I love hatchbacks. Started with MK2 VW Golfs, a Saab 93, BMW e46 Touring, a Fiat 500 and now I'm in a 2016 CT200h. It's nice to finally have a roomy hatchback that won't have an insane oil leak or computer failure -- the gas mileage is also a +, but the styling is great too.
Great review. I've been wanting a CT for the past eight years; finally got a white 2017 with premium package delivered last week some 700 miles from NJ. Definitely hard to find, especially when I wanted the camel colored seats and wouldn't settle without. I love it's rarity, too, and I'm already getting many compliments on how nice a car it is. Super zippy and responsive and incredibly fun and luxurious to drive!
Glad to hear that, congrats on your purchase! The CT certainly is a special car. I’m considering purchasing one myself, and hopefully I enjoy it as much as you enjoy yours.
My dash squeaks and rattles. I have a 16' and my friend works as a tech for Lexus, when it gets cold it's a squeaky sob. Doesn't make the noise in summer time. It's odd. I've been contemplating trading it for a 15' GS350
I love the look of these and because of their apparent lack of popularity they are VERY affordable in New Zealand where I’m moving back to. Great review bro, thanks…
Congrats on ur purchase, great choice! I love the peanut butter interior myself- it’s the exact interior I would want if I got a CT. Thanks for watching too!
Great car. Had mine for a year now, it's a 2013 model currently with 43k (yes, only 43k) on the clock. I absolutely love this car and over the year I've had it I'm averaging over 58mpg...note, these are UK gallons as that's where I am. It's luxurious, refined, totally reliable and very economical.
I have a 2013 CT. Truth is my wife has, but she's taken a shine to my Rav4 plug in. A happy wife is a happy life so the CT has more or less become my daily driver. It's not bad. Very comfy and drives beautiful. It's not just a car for driving around town. I live in Norway and visited my family in Copenhagen, Denmark. I drove back through Sweden. 550 km with just a one minut stop to P. The seats are magnificent. No stiff og hurting back when I parked the CT in our parkingcellar. It's just a great car. 93.000 km and besides new rotors and pads in the rear, theres been no expences besides maintenance at Lexus.
Great review except for the battery mode description. I believe battery mode gives more regenerative braking and hence charges the battery kind of like changing down gears when going down a hill in a manual car
Great review :) Love our 2011 CT200h but we had the catalytic converter stolen and have just fitted a CATLOCK from Lexus, which makes CAT theft much harder. Recommend the lock if you live, like us, in an inner city. Then it should be fine.
Yeah that’s true, the CT is usually an under the radar car since it’s pretty uncommon. The IS 250 is still a great car though, I’m a big fan of those also. I like both the IS and the CT a lot. Thanks for watching!
Love my 2006 Lexus is250 with 230000 miles! Still runs like new very dependable. I use full synthetic oil and only top tier fuel. I change the oil every 5000miles just as the manufacturer suggest even being a full synthetic oil. If you don't know top tier fuel google it very important for this particular vehicle due to known carbon buildup issues with low quality fuels this can really help to prevent more buildup as it includes a cleaning additive. However I would suggest everyone only use top tier in any car well worth using for the added benefits
im considering buying one of these but the one im looking at has 148k miles, do you think these will have the kind of longevity as other lexus? It would be my first hybrid
I would assume that the CT would have the longevity of a Lexus. The only thing I would be a little skeptical about is the battery. I don't know the average lifespan of a Toyota/Lexus battery, but I've heard new batteries and installation can be very expensive. Aside from that, I think it should be a good car in terms of reliability. Thanks for watching!
I've just picked up a 13 luxury model for a daily commuter, a week of mixed driving and I'm averaging 60mpg without hanging about, shame about the dates infotainment but i might get an android auto separate screen
My wife has a 2012 CT200 with 26k miles on it, YES 26k mi,es. She loves it, a very cute car that is vastly more attractive than its parent the HIDEOUS PRIUS. It is in IMMACULATE condition and has been well looked after. The only thing we have replaced is the 12 volt battery. So, should we keep it or sell it.
I like to put on cruise control and drive with my legs apart and my knees hit that hard plastic on the sides. Had to have some cushion put on to stop that,
I have a 2005 mazda 3 hatchback but I always like the looks of these because they look more sporty and faster. I mean barely people have them so thats a good good thing but does it save good on gas?
Haha that's not what bmode does. It's for going downhill to Regen energy without using your brakes. It is not for driving uphill for more traction 🤦🏾♂️
@@matthewgeneclayander Awesome glad to hear that. I just bought my 05 on Tuesday, it has 139k on it. It has had all it’s maintenance done with a stack of records dating back to 2013. Original black paint very minimal scratches, non sticky original dash(just scraped god knows how), stock just lowered on tein coilovers with Xxr 527s. Automatic of course but got it for 7500 I think I did well considering how much people are taxing on them nowadays.
I have a 2011 ct200 and absolutely love it! 120k and never have had a single issue other than regular service!
That’s pure proof of Lexus’s immaculate reliability. Thanks for watching!
My 2011 ct200h needed a new engine after 133k miles!
@@alexcharrett7625hat do you mean 113k miles you already have to get a new engine?

You should have gotten a WRX hatch. That's what I got, and it's actually quick and fun to drive lol.
Just bought a 2012 200h premium, super excited & a great review

Awesome. I too just bought 2014 41k white loaded....and I love. Did not know how great this car handles....43mph

thank you for the review of my car!! learned a few things myself from the video and hope you enjoyed reviewing it!
I certainly did. Thanks again for letting me review the CT!
I’m picking up a 2013 ct 200h tomorrow actually. Same color and interior color
Congrats on ur purchase, great choice! I love the peanut butter interior myself- it’s the exact interior I would want if I got a CT.

Thank you! Sorry to hear about your catalytic converter though
2014 we bought last year is pretty cool. And pretty small inside. Not much storage. But love 39 mpg
Bro you didn't even mention that this cars drive train is identical to a prius. I think that's pretty good info to tell people.
Thank you for the review!
What's more amazing to me is how you fit in that tiny hatch in the back! The very amazing part for me.
Nice review with the cockpit functions. I am doing initial research and have been wondering why the control center screen was missing on some of them.
Excellent review mate
Thank you very much!
I saw two of these lately! I bought a 2006is250 I wish I saw this car before I didn’t know of this model ...it’s very nice car

That’s up to you, you could probably get a solid price for it if you sold it. If not, the CT is a great car that gets good MPG.

It's literally a prius that's been rebadged, your mazda is faster
Good value used in Great Britain. Go to main dealer and get really nice examples.
My next car
That’s awesome, I hope you enjoy your CT!
every one is saying the mpg isnt that great..its either this or a golf GTD for taxi
Great Video!! Great Car! My Next car: CT200h executive plus, 2014 because it get new steering wheel and "joystickpad".
