In history before arrival of Malla King Jaysthiti Malla in 14th Century, there was practice of making of King of Nepal Mandal from either Bhota House residing in Banepa or from House of Tripur residing in Bhaktapur one after another.
This practice continued for almost 100 years. This shows the importance and power of those Kings from Bhota House during those period.

Such a fantastic conversation, every bit of this podcast was very informative. The way of taking the conversation in a sequential way starting from the time long back in history till the latest updates, because of the contribution from both Sushant dai and Sudheer ji was fantastic. Having worked in a research on the Nepal-Tibet war and having had access to some of the primary sources (offical letter written back then), I could relate to some of information as well as famous names like Shyamarpa Lama. Also, I guess King Mahendra couldn't successfully remove the army postings around the border reason and that became a big issue/reason for the Lipulek/Kalapani border issue that we have been facing.

Actually Zenghis Khan and Kublai Khan both were influenced by Buddha dharma in the old age of their lifetime.
Mongols were the ones who established Dalai Lama tradition. It still continues until this day and age. There is an interesting chapter of Zenghis Khans life when he was prisoned in China and he encountered a Buddhist monk in the prison.

Northern countries in past like Tibet ,China, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan shared similar history with ethenic people that live in Nepal. for example sikh term khalsa mean king of king of persia. if you see who was teking of sumerian from bible to even quran to even torah and other is kashite king of kish (from which the term khas arrives as people of kish are kashi-te), one of the 3 division of sikh army is fouje khas, mirpur khas in shind, kashan in iran, al-kashra in iraq, khasi hill in megalaya india, kashi in india (which by the way is due to kushan empire influence that arives from central asia who controled the gupta empire (golden age of india when Sanskrit flourished),kashghar in china is known as kashi in ugher language, kash province in Afghanistan and i believe khas people are said as tajik people. it the same term given in china and one way we can understand this similarity is when we look at kashmir. now we know kashmir even invaded nepal in 10th century, we also know khasas tribe live in kashmir, khasas who we nepali call as khas people. in 10th century nepali khas bramin and chetri also traveled to soutern india with adhi sankracharya. kashmir is said to be named after rishi kasyap. kasyap sagar is recognized to be Caspian sea (which by the way is named as kaspian sea (named after kas-pi people). if we nepali say valmiki ashram is in chitwan nepal and that kush was born in nepal.who later became king of kushdweep(ethopia and sudan), built the ram mandir in ayodha or even something that bible says Kingdome of cush 36 time in old testement, quran says king of babylon was king of ethopia and ethopian king say they are descendent of kush with langauge like kishawali (the city of kish). sudan has kas, iraq has al-kas as their land mark, do we nepali have kaski district (a place even vedh vyas may have been born). We are human being. Are the land named like kashgaon in bangaldesh, kashipur in india or kashmar in pakistan as example show this mindset of similarity, Sidhartha Gautam spoke in pali (a langauge in both north and south bramin script). Pali spoken in afghanistan, pakistan, srilanka, tibet, cambdoia, myanmar, bhutan, thailand, indonesia, infact when south indian king went to land outside india they spread pali. pali also known as sacred lanauage for budhist people with the strong influence from kingdome like magadh and khandar budhism was so wide spread it even reached native of israel like druzee religion who even say their ancestor practiced it. sita who married ram and land name like ram alaha in israel, ramaha in bible, al-ram in palestine (8km from holy city of Jerusalem) to even prohophet moses of other religion even married a cushite women ( a women who was a citizen of kingdome of cush),abram ^ hebrew^,(ibrahim and abraham) father figure of other religion born in kashite territory of ur and ur king made babylon next to kish (king of babylon nimroid king of ethopia in quran). This is one ethenicity of nepal the khas people, imagine the history of other ethenicity as well like tharu who came from thar dessert or sherpa in north who still also live in today china. kirati who are known in ramayan, mahabahrat, shiv puran and more. history is like a knot (sometime you tie it, sometime it become flexible but it is a time that has already passed).

Where did he obtain the funding from? Why this research paid and to spread the controversial message? These questions are very crucial before making any conclusion.
