Thanks for the cast. Just i read the comments and some people are asking why not Steam tank instead of cannons and why blazing knights. Cannons were there in case of mass Jezzail army, i do need to account for possibility them being in the army as i do not know my opponents army beforehand in quick battles, steam tank is a great unit but i find it a very dangerous pick vs SKV and WE's, i would strongly recommend it vs HE's and Greenskins though. Blazing Sun knights synergise really well with fire wizard due to kinderflame (basically when you cast fireball or any fire spell and charge in your knights, they do 22% more damage). Black Lion is bonkers, such a strong (OP) unit currently BUT quite fun to use *caught abuse Also if anyone has any questions regarding this game (such as my thinking process behind the army selection or at some point in the game) feel free to ask, ill do my best to provide my insight.

@@Illuminum2392 i agree with you but this is in hindsight, if i knew what my opponent had than i would not have picked xbows my thinking behind the pick was to cycle charge with cav and units left on low HP would get routed by xbow fire, i picked xbows due to longer range, i also had xbows incase he had 5 slingers or lots gutter runners. against the army he picked they were bad i admit but it allowed me to be competitive in case he took different army choice. sometimes its worth to make sacrifices in one area so you can compete overall. the above sentence might be hard to realise when you see a replay or a cast but its the main mistake many people make in quick battles, they optimise vs one kind of army while they leave their army venerable vs others, i rather be ok vs one type and ok vs other than be auto win vs some but struggle vs others, this allows me to use my "skill" to attempt to win....i hope this makes sense.
Black Lion isn't OP: 1800 is a lot of gold for one unit that will die to any 400 gold dogs that catch it. It will wreck people who don't bring any fast units, accurate artillery, or the right magic, but that's entirely the fault of the player.

I gotta say Indy, I love your casting. I download a couple videos into my library while at work and on the drive home I let them play. This match was exciting, you portrayed it perfectly, and I didn't watch a minute of it til I got home, but I already knew everything that happened. You have really come into your own on the casting, keep it up

My favorite game you posted so far. I love nail biters more than the one sided games that are usually posted. Even more so when the momentum swings so far in such a short time
They need to work on balancing the game more. Empire are way too strong now and the dread saurian is just an instant loss in any match up. The most powerful monster creature in warhammer lore and it has less effectiveness than a normal carnosaur
I strongly disagree about dread saurian, i think the feral one might be even too good for its gold, ill try send in replay so you can see how i sue it, i have not lost 1 game yet using the feral dread saurian and i had use it in about 50+ games so far, i just think they are balanced so dont stand out like the new empire toys which are just silly. I be happy to give you some pointers with how i use it and why its be successful for me. I strongly recommend it alongside mazda on his dinno and ancient sally (to get rid of missile units), i mainly use it vs HE/DE/GS/Norsca/Chaos/VC/Bret I would NOT recommend it vs Coast/WE/SKV/Dwarfs, it can be ok vs Empire (it destroys demis super fast) and TK.

Wulfhart and his generals shouldn't have fire while running away. while walking forward sure, but not away. Like why do other PISTOL lords only have the ability to shoot while standing still, but wulfhart, who isn't an elf, can fire while moving backwards with a bow. I really think this would give Alith Anar a place as an infantry sniper (mabe give him a bonus vs infantry ability like wulfharts or something) while wulfhart stays that bonus vs large.
The True heritage of the Volker von Meinkopt's hell blaster volley gun! This thing was one of THE most feared units in the tabletop game. When you saw your opponent bring one of those, it was always the center of your planning, either taking it out ASAP or staying as far away from it as you could.
I can't blame the skaven player for yoloing against wulfhart i mean empire literally had 1 unit and a half left...it was strange that army losses didn't come already! It was honestly impossible to predict that a the wagon who was still tied by chaft in melee would: not rout, defeat the clanrats reposition and shred the entire army...
Those actually should have their direction of fire towards the back. I mean why would you even point it at the front where you could hit your own horses 😂
The real monster of this DLC was not the dread it was the black lions RoR, where the dread was just a bid pin cushion the Black lions are just deadly killers and we are lucky that they are an RoR and not a unit that can be spammed.
That's the primary problem with Skaven, they don't have any fast units. (You REALLY have to use the clan-rat/plague-monk summons, and use them incredibly wisely.) Not having any elite infantry can easily be side-stepped, but not having ANY fast units, that's a higher hurdle. They should at least get ONE LORD or HERO who can fly. A experienced player can almost always just kite Skaven, spread them out, leave them helpless.
Incredible game! I love mobility based builds! I pulled one in Empire Total War campaign . The AI was death stacking me in the endgame and with my vast Empire I couldn't respond everywhere. I built several "cav only" armies so that I could travel further than the AI. All of those armies had field artillery and all sorts of cav, enough tools to derp out the AI. It felt like the blitzkrieg. This game reminded me of that a little.
I wanted to ask in case anyone had any input. Do you guys believe nakai and the kroxigor ancient's animations were accidenlty swapped or anything. I only ask cause for some reason the krox ancient look alot more intelligent than nakai especially with their regal stance, also note in the Hunter and the Beast trailer that initially the krox ancient seemed alot more hunched over similar to nakai's current animation rigging. Something more to think about, I just felt it was odd for nakai and his character as much as I do love his little war-skips of bloody glee. Also realize this is quite a late comment so I many ask again on another vid incase. Not pretending CA fucked up just thinks its kinda funny. The Black Lions should have been called the Shredder of Lustria instead of the Dread Saurian RoR. They're nuts. They chunk everything in the game, and when you have markus, you don't need to focus with them on single entities so you can focus them on cavalry or heavy infantry.
Hey if nagash became a playable lord, what do you think his army would be comprised of. Do you think it would be a mix of vampire counts and tomb kings, same question for nefarata i guess. They seem to be their own flavor of undead
So lizardmen got some rly cool units but that are just not good because too expensive, while empire got some meh looking units but much better in pvp (especially that black lions RoR).
So I don't really know how this game works too well but would a summon of rats on Markus at the beginning when he was alone in the forest have tied him up and changed the outcome of the game? I don't even know how early you'd be able to do that.
the range on summons is quite small and theres a delay before they appear, so I think Wulfhart would have been able to escape that situation pretty easily. vermintide summons might have been able to catch up to him and get a few nibbles in, but i dont think they could have surrounded him and actually blocked his escape
Markus needs an immediate nerf. He's honestly worse than pre patch Crone Helibron. He won a 1 v 1 duel with WULFRIC in one of my games. Like I couldn't believe what I was seeing with my eyes. No, this is unacceptable CA. I get that balancing is tricky especially with new content but its been more than a week now.
Man it’s nice to see the empire finally get a rework but dayumn, that’s a little obscene what that RoR can dish out. Such an amazing battle though, I feel like every month the battles from content creators just get better and better.
Mobile powerful artillery is strong by default. Its low price for such advantage (wich is normaly the drawback of artillery... no mobility) make it op.

