Having owned a 2017 RSV4 for several years now I can say that your review after just one week of riding is bang on. The amount of time and effort you put into this channel deserves recognition and I hope it grows to reflect that. LCR is in my opinion is second to none when it comes to accurately conveying the experience you can expect with ownership of whatever he reviews. Enjoy the V4 soundtrack while you can, the EV revolution has begun and soon LCR will be talking about Kwh, range, charge time etc.

You can see your maximum lean angle : just switch the display to race mode, and press the high beam flasher switch to start a new lap, then you can check the max lean angle (lap by lap) by going to the menu. Or use the V4MP platform and the smartphone application. Or you can simply check your rear tyre's chicken strip :3
Great follow up review - you are spot on with regards the Aprilia Network. I own an Aprilia Tuono and luckily live a few miles from Wheels Peterborough , i have their lifetime guarantee on mine and are very lucky to have them as a local dealer. My Tuono is reliable as was my Honda Blackbird or my 950 Duke or SP1 .
you need to have bought the bike though them and be paying for all the services though them - then they fix faults for free - (not tyres, pads and stuff that wear out). As long as you are paying monthly for the servicing the guarantee is in place on your bike. It has saved me hundreds.@@kolokolok

Lamb Chop Rides if you can’t find neutral easy then this motorcycle definitely has car engine oil in it, you need motorcycle oil I use Mobil 1 4T 10w-40 for motorcycles 4 Liters

Hey dude. Great review as always. Great roads up around Goodwood. I’m over there a fair bit as that’s where my parents live so Bury Hill is a regular haunt! Just a side note: The 12k service is only that expensive if the mechanic decides to take the engine out to make his life easier. I used to take mine to Bikers World in East Grinstead. The mechanic there John, actually races RSV4s. He does the valve check without removing the engine. It takes a lot less time and the bill reflects this. I’ve got no affiliation btw. He’s just a bloody good mechanic and a great bloke to boot! Handily, he’s only 10 mins down the road too!
can't find Neutral ?! it is something you just need a soft foot for mate :-) take the clogs off !!!! when you change gear you need to be positive - its a racing box designed to be fast shifting and not give false neutrals, box is excellent, QS & Blipper is the absolute best - once you have an RSV4 for a day you learn to be soft going into neutral. I've had other bikes like this - awesome bike, I think my 2017 would be getting swapped in if they changed the headlight design and made it more modern looking. Power, APRC, Handling & brakes are just the best !

I think the fuel consumption is 20 % more because every aprilia v4 owner will open up throttle at every opportunity. I mean who stupid enough to resist the majestic sound of aprilia's v4 right?
doni daniello after my R1m I went MT10 and LOvE IT but the STOCK exhaust sounds shit!!! Cat delete y pipe and that crossplane 4 sounds oddly v4-like! Amamzing . My point is,..the MT10 notoriously gets horrible mileage,...but I got MUCH better mileage with the stock exhaust lol the new amazing sound and I'm going MotoGP from light to light, usually on one wheel,..just LOve that sound!!! So pretty much my fault ! Very insiteful and true! 👍

Other bikes do have simalar things but never heard one make as much difference as this.. Yes you will get through static noise test but drive by tests could be an issue perhaps..
SONAMOTO I could not believe that little section of road where he's flicking back and fourth side to side and just at the valve opening rpm so it keeps closing and opening several times and I legitimately thought the bike shut off the first time in that series!!! That's amazing!!!

I was watching your video and reached the point where you have problem finding the neutral in the gearbox, I saw it too in a small test I did with it, if you see my video you will notice my hand moving before getting in the track, at that point you can watch the TFT screen and see that I'm trying to find the neutral at that point and that's why my left hand looks like shaking. I was thinking that I was doing something wrong but then I saw your video and you mentioned it :-)

