaker hose for the correct sized brass barb fitting? For example my hose outside diameter is 1/2 inch-should I measure the inside diameter for correct fit?
If the outside measures 1/2" OD, the ID will probably be between 3/8' and 1/4" depending on the wall thickness of the hose. Usually when you buy a hose rated at 1/2", that will be the actual ID. New hoses are more flexible and a 1/2" OD hose will probably stretch enough to accept a 3/8" barb. Mine were old and brittle, and the 1/4" plex tube worked much better. Thanks for your comment.

I saw that formula on another video and they recommended using cotton balls and put them around. I did that and slowly, but surely there are less ants going on those cotton balls. I did put the cotton balls on small pieces of wax paper. I like what you did is use a bottle cap or maybe some other very small container. Thanks for the formula and the idea. It does work!
I haven't seen the cotton ball technique. I guess they saturated the balls with a sugar/boraxo solution?
@@deerparkhomeshop2471 yes! I put several in a jar with the lid and I switched them out. I sent my sister your video! thanks again!
@@annw-fitz4412 Thank you and appreciate the headsu p about the cotton balls. I may try that next time.
Good tips. I ended up using 5-min epoxy to glue the bracket to my Shepard's pole. Do you have any experience with the "torpedo" style baffles? I'm not sure why you'd use one over the other. But those seem quite popular as well.
I have to apologize. I responded over a week ago, but I must not have clicked the send button. To answer your question, I don't see a problem with the torpedo baffles, as long as the bottom rim is 60" from the ground. That's how high a squirrel can jump and they are very good at figuring things out. A running start and a jump is all it takes for baffles positioned to close to the ground. I'm not sure how effective they are if you position them over the top of your feeder though, like when the feeder hangs from a tree or overhead support. Good thinking on the epoxy!
Thank you for sharing your process. How many linear feet is the fence and how many hours did it take from start to finish?
I did about 60 feet of fence, and it took a little over two weeks, but remember, I was filming a video at as I painted, so set up, takes, retakes, and etc. caused it to take a lot longer than it normally would. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the tips. I have several I want to take out and keep putting it off.
Glad it was helpful. I have a couple more I need to pull out, but I'm going to do it in the fall.
I've only used the stabil, and was just about to try the squeeze bottle... But now I think I'm good with stabil lol!
Don't blame you!
You love it now,as I did when it was new, but you’ll hate it later. Craftsman quality has sunk. Plastic junk.
So I guess you are having problems with yours? How long have you had it?
How is your fence holding up now? Any updates?
So far so good. There is no visible rust and no "sign of rust growing under the paint, but I wouldn't anticipate that for, hopefully, another 10 years.
@@deerparkhomeshop2471 how many years do you roughly think it will last
@@simpatico.official I'm hoping for 15+ years.

Thank you this was so helpful! We just cleaned our patio and have rust stains that need to go. I’ve got the Bar Keepers Friend so I’m going to give it a try.
Thank you! BK's Friend is one of our favorite cleaners. Very versatile.
So what you think about this, I'm turn i can get this for 150 or a fit for 300 both used in good shape, thanks
Sounds like a good deal.
Thanks for making this video! It's just what I was looking for: comparison of several cleaning products, including "all natural" homemade ones!
I'm glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for watching!
What type of blade do you use on your saws all??
I used an 6" fine tooth metal blade to cut through the nails. If you're cutting through bthe timber itself, an 8" standard wood blade works fine.
You machine came with a lot of bells and whistles.
It does have some really effective attachments. I thought it was a pretty good value for $400.00.
Thank you for this quick fix! My children keep banging my chair into my table with my lamp and it's driving me crazy. Happy I can lock the swivel function temporarily until they get a bit older.
Glad it worked for you! The nice thing about using the cable ties is that it is reversible.
i wonder if you can melt the hose with a heat gun or torch and not use the clamps
I've never done that or seen it done, but that doesn't mean it can't be done. I think rubber hose might burn before it melts, but it might work with plastic hose. If you try it, let me know how it turns out.
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching!
this is like watching my papa explain something to me, hes long since passed now but dang this video is comforting to watch
I'll take that as a wonderful compliment! My Dad got me started on the path to being a handyman. Thanks for taking the time to watch my video.
Im not the only one then. I tried and tried and nothing. I bought the spray bottle instead ❤
Yes, I think there are a lot of folks in the same boat!
Now this is a great video. You actually do some editing and you also do voiceover. That’s what I wish more. TH-camrs would do instead of trying to listen to you talk 10 feet away among a lot of noise.
Well, I would like to say I'm really creative and talented with voice overs, but the truth is that I had to learn to do it because I can't remember my lines. It's much easier to do the voice overs. Many other youtubers are naturals when it comes to their dialog. I'm not. Sometimes I do 30 min. of film to get 3 min. of good content. Thank you for your comments and for watching my video.
Thanks for being here! Can you recommend a glue that’s strong enough to hold the velcro pad on? Mine has come off. The pad on the detail “finger” attachment has come unglued as well. Any help is appreciated! 😊 Christie B
No. When my velcro let loose, I noticed that the stuff under it was starting to dry rot so I replaced the whole thing for about $16.00. They do make self stick velcro sheet replacements which are much cheaper, but I haven't tried them. Both are available on amazon. Try searching "black and decker mouse sander pads".
Question, I’m looking to removing about 9 shrubs, three are the knockout rose variety, not sure of the other 6 but seemingly just your typical green shrubs. But I was wondering what would I need to do to the soil once I remove them. I want to plant new boxwoods in the rear and possibly some petunias in the front. Also, is there a timeframe I would need to wait before planting
First, let me say that I am much better at removing shrubs, than planting them, but most things I plant survive. I try to reuse as much soil that came out of the hole and mix that about 3 to 1 with compost. I also like to use the appropriate amount of root stimulator. Best time to plant is in the spring. Actually, boxwoods are very sturdy, low fuss plants here in Houston (Zone 9 -10). A lot may depend on where you live, so you may want to search for instructions specific to your area or zip code. Here is a boxwood planting link: www.thespruce.com/how-to-plant-boxwoods-4777363
First, I like to say thanks for responding. Yes, I myself have really never really planted anything either, but I have removed a shrub before and the soil seemingly turned into clay and I just didn’t want that to happen to the front of my home with these shrubs. I’m in Alabama, and with the beginning of summer if feels as though we’re in zone 9 but I think I’m in 8. But, thanks for the advice I’ll definitely use it.

I bought this exact model for $230 back in 2020… right before the lockdown. It’s a good machine if you are willing to put the time into using it. I have a pair of 55lbs adjustable dumbbells that I can combine this machine with. I also have a stationary bike I bought online for well under $200. I have everything I need
It sounds like you have a good routine. This is my second total gym. I joined a gym years ago, and foolishly sold my old one. Now I am back to it.
How is this model flimsy wide is it pretty stout, I can buy one of these for 150 or a fit for 300, thanks
@@dannywalker6279 It's sturdy for the price. The more expensive models are, of course, beefier. I'm over 200 lbs. and It doesn't sag or otherwise seem stressed by my weight. All of the frame and hardware are made of steel. I tested all the parts with a magnet to make sure of this. While the pulley housing is made of steel, the pulley itself is made of plastic, as are the adjustment knob, the caps on the leg ends, and the rollers on the seat. Also the squat attachment is plastic with steel legs. Hope this helps.