Thought for a moment that this was referring to the Skaven-unleashed plague that got its own trilogy of novels featuring the rise of Mandred Skavenslayer. I was only marginally disappointed to discover this was not the case. That ending was crazy.
no, they don't. I really wish they'd stop nerfing based solely on either CA thinking we need a challenge in single player (this can be done via fleshing out a faction, etc) or multiplayer. It's fine if they buff Alith Anar now, sure, but they don't need to nerf anyone.

The fact that Empire were given the low-tech units like War Wagon and Archers has me thinking that we won't be getting Kislev (and definitely not Southern Realms), since it just seems like those rustic elements are being incorporated into the Empire.
Archers are also used by Brettonia, Wood Elves, High Elves, Tomb Kings, Greenskins and even Beastmen. It doesn't mean that we are not going to see another faction with archers, it is pretty popular weapon after all
Also costs much more than marcus and cant do 2000+ dmg with 1 ability and execute with 2nd one, Arrrow of kurnos does around 400damage. I Do think shes a good ranged lord, but not even close to Markus currently, noone is. Markus also does 700damage per normal shot to large targets with it being AP, as opposed to glady who does around 200.
some atrocious play from the skaven at the end of that game plus markus being grossly op and the RoR wagon having some bugs like firing while moving...

While this style of play is extremely satisfying, its also very taxing. I mean lotus_Moon played it almost perfectly, and still barely got there.

no, they don't. I really wish they'd stop nerfing based solely on either CA thinking we need a challenge in single player (this can be done via fleshing out a faction, etc) or multiplayer. It's fine if they buff Alith Anar now, sure, but they don't need to nerf anyone.

@@LuzikArbuzik77 yeah it is. I get it, I'm not saying I don't understand but we go from reasonable alterations to things no one asked for (like port income reductions) and are half the time, readjusted to some new compromise later.
Talk about back and forth. I've not watched much TW stuff (just you), but I don't think I've ever seen a comeback when the balance bar was that lopsided. Love seeing the Empire win like that.

nerfs had nothing to do with jezzails being useless this match, they were getting shot by artillery or chased by cav the entire time they were alive lol
The fact that Empire were given the low-tech units like War Wagon and Archers has me thinking that we won't be getting Kislev (and definitely not Southern Realms), since it just seems like those rustic elements are being incorporated into the Empire.
Archers are also used by Brettonia, Wood Elves, High Elves, Tomb Kings, Greenskins and even Beastmen. It doesn't mean that we are not going to see another faction with archers, it is pretty popular weapon after all

GG! On your comment about "best ranged lord", well the Glady has assets Marcus doesn't :) (Forest Dragon anyone?)
Also costs much more than marcus and cant do 2000+ dmg with 1 ability and execute with 2nd one, Arrrow of kurnos does around 400damage.
I Do think shes a good ranged lord, but not even close to Markus currently, noone is.
Markus also does 700damage per normal shot to large targets with it being AP, as opposed to glady who does around 200.
