Testing the 1000lb neodymium magnet from DIYMAG! Wish I had the camera angle better when testing my weight. I was fully swinging off it. I'll definitely be taking it out again this spring!

Great video, thanks for sharing and greetings from North Michigan, USA. If you want to go magnet fishing, let me know. I'm an old man and need some help doing this. I know of some sweet honey holes, tools, safes, guns, etc. fresh water finds.

I had never seen a fishing magnet before! That`s so cool, thanks for showing how it works!

They rate the magnet pull using a mirror polished, 1/2 inch thick, perfectly flat piece of high grade steel. I can bet that if the magnet was flush with the outer rim or poking out, the eye bolt was perfectly centered, and it was stuck to the center of a thousand pound solid Block of polished 1040 steel, it would become a permanent part of the block without bolting the block to the floor and pulling it off with a small crane, from a good safe distance.

Nice, man! I just grabbed a 1300 lb magnet, but haven't found the right spots to use it yet! Reallyw anting to take it out this spring. Crazy how strong the little buggers are!

Seriously man, I'm going fish the rivers up here in spring, can't wait. Maybe drag it in a canoe see what I can trawl up! I barely got it off the bridge. Wish I got it popping off on video. Was getting too cold, lol.

very interesting. my 250 kg magnet got stuck under the bridge I was fishing from! it took 2 maintenance guys 1/2 to get it off the steel frame, we did have fun but a big learning curve.
