I'm a big fan of skavens and greenskins, after the Ikit Claw dlc I was so happy with the skaven but holly molly I wasn't expecting Clan Eshin at all, its like a dream come true for me

Watching the death master animations highlights what the old foot lords need. Attacks that whack a ton of units and break up formation. Grimgor needs something like that amongst so many others.

Could we expect a Repanse de Lyonesse campaign when the DLC comes out officially? After all, I think everyone else would be doing Snikch or Malus playthroughs, and you've never really been one for the popular campaigns, or so it seems. Not saying that it's a bad thing in the least- hell, it's why I've subscribed to your channel.

Well, I would like to see Repanse Vortex Campaign cause it is confirmed she will be there, but I still have no idea how she will fit (and will CA add Lyonesse to VC or will she take control over one of Brets faction already there)
@@igorwisniewski9412 The most logical step would be for her to take control of Lyonesse, wait for the confederation with Artois and take out the Duke at that point. That´s not a lot of turns in.

@@igorwisniewski9412 In Mortal Empires I have done a little trick twice, I don´t cheese siege battles and charge head on, that usually leads to quite a few loss of troops. If you move your troops ready to attack just before confederating Lyonesse you can use all of Lyonesse´s troops in the same turn against the Duke.... as fodder. I know .. it´s off topic.

BTW. Calling Yanyuedao a halberd is not a big mistake but....it's not a halberd. To be more precise it's a Glaive. Which is super cool. Skaven Glaive Infantry. Inner nerd off.

@@jonnybravo595 The skaven have access to literal nukes, gatling guns, vehicles, powerful machine drills, and long ranged missiles. They have also sent a manned rocket into space in the vortex campaign. I think it's safe to say they have the advantage in technology.

Also, I vote for Vampire Ulrika to be a legendary lord/hero that you can field with Kislev or VC armies with access to units from either faction.
Maybe even make Gotrek & Felix viable with Kislev when that army drops.

So am I correct in assuming CA is more and more starting to add named unique heroes? Fingers crossed for Übersreik 5, or 4, doesn't matter.
There is a reference to them with the Red Moon Inn unique building in Ubersreik . It provides a garrison of a thane, an empire captain, a way-stalker, a witch hunter and a bright wizard.
I know, CA and Fatshark doing something like this is what makes me hopeful that maybe, perhaps, possibly they might add them as real heroes somewhere down the line.

On a more serious note, I'm excited to try Joan's faction in MP because the special hippogryph-mounted paladin could make picking a prophetess more viable and open up some other avenues of play.

It would be more lore friendly if every advanced peice of technology got a bonus vs skaven units, because I'm sure if you were to tally up kills with them, the skaven death count from there own weapons is far higher then kills on every other race combined

Seems like a really lazy oversight that the eshin wizard holds his sword with an open hand, just looks real weird and can't be hard to fix... love the game tho!
Hopefully, it'll be fixed in the official release. These guys are playing an early access version after all.