I'm sorry to disagree with the turning of this bike is magnificent. It turns like no other bike I have been on , R1 BMW HONDA . You just don't have the suspension setup. Coming into the corners under heavy breaking shocks fully compressed And release the break and it screams at you i'm going to turn now! It's got the best fuel out any bike for the rubber on the road! Finding the false neutral or neutral wile shifting is purely ergonomics if you have the bike setup for you you will not happen. There's no fuel gauge but it screams at you don't pass the fuel station or you be sorry. Less then 100 miles a tank when getting it hard 120 for playing its thirsty 24/7. And then he loves oil changes at every 2,000 miles. Make it last it gets hot.
Hey LCR, Why did you do this review? I had a disastrous experience with an Aprilia that I owned a couple of years back. In Australia the dealer network is few and far between. My local dealer is totally f@#ked and did all they could to lie and stuff me around. Over a two year period the bike was off the road for at least 6 months. No fuel gauge...I rest my case. So as a matter of principle, I’ve said that I’ll never buy another Aprilia as long as my arse points to the ground. But now you go and show me this🤔😂😂😂😂
That’s the thing, many super bikes are so powerful and tall geared you can use 1st easily, it’s not dangerous or jerky - I have a 2017 I am just swapping for a 2019 and 1st gets used a lot on road and track - my 2016 R1 was the same

I just rode a 2019 1290 SD GT and it’s blipper was rubbish at low RPM - used the clutch and it was far better. Especially 2-1.

On my Tuono I removed the fuel filler and dremelled the hole larger. Problem solved no more spilling.

Ohh lord what a porn mahcine.. However i tried the Aprilia RF 2018 and tuno and OHH MY GOD!! The QS and autoblipper and sound was porn.. i have no ide where you got that the QS is clunkey it was MILES better then anything i`ve tried my old HP4 QS was like a LADA compared.. i tried R1 ducati etc etc.. But for me when you are at throttle nothing touches that QS it was slik smood and faster than anything!!

I still would like a Tuono thats the best bike i have ever ridden on the street OMG and thats from a guy that rides the widomaker like it should, so it says it all!! and i am a R bike guy to the bone, GZ I dont even like electroics hahaha... Man i need to take a shower =)
The sound of Aprilia RSV4 1100 Factory is so clean. The best noise that I've heard from any superbikes.
I was watching your video and reached the point where you have problem finding the neutral in the gearbox, I saw it too in a small test I did with it, if you see my video you will notice my hand moving before getting in the track, at that point you can watch the TFT screen and see that I'm trying to find the neutral at that point and that's why my left hand looks like shaking. I was thinking that I was doing something wrong but then I saw your video and you mentioned it :-)
My Tuono sounds the same with the E4 Akrapovic mounted. About 5000rpm it's like hell on earth 😎

I'm sorry to disagree with the turning of this bike is magnificent. It turns like no other bike I have been on , R1 BMW HONDA . You just don't have the suspension setup. Coming into the corners under heavy breaking shocks fully compressed
And release the break and it screams at you i'm going to turn now!
It's got the best fuel out any bike for the rubber on the road!
Finding the false neutral or neutral wile shifting is purely ergonomics if you have the bike setup for you you will not happen.
There's no fuel gauge but it screams at you don't pass the fuel station or you be sorry. Less then 100 miles a tank when getting it hard 120 for playing its thirsty 24/7.
And then he loves oil changes at every 2,000 miles. Make it last it gets hot.

I had a disastrous experience with an Aprilia that I owned a couple of years back.
In Australia the dealer network is few and far between.
My local dealer is totally f@#ked and did all they could to lie and stuff me around.
Over a two year period the bike was off the road for at least 6 months.
No fuel gauge...I rest my case.
So as a matter of principle, I’ve said that I’ll never buy another Aprilia as long as my arse points to the ground.
But now you go and show me this🤔😂😂😂😂

Change gearing -1 / +3, problem solved, but you never reach 270+, I choose.
That’s the thing, many super bikes are so powerful and tall geared you can use 1st easily, it’s not dangerous or jerky - I have a 2017 I am just swapping for a 2019 and 1st gets used a lot on road and track - my 2016 R1 was the same
Been there with that downshift from third, straight through second and onward into neutral. Certainly wakes you up.

Im 6 ft 1, and you said it's a bit uncomfortable. I only do Sunday rides which usually lasts a total of 4-5 hours, wanted to know if the bike gets too uncomfortable when riding for that long. And how do you reckon a tall rider will look on the bike? I don't want to look like a giraffe on a crotch rocket😂
It's a little cramped but providing you get off every hour stretch your legs it's fine 👍
