one of my proudest and most vivid gaming memories is beating simpsons arcade in Lake Tahoe, alone with like 5 dollars worth of quarters
Killeen Mall Arcade, took me $4 of tokens. I think twice an adult hopped on and played but I did 80% of it alone.
Beachcomber, New Jersey front arcade played with 3 other randoms, and like 8 dollars. Never had another experience like that again.

Hit and Run and Road Rage hold a special place in my heart, even if it was a quick capitalization on Crazy Taxi & GTA
It's funny how Hit and Run compared to GTA, it's more like Driver 2 but with a bit more platforming.
Hit and run actually was just supposed to be another crazy taxi ripoff but because the threat of being sued was so likely they switched it up so you could get out the car. The similarities to GTA truly were unintentional

I been rewatching The Simpsons recently, I forgot how the funny show was. It's amazing how the older seasons hold up to this day.

I did a rewatch of the first 13 seasons (how far I ever got into watching it while it was on) like a year or so ago, and I was surprised by how many lines from the show have been embedded into my brain. They’d say something and I’d think, “oh is THAT why I say that??”
The 2007 game is one of the last actually great pieces of Simpsons media. It is super funny, and I recommend it. Even if you're not gonna make a video on it.
Simpsons arcade was so nostalgic I remember playing it with my cousin at Chuck e cheese back in 2001 everytime it was his or my birthday, we never finished the dream level because it was hard, Simpsons hit and run was fun because I thought it was the closest family friendly thing to a gta clone without the violence but it was fun

As someone who was born in 2001 it’s kind of crazy to me that I never realized that the simpsons arcade game was made in the 90s. My experience with the game was from the mid 2000s when I would go to my brothers hockey games where there was often an arcade section inside the arena. I remember distinctly one arena having the cabinet and playing it. Seeing as I was around 6-8 at the time I sucked ass at the game and couldn’t get past the first level.
All the same, even at the decline of the arcade trend in the US I still find having experiences similar to people of the past generation somewhat amazing to me.
I love Hit and Run, even though my dad didn’t want me to play it when I was little. I haven’t played Arcade or Road Rage, but I vaguely remember the Simpson’s Arcade being at the indoor sports complex I played soccer at when I was five. I’d always sneak away from the game to watch the bigger kids play it!
Playing the Simpsons arcade game in the 90s was an absolute nostalgia piece for me and my brother. Seeing gameplay really took me back...

Sports Plus was pretty wild, I remember one time we had a school sleepover at sports plus?!?! except there wasnt any sleeping, it was just a bunch of 8th graders playing games at 3am???
sports plus had a pretty wild like physical punching game with 6 individual targets that would pop out at you and a bunch of different boss fights

We had a free-play arcade in our town for a while. Pay a single fee and play as much as you want to. They had X-Men, Turtles in Time, and Simpsons Arcade. I hope those machines survived.
I'd forgotten about Crazy Taxi. Never played the other two Simpson games, but Hit and Run was a favorite for a very long time. Think I managede to get all the collectables. Was a long time ago. The best Simpsons game for me though, was Krusty's Fun House on the origional Gameboy. Absoloutly loved that game!! Cheers, Fuzzy. See you on the next one.👍

Road Rage and Hit & Run carry so much nostalgia, probably low "replayability" today but reminds me of childhood. Definitely would love a video on their 2007 game--was so much fun even with as much time that had passed!
Hit & Run is still fun today. I bought it about 6 months ago for my xbox and really enjoyed replaying.
Hearing you talk about The Simpsons Arcade actually reminds me of an old flash game i played back in the day "Family Guy vs American Dad" a street fighter style game & it was AWESOME!