No Banner and she's wearing Imperial Plate armour (basically she's wearing armour that looks more imperial, i. E. Gothic Plate) rather than Bretonnian (i. E. 13th Century) armour....
Yeah no banner is a let down, but the gothic plate I guess is to resemble irl inspiration of joan D'arc
@@ardrej she should first of all fit her race rather than the historical inspiration. If she was to fit the inspiration, she wouldn't be a massive melee monster. the Battles of her were mostly coordinated and lead by the likes of the Duke of Alencon.
btw. Nice to see how her Sword of Lyonesse according to CA is a stronger weapon than Ghal Maraz.
Sword of Lyonesse: +40 Melee attack, +50% WD, +50% AP
Ghal Maraz: +16 AL, +50% AP
Repanse Base WD: 440 unknown breakdown yet, but seemingly quite a bit AP since she has the AP sign.
KF base WD: 470 with 130 AP
mhm... some Bretonnian sword is more potent than Ghal **** Maraz.
CA! BUFF GHAL MARAZ TO MAX POWER WIDOWMAKER LEVELS WITHOUT THE DRAWBACK!
Bretonnia armor is a mix from early 14th century armor (helmet) and late 14th early 15th century armor (mail, plate, surcoats, think agincourt).
Bretonnian lords have a surcoat with their respective heraldry and plate on their arms and spaulders with a hauberk underneath.
They're not wearing full plate (like the empire), but their armor is far from 13th century (I could give you the helmets) armor.
Bretonnians don't wear 13th century armor. It's more of a early 15th century armor.
That being said, the fact she has no banner is totally silly.
@@undertakernumberone1 in practice its not more powerful though, Ghal Maraz lasts a lot longer and all that bonus vs. large is much more effective and efficient combined with Deathclaw. So yeah the stat boost is technically larger, but you have to take their starting stats and entire kit into consideration. And Karl Franz on Deathclaw with Ghal Maraz is SCARY, while Repanse is solid but hardly a world beater, even when mounted on horseback.
Imagine casting Death Frenzy on those drillers, doubling their melee attack, preferably right after your opponent committed something expensive to kill them.
This makes me so damn excited. I love watching these, they just make me that much more eager to dump money on the DLC. Didn't think it'd be dropping as early as it is, either!
I made a super asinine comment MONTHS back about warp-grinders being some kind of weird anti-cavalry option. It's... not at all in the way I thought it'd be, but hey, they're here! In that same comment I also demonstrated that I actually had no clue what a doom-flayer was. Everything I'd read about them (which admittedly wasn't all that much) didn't say anything about them being piloted, just giant steel balls covered in blades let loose on the enemy. I figured they were like a fucked up skaven beyblade.

It really feels like they stepped up their game AGAIN. Every one or two DLCs they bring a grade-up to some part of the game. This time, it feels like they stepped up with animations - it was already noticable with Kroxigor Ancient/Big krox, but it's most apparent with Snikch.
I'm pretty sure you could do a viable all ranged Skaven army at this point and delete the enemy army before they hit melee
They could probably beat Vampire Coast and Elves in a range vs range battle lol, its so insane how many different play style skavens have now, the old was just swarm the enemy lol
Weird that the Lady or whatever is going on with Bretonnia would make such a cataclysmic exception in not immediately crushing the idea of an army led by an A: Peasant B: Woman, when normally it works full time warping the laws of physics to maintain their heirarchy.

I know that it won't fit in the timetable but I would love it if every old world race got either a DLC or FLC that allows them to be played on the Vortex campaign.
Biggest problem would probably be that some of the game 1 races fit much better to game 3 so they are probably saving new lords for them to add into 3rd installation. With all the focus on chaos races in 3rd game, I think i.e. beastmen would be much more fitting to get more stuff in it.

Still have no plans to try out Skaven, but it looks like I can finally give Bretonnia a go.
After looking at the sneak peek for Eshin and Malus' mechanics, it's apparent Malus is basically doing the same thing that everyone else is-- gathering scrolls for the vortex. He's effectively just playing the vortex campaign with a personalized twist on it. Eshin doesn't have the vortex resource stuff. They're doing something different it looks like.
I might be wrong, we don't know exactly what Malus objective is because we haven't seen the "objectives" tab be opened yet. But frankly, while Malus himself, the units, and all the Lords look awesome, the Dark Elves don't look like they are going to have a truly "new" experience.
I'd be happy with this if not for the fact that Malus' Possession mechanic looks more irritating to manage than fun. For 0 demon possession, you have half off for all construction costs (really good actually) and +10 public order (also great). What's not so great is -10 melee attack on all units factionwide. It just feels odd that I'd buy an elixir when I could sit in a settlement and wait to reduce his daemonic possession too. Funnily enough this is literally what makes "pay to win / paywalls" so boring-- you either wait in a settlement to lose possession levels, or you pay up.
All in all, I'm hoping I'm missing something

looking at the gameplay the Deathmaster is also good at killing cav and infantry so I would say he is a very versatile assassin lord and he can definitely take care of himself.
I wonder, if 'Warlock' - Ikit Claw have prepared upgreades for mortar and grind teams in his workshop, then this will be fantastic! Also another question: When can we see Malus and new DE units? (of course, if you can share this news).

I'm super stoked for Snikch and Darkblade. Little disappointed we got another Bretonnian this time around though. Chaos, Norsca, Orcs, Wood Elves and Beastmen are needing far more love than Bretonnia. I know we're still waiting on updates for those five, but they're also needing Lords like there's no tomorrow.
