I love what you did with this piece! I’m so glad you painted the body and left the wood to show on the top. You seem to be able to sense just what a piece wants! Must be psychic. 😁
Gorgeous Rachelle, 🤍♥️ I do love me some Hamptons. You’ve given this old 90’s girl a new lease on life 😉 love the stencil too 🤍 My latest piece is a 3 drawer chest in dark grey and white. Came up beautifully.
WoW, I want summer back and I want this piece of furniture!! It is very snazzy and screams white wine at the beachside watering hole! The linen & fluff are perfect. I love this piece!! Oh and I meant to tell you I love your new opening.🌷🌷
Really took the dated country cabinet to a whole new level! I don’t know how I missed this video from 8 months ago. It looks so new and refreshing, which is your signature style!
I love it. The stencil looks fab. Love the colour. I’m away from my projects for a week. Unavoidable. I’m lost without them, but on the up side, they’ll be hit with fresh ideas when I get back! Winning. 😃
Awesome thanks! I was put off this colour by the product photo because it looks nothing like the actual colour! I only ordered it because I saw someone else use it. Glad I did! :)
I love this piece. I have used French Linen and it's one of my favorite neutral colors. The stencil is beautiful. I recently did a small cabinet in Dixie Belle Juniper. I love the dark sage green color and I put a sunflower transfer on the lower corner of the door. Thanks for a great makeover video !!
Oh my word I'd love to see that! I'm really hoping they bring Juniper into their permanent range because it's definitely up there in my top 5 colours! Feel free to DM me pics over on insta please! :)
I love how this turned out. I just got finished up with a WW2 waterfall dresser. Kept as much of the beautiful veneer as possible but had to paint the body.
Oh I'd love to see that! I haven't managed to get my hands on that style yet but I'll snap one up if ever I see one! Feel free to DM me pics via Insta :)
Looks fantastic! You always do great pieces. I like the new video format too, but to be totally honest, I am missing more of your personality. Loved to hear you just talking about whatever was on your mind.
@@CraftedbyMonnowLane I'll watch your videos no matter how you do them. You do such great work and the "this is me, like it or not attitude" just makes it more fun! I didn't mean any offense!
Hey there, Rachelle...good seeing you branch out!! 🤣 i bought french linen recently....need to figure out what piece it will go onto. You know how i let the furniture speak to me as to what is best!! It's not white, at least!! Super job on this one, as usual. It looks so much more up-to-date!! Be well my friend !!♥️
I Have used French linen which you can see on a small Side table on my IG page ...and I absolutely love how this cabinet came out so Beachy and airy and crisp and Gorgeous 🥰👍....French linen Looks absolutely gorgeous as a base coat for the Dixie Belle moonshine metallic line in "Steele magnolia" absolutely gorgeous together 🤩👍
Have just found your channel ... ( and 'liked commented and subscribed LOL ) This piece will be delighted with it's new look. I thought the paint brushed over the handles was inspired.
Hi! I've just starting painting furniture and after watching heaps of USA videos I finally found you in Australia! Can you tell me where you buy your paint from and why you use the Dixie Bell brand please? Thanks :)
Hi Laura-Jane. I don't use Dixie Belle anymore. My goto is Pureco. You can buy direct from their website or they have stockists listed on their website too :)
Oh man I am hearing you!!! You can take off if you're not careful huh?! Ha For my Rotex (the 150) i generally have the speed at 2, and I switch between the two options for the rotation. Can't remember which I usually settle on. You'll find that moving in a certain direction works better than another (again I can't remember which ha). With Rotex I always use both hands (you can see in the video) and move quote slowly. Initially I thought it was too powerful for me, but I'm comfortable with it now. Just go slowly and keep the speed low. When you find your rhythm you'll love it :)
Awww hi Judy. Thanks so much. Gave myself a couple of weeks off over the holidays. Been back at it this week, and all being well, there will be a video you Monday 😊
I love what you did with this piece! I’m so glad you painted the body and left the wood to show on the top. You seem to be able to sense just what a piece wants! Must be psychic. 😁
Aww thanks so much Kay. I just roll with it (as is no doubt obvious in my videos haha)

My favorite piece I have just completed in a faux bone inlay blanket box, I would live to keep it but I just don't have the room.
Oh I'd love to see a pic! Hopefully in the future YT will allow photos in comments, but in the meantime Insta DM is my goto :)
@@CraftedbyMonnowLane I posted it on friends of flipping youtubers
If you use an oil based stain on the top, can you use a water based topcoat or does it have to be an oil based topcoat?
Love it x
Thanks Loraine xx

So pretty. Maybe the reason you haven’t used ‘griege’ before is that it is too much like white.😜
🤣🤣🤣🤣
As for the hinge alignment and remembering: i often take a photo. I will never remember. However you have this video you can go back and check.
Yup, before TH-cam my phone was full of photos of hinges hahah
I recently purchased the festool totex 125mm. It has so much ooph. Any tips on stopping the unbalancing for this lady with spaghetti arms haha.

hahah ... I'll try my best, but I can't make any promises ha
At 6:21, gorgeous!!!!

Did you just do 1 coat with the chalk paint?
Nope, 2 :)
@@CraftedbyMonnowLane would have thought 2. Thanks 😊👍
Have you ever had a problem with bleeding?
❤️
I use this color a lot. it will take almost any color of glaze or wax.
Great to know, thanks Shelley!
I like the country look=like the color, not white and not gray, but i like it
I like the 'not white' part 🤣🤣

First comment and first like. Haha
Yay!!!!!
Very dramatic change. So much brown hides the details.
I know right! Its amazing what paint can do isnt it?!