Hit & Run was definitely the best of the Simpsons games. I’ve actually only played road rage and H&R, but from what I can tell, it definitely was the best of all the games. It holds a very special place in my heart as I’ve beaten it so many times I can’t even count. I had it on GameCube and it was so much fun. I actually wish I could find my old copy. I may need to just see if I can find another copy to play it again

There is one or two of the newer episodes I'd say are worth a watch. Specifically the LEGO, Futurama, and Family Guy ones.
The last few seasons have picked up bad habits from Family Guy by incorporating cutaway gags, which wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if the timing between jokes didn't drag on too long.
Was born in the late 90's and still saw the arcade games here in Australia. The first arcade game I played and it was awesome that me, Mum, Dad, and sister could play together.
Was excited when Road Rage and Hit and Run came out, just going around Springfield was mind blowing
Road Rage on the GBA was one of the first video games I ever played when I was 5 and it still holds a special place in my heart. The visuals and soundtrack in particular make me feel super nostalgic. Aside from that, I also played the hell out of the 2007 Simpsons game on the ps2.
Maybe it’s because I’m a zoomer that was born in the 2000’s but The Simpsons was always more significant to me as a video game franchise than as a show. I grew up loving the games but I couldn’t tell you anything about the first 15 seasons of the show lmao
It 100% is an age thing I'm just a little bit older and for me it's a mix of knowing it as an iconic TV show as well as viewing it as a video game franchise as well given how many came out in the early and later 2000s. To preference I was born in the late 90s.
A video on The Simpsons Game (2007) would be dope! Great memories of that one. Turned in my copy at GameStop as a kid for like $5, now I can’t find one anywhere for a decent price 🤦♂️
I enjoy all of these games. I was actually playing Road Rage recently and got over 100k on Powe Plant stage.
I played Road Rage so much when I was a freshman in high school. I still don’t know if it’s any good but I really love that game
My favourite behind the scenes detail of any video game is likely Hit and Run. They were concerned Matt Groening wouldn't approve of the game as it allows violence against Simpson characters. When they gave him a beta copy of the game the first thing he did was kick Marge and laugh hysterically at the animation of her flailing on the ground. Something pretty much unchanged in the final game.

Road rage was the first game I played when I got my ps2. I never had hit and run. What I remember most is playing the Simpsons game. That game was amazing. And I replayed it when I got my psp last year.

I play Simpsons Road Rage on the Game Boy Advance because that's all I had at the time and I actually found that to be a technological marvel.
The Simpsons arcade game could just be one long fever dream, what with Smithers being the bad guy. I remember playing it way back when, one time at Butlins I got back from playing it and sat down in a cafeteria, mom and sister went into the toilets and got locked in there for ages. That is how I remember the game.
I like Road Rage. The thing about Crazy Taxi, at least the one with the Crazy Hop in it, SEGA ripped that from another taxi driving game from the 1980's called simply, Taxi Driver. They stole the jumping cab idea....OK maybe they didn't steal it, maybe they didn't know.....but I find it funny that two taxi series have jumping taxis.
Hit and Run is more like Driver 2, compared to any other game it's just a newer Driver 2 with some extra platforming. Now I like that style of gameplay, lots of car combat but my God, I hate the map design.
I want to mention that Hit & Run is based on Driver! Most of the mission types and the drifty handling are very directly based on Driver and Driver 2. Driver 2 is a great game if you like Hit & Run!

The 2007 game was fun and pretty challenging at some points in the game. I played it on the 360.

P. S: You gotta try True Crime: New York City. The setup compared to LA is different due to the three different cases along with the character and city. I enjoyed it even though the public didn't 😅🤷🏼 just give it a shot

4:03 tbh i was born in the late 90s and I was a baby but my sister and brother were young so they probably play the arcade game 🕹️ of the simpsons but I did remember sports plus back when I was a kid I used to go there for fun maybe in the 2000s and then I remember one of my elementary classmates had a birthday 🥳 party before but sadly 😢I really miss sports plus so bad I think I still have tokens of that place and didn’t get any good prizes I didn’t know they shut down that place I really miss it 😢 and I wanna play more of there arcade game 🕹️
I remember playing that side scroller Simpsons game at the arcade when i was a kid, arcades used to have cool games, now its all boring crap like angry birds and tetris which you can just play on your phone anyways

People that say hit and run is a gta clone haven't played driver. Cause the game feels more like a driver clone. Missions based on driving, on foot gameplay not having much to it and bad on foot gameplay

very cool :) i made a comment here about how one time in 8th grade they hosted a "sleepover" at sports plus but it was actually just hundreds of kids pulling an all nighter playing arcade games there at 3am. absolutely wild looking back on it lol, ive since left the island but totally random to be thinking about it
