Gotha. Leave them off ...Ford only used those for one year before it was found that the springs would hinder the function of the window crank... Their not needed...
Dr Chris, love ur informative vids. I have a question I'm having a hard time solving. I have what appears to be '68 doors on my '67. Or so it seems. Bought car in Dec '15 and is work in progress so lil things keep popping up but the door in question has the '68 handle and armrest and the other door has the '67 handle and armrest. While i have pulled panel off and have seen the mounting clip holes are in a slightly different spot, I really cant be positive it is a '68 door. Can you tell me if theres any way other than drill and file a new hole for armrest clip so I have matched door panels. I dont see any other way. Or is there..? Anyone have this scenario at all lol
I would also put a watershield between door and the panel, just to make sure moisture dont warp them any time soon.
Thank you cars ben sitting 44 yrs cause state trooper put it in barn got 302 rebuild it yr ago bout ready for strip putting door panel back on thanks
Sorry. Typo. The 69 panel has an armrest attached to the doors. what size are the 3 bolts that hold it in?
Nice video but why not put in the water guard under the door panel, isn't that a standard part of the door assembly?
What size bolts are in Wed for the 69 panel armrest?
The door handle escutcheon spring, I put behind the panel or front the panel? Thanks ..greeting of El Paso tx

Hi. Your correct. The only solution is to drill new holes. You can use the 68 door as your template for the 67 door
Thanks Chief. Much appreciated confirmation.
